八物湯이 생쥐 임신중기에 胸線細布 및 腹腔 Macrophage로부터 cytokines 생성에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this research was to investigate effects of Palmul-tang water extract(PMTE) on cytokines production from murine thymocytes and peritoneal macrophages during the middle stage of pregnancy. PMTE (500mg/kg) was administered p.o. once a day for 7 days, and then thymocytes and peritoneal macrophages were separated. At the middle stage of pregnant mice, the production of interferon-γ, interleukin-2 and interleukin-4 from thymocytes was enhanced, but was decreased by administration of PMTE. The production of tumor necrosis factor-α and interleukin-1β from peritoneal macrophages was decreased, but tumor necrosis factor-α was enhanced and interleukin-1β was decreased by PMTE. The production of nitric oxide from peritoneal macrophages was enhanced, but was decreased by PMTE. The proliferation of thymocytes was decreased by PMTE. These results suggest that PMTE has the regulative action on immune function of thymocytes and peritoneal macrophages at the middle stage of pregnant mice.
四君子湯 및 四物湯이 人體波動과 活性酸素에 미치는 影響에 關한 實驗的 硏究

To prove the effect of Sagunjantang(SGJT) and Samultang(SMT) extract on the wave of Human Body and Active Oxygen experimentally, QRS & Free Radical of extract and precipitate of SGJT and SMT was measured. The results were summarized as follows; 1.SGJT extract and precipitate, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerable effect on the function of immunity & pituitary gland. 2.BaekBokRung of SGJT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerable effect on the function of heart & spleen. 3.BaekChul and Gamcho of SGJT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerable effect on the function of stomach & duodenum. 4.YinSam of SGJT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerable effect on the function of immunity & spleen. 5.SMT extract and precipitate, as a result of measuring QRS and Free radical, had a considerable effect on the function of immunity & uterus. 6.SukJiHwang of SMT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerable effect on the function of immunity & liver. 7.DangGui of SMT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerbale effect on the function of heart & spleen. 8.ChunGung of SMT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerbale effect on the function of spleen & pituitary gland. 9.BaekJakYak of SMT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerbale effect on the function of stomach & duodenum. 10.SMT extract had an effect on the function of female Urogenital system,SGJT extract had an effect on the function of male Urogenital system. These results suggested that SGJT and SMT extract might be usefully applied for suppresing of Active Oxygen formation, preventing the aging, curing all the disease resulted from Active Oxygen.

Infantile Convulsion, one of common emergency symptoms in pediatrics, arises from sudden derangement of the central nerve system, and can cause a sudden loss of consciousness and spasm. It falls into three categories; Acute Infantile cnvulsion, Chronic Infantile convulsion and Chronic Spleen convulsion. According to research, approximately 6~7% of all babies undergo spasm more than once. Since the treatment must be done immediately, acupuncture & moxibustion treatment can be one of the most important treatments in this particular case. Therefore, the focus of this study is on how acupuncuture & moxibustion can be utilized in the treatment of Infantile Convulsion, and the literary findings are as follows: 1. The meridian points used on acute infantile convulsion are Sugu(GV26), T´aech´ung(Liv3), Hapkok(LI4). 2. The meridians used on acute infantile convulsion are Governor Vessel(GV), Bladder Meridian(BL), Stomach Meridian(ST). 3. The meridian points used on accompanied symptoms with acute infantile convulsion are Haenggan(Liv2), Yangnungch´on(Liv3) on spasm, Paek´oe(GV14) on opisthotonus, Kokchi(LI11), Taech´u(GV14) on fever, Nogung(P8), Yongch´on(K1) on fainting spell, Chok-samri(S36) on body weakness. 4. The meridian points used on chronic infanitle convulsion are Shinguol(CV8), Ch´onchj´u(S25), T´aech´ung(Liv3), Kwanwon(CV4), Ch´ukt´aek(L5). 5. The meridians used on chronic infantile convulsion are Conception Vessel(CV), Governor Vessel(GV), Stomach Meridian(ST). 6. The meridian points used on accompanied symptoms with chronic infantile convulsion are Ch´onchj´u(S25), Kolli(CV11) on diarrhea, Taenung(P7), Shinmun(H7) on fainting spell, Kansu(B18), T´aech´ung(Liv3) on spasm. 7. The meridian points and meridians are Paek´oe(GV14), Sangsung(GV23), Sugu(GV26) of Governor Vessel(GV) and Chonjung(CV16), Shinguol(CV16) of Conception Vessel(CV) and Taedon(Liv1), Changmun(Liv13).

After treating a patient suffering from pelvic inflammatory disease, a significant result is gained as follows. This study was done from the patient who were at the oriental Medicine Hospital of Daejeon university during 15 days, from 12. 12 to 12. 26, 2001. A 27-year-old patient had complained an abdominal pain, chest discomfort, nausea, vomiting, urination difficulty and constipation. During the hospital periods, the kinds of therapy are acupuncture, moxibustion, herb-med and physical therapy. Given the treatment, she felt so satisfied about her symptom's improvement. But as a result of Ultrasonogram of pelvis, she had multiple follicles on the right ovary, so it had to be given a surgical operation. For the surgical operation, she was transferred to the Chungnam University Hospital

Experimental studies were conducted to investigate the hemostatic effect of the water extracts of Kwibitang. For this purpose, the effects of the extracts on the bleeding time in mouse tail and prothrombin time in vitro were estimated. Furthermore, its activity on the isolated uterine muscle in rats were investigated. The results obtained were as following; The bleeding time was not shortened, but the plasma prothrombin time in vitro test was significantly shortened. The uterotonic action produced by the extract was not inhibited by pretreatment of atropine and cyproheptadine, but completely inhibited by pretreatment of diltiazem at the doses of 10<sup>-5</sup>g/㎖.
