기존의 시민사회론은 시민사회 영역을 규범적·당위적으로 규정함으로써 실제 시민사회 영역에서 발생하는 운동의 양상과 영향에 대한 적절한 평가를 이루어내지 못했다. 본 논문은 ‘시민사회’의 이름으로 신자유주의적 경제개혁이 주창되는 현상을 살펴본다. 테크노폴(technopol)의 개념을 활용하여 시민사회에서 활동하는 전문가 집단들의 신자유주의적 전문성에 대해 분석함으로써 시민사회 영역이 실제로는 대중들는 상반된 전문적 행위자들에 의해 지배될 수 있음을 밝히고자 한다. 대표적인 예로서 시민사회 영역에서 가장 큰 영향력을 가졌던 경제정의실천시민연합(경실련)과 참여연대를 살펴 보고 있다. 경실련의 경우 기층세력이 요구했던 분배 문제보다는 노동유연화, 공기업 민영화, 금융시장 개방 및 자유화라는 국가 관료들이 주창한 신자유주의적 개혁 의제에 운동의 초점을 맞추었고 정치적 성향이 강했던 참여연대 역시 일정부분 경제적 이슈로 전환되게 된다. 이와 같은 연구를 통해 경제민주화의 개념이 우리사회에서 분배나 노동자의 경영참여보다는 시장개혁으로서의 함의를 가지게 되었는지를 시민사회 운동의 성격을 통하여 알 수 있게 될 것이다. Although the role of civil society has been considered as a desirable vehicle for consolidating democracy, there are some cases that the organizations of civil society become a proponent of neoliberal economic reforms, endangering social security. There was distinctive case during Kim Young-Sam regime. The CCEJ (Citizen"s Coalition for Economic Justice) played an important role to justify the neoliberal economic reform, implemented by Kim"s regime while the demand of equal distribution was disregarded. This paper examine the relationship between the role of civil society organizations and the neoliberal reform in Kim Young-Sam regime through the dynamic interaction among main actors.

<P>A triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) can convert mechanical energy from its surroundings into electricity. Surface properties such as surface area and surface potential are important variables for improving triboelectric performance. Thus, surface engineering is a promising technique for enhancing triboelectric performance. In this work, for the first time, we introduce a neutral beam based surface modification for enhancing triboelectric performance. First, we investigate appropriate NB treatment conditions for polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) that are used as the negative and positive triboelectric material, respectively. Secondly, we defined the optimal pairing of NB-treated PDMS and TPU for maximizing output performance. Then, we demonstrated the surface stability of NB-treated TENGs by comparing electrical output performances with plasma-treated TENGs for 3 months. Throughout this work, we showed the effect of NB treatments on the triboelectric performance of the TENG device. We expect that our results can provide a new method for improving performance of TENGs for self-powered systems.</P>

Purpose: The objective of the present retrospective analysis was to describe the experience of intraperitoneal (IP) paclitaxel and systemic chemotherapy in patients with peritoneal metastasis (PM) of advanced gastric cancer (AGC) in a multicenter setting in Korea. Materials and Methods: The medical records of patients with AGC, who were diagnosed with PM between January 2015 and December 2018, were reviewed. IP catheter was placed in the pouch of Douglas and was used for the administration of IP paclitaxel chemotherapy. Results: We reviewed the clinical outcomes of IP paclitaxel and systemic chemotherapy administration in 82 patients at six institutions in Korea. Mean number of IP chemotherapy cycles was 6.6. The mean peritoneal cancer index (PCI) was 21.9. Postoperative complications related to IP catheter and port were observed in 15 patients. The overall median survival was 20.0 months. A significant difference was observed in the survival rate according to the ascites grade (grade I and II, 24.1 months; grade III and IV, 15.3 months; P=0.014) and PCI grade (grade I, 25.6 months; grade II and III, 16.3 months; P=0.023). Conclusions: The feasibility of IP paclitaxel and systemic chemotherapy administration was demonstrated in this experience-based retrospective analysis suggesting that the procedure is beneficial in patients with PM of AGC.

<P>This study examined how the strain rate affects the room-temperature tensile behavior of hydrogen-charged 316L stainless steels. A high-temperature homogenization treatment was applied to the specimens after hydrogen charging and copper electroplating to remove the hydrogen concentration gradient. A softening phenomenon was observed in the hardening behavior of the H-charged and homogenized specimen at a strain rate of 2×10<SUP>−3</SUP>/s. The observation was further confirmed by an inspection of the fracture surface of the tensile test specimen.</P>
Early Gastric Cancer with Neurofibroma Mimicking a Metastatic Node: A Case Report

Neurofibromas are benign tumors that originate from the peripheral nerves, including neurites and fibroblasts. Generally, a solitary neurofibroma is located in the skin and rarely in other places. A 72-year-old female suffered from epigastric discomfort for 2 months. Endoscopic findings showed an early gastric cancer type IIc at the antrum. Abdominal computed tomography revealed early gastric cancer with a 1.6 cm-sized metastatic node posterior to the duodenum. Laparoscopic assisted distal gastrectomy and retro-pancreatic dissection were performed uneventfully. Histological examination revealed gastric adenocarcinoma, invading the mucosa without nodal metastasis, and a neurofibroma. Herein, we present a case of a gastric cancer patient with a solitary retroperitoneal neurofibroma which mimicked a distant metastatic node.
