Smartphone Color-Code based Gate Security Control

Smart building gate security control system using smartphone integrated with near field communication (NFC) has become part of daily life usage these days. The technology change in replacing RF NFC device using visible light communication technology based approach growing faster in recent days. This paper propose a design and development of gate security control system using color code based user authentication ID generation as part of an intelligent access control system to control automatic door open and close. In this approach gate security access control use the recent visible light communication technology trends to transfer the user specific authentication code to door access control system using color code on smartphone screen. Using a camera in the door access control system (ACS), color codes on smartphone screens are detected and matched to the database of authenticated user to open the door automatically in gate security system. We measure the visual light communication technology efficiency as a part of the research and the experiments have revealed that more than 95% users authenticated correctly at the suggested experiment environment on gate security control system.

Recently, the use of hazardous chemicals has been continuously increasing. Therefore, the international trade volume is growing and chemical accidents have increased. Nowadays, the safety awareness of the public has increased. As a result, the management and supervision of hazardous chemicals have been strengthened. However, the port policy of Korea has focused on increasing the volume of cargo through facility development. Thus, the port management of hazardous chemicals has been relatively neglected. For national economic growth and society, the port management of hazardous chemicals should be considered to efficiently ensure safety and economic growth. Therefore, this study assumed scenarios where hazardous materials were moved in a dangerous container, not only on appropriate wharfs but also in ports that were close to a big city. The BTX substances were selected among the toxic chemicals with large import and export volumes, and the risk distance and damage effects were predicted using various risk assessment programs. It is expected that this could be used to improve a port safety management system and could be utilized to determine the safety distance in case of an accident.

<B>Abstract</B><P>The Yonsei-Yale Isochrones have been widely used since its birth in 2001. We announce a major upgrade mainly making varieties of helium values available. The recent works on the globular clusters with extreme helium abundances have called for such a need. The new version of the <I>Y</I><SUP>2</SUP> Isochrones are available for [α/<I>Fe</I>] = 0 through 0.6, Δ<I>Y</I>/Δ<I>Z</I> = 1.5 through 3.0, and extreme helium abundances (<I>Y</I> = normal 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2), and for 11 metallicity grids, with full capability of interpolation. The database will be powerful for making population models. Besides, the accuracy of the models on the lower main sequence has been substantially improved. We illustrate the major upgrades and demonstrate the power of the new grids.</P>
