다문화가정 자녀의 자아존중감과 대인관계 능력 및 비행예방 프로그램 개발

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 국제결혼가정과 외국인근로자 가정의 아동들이 문화적·언어적 차이로 겪는 학교생활의 어려움을 파악하고 이러한 어려움이 청소년 비행이나 학교 부적응 으로 진행되지 않도록 적절히 대처하는 프로그램을 개발하기 위한 것이었다. 이러 한 목적을 가지고 시행한 본 연구의 결론을 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 자아존중감의 경우, 외국인 아버지를 둔 학생의 경우가 가장 높았고 그 다음이 외국 인 부모를 둔 학생의 순이었으며 외국인 어머니의 학생들이 가장 낮은 것으로 나타 났다. 또한 다문화 가정의 경우 중등생이 초등생보다 자아존중감이 더 낮은 경향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 다문화가정의 자녀들의 학교 적응을 돕고 비행 행동을 예방하기 위한프로그 램의 개발에는 어머니를 외국인으로 둔 다문화가정의 학생들을 대상으로 한 자아존 중감과 대인관계능력을 향상시키기 위한 프로그램이 보다 중점적으로 개발․운영되 어야 할 것으로 판단되었다. 지역공동체와 연계하여 다문화가정과 자녀를 지원하기 위한 프로그램으로는 대학생 멘토링 프로그램을 비롯하여 다양한 프로그램을 개발 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was to develop the coping program for the children of multicultural family to improve the ability to cope with the difficulties of school life because of the difference in cultural and linguistic aspects. The results of this study to act with this purposes were as follows;First, the distribution of parent of 153 subjects were revealed that children of multicultural family were 70 and children of korean parent were 83. There were 56(80.0%) children of multicultural family with foreign mother, 6(8.6%) with foreign father and 8(11.4%) with foreign parent. Second, The level of self-esteem was revealed higher in subject with foreign father rather than children with foreign parent, and lowest in children with foreign mother. Third, children with foreign father rather than with foreign parent or foreign mother revealed higher ability in peer relationship. Fourth, the scores of social relationship disposition was increase from primary school to middle school in children with foreign mother and father in the contrast with decreasing of children of foreign parent. It suggest that it is important to develop the program to improve the self-esteem and ability of interpersonal relationship for the children with foreign mother. This study suggest the model of program such as social skill training program, career search testing, and visiting of historic interest to improve the self-esteem and ability of peer relationship by university student mentors.
