        벼 "Gamadiness"특성의 유전분석

        Nepal에서 도입된 수도 'Gamadi' 품종은 Gamadiness 특성(구내성숙성)의 유전분석을 시도하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 본연구에 공시된 표식인자들 즉 제 I 연관군의Cl, nx, Pla, 제III연관군의 Pn, Rd, Pub, 제II, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII 연관군의 각각 lg, g, Ps, gh, Hla, la, nl, bl, bc, 및 gl은 과거의 보고와 일치되는 분리비를 나타내어 이 실험에서의 유전분리가 정상적인 것이었음을 입증한다. 2. 'Gamadiness'는 2개의 우성유전자에 의하여 보족적인 작용으로 표현되어 Gamadi 9: 정상7의 분리비를 보였다. 이 2개유전자를 G-a와 G-b로 명명하였다. 3. G-a 유전자는 제Ⅸ연관군의 nl 유전자와 0.37± 0.027의 조환가로 연관되어 있음을 확인하였다. 4. G-b 유전자는 제XI연관군의 bc 유전자와 0.27± 0.061의 절환가로 연관되어 있음을 확인하였다.절환가로 연관되어 있음을 확인하였다. Gamadi, a native rice cultivar from Nepal in which the panicle remains enclosed within its flag leaf sheath upto maturity, was crossed with different genetic marker testers of 12 linkage groups in order to analyze its linkage relationship. The results obtained from the experiment were summarized as follows: Normal segregations of all the genetic marker genes used in this experiment viz Cl, wx and Pla of linkage group I, Pn, Rd and Pub of linkage group III, and lg, g, Ps, gh, Hla, la, nl, bl, be and gl of linkage groups II, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII respectively confirmed the previous results, and also strongly indicated that the genetic constituent of the Gamadi and marker testers is same. 'Gamadiness' (the panicle enclosing character) was controlled by two complementary dominant genes with the segregation ratio of 9 Gamadi to 7 normal panicle-exserting types. These genes have been temporarily proposed as G-a and G-b for gamadiness. G-a gene was found to be linked with the neckleaf gene (nl) of linkage group Ⅸ with the crossover value of 0.3733~pm 0.027. G-b gene appeared to be associated with the brittle culm gene (bc) of the linkage group XI with the crossover value of 0.2725~pm 0.061.TEX>0.061.

      • Effect of Gibberellic Acid (GA₃) Treated at Various Growth Stages on Internode Contraction and Gamadiness in Rice

        GA₃처리에 依하여 나타나는 苞內成熟性品種 Gamadi의 節間短縮性이 生育단계別 GA₃처리로 어떻게 變化하는가를 검토하기 위하여 Japonica短稈品種이며 生體內 GA₃合成이 되지 않는 것으로 알려진 Tan-ginbozu와 보통 長稈品種인 Indica의 Pokhareli Mashino 그리고 Gamadi 品種을 發根期, 分얼中期, 幼穗分化期 및 穗孕期에 GA₃처리를 하였다. 그 結果는 다음과 같이 要約된다. 1. 처리에 依한 草丈伸長效果는 分얼中期와 幼穗分化期에서 가장 현저하였고 穗孕期에는 모든 品種에서 效果가 減少되었다. 生育初期의 처리效果는 Gamadi 品種에서 가장 微微하였고 Tan-ginbozu 品種에서 가장 현저하였다. 2. 草丈 伸長效果는 分얼中期에 처리한 것과 그 以後에 1回, 2回, 3回, 4回 처리한 것 들 間에 큰 差가 없었다. 3. 節間短縮에 미친 처리의 영향은 品種과 처리시기에 따라 다르게 나타났다. Tan-ginbozu는 發根期 처리로 稈長全體가 短縮되었고 그 以後의 처리에서는 上位節間들이 伸長되어 全體的으로 長稈이 되었다. Pokhareli Mashine도 上位節間이 伸長되어 全體的으로 長稈이 되었다. Gamadi는 下位節間들의 伸長으로 全體的으로 長稈이 되었지만 幼穗分化期처리로 苞內成숙성과 第3節間의 極端的인 短縮이 이뤄지고 그 以後의 처리로는 穗梗이 若于 伸長되었다. GA₃was treated on the rice cultivars Tan-ginbozu which is a dwarf Japonica, Pakhareli-Mashino which is a tall Indica, and the Gamadi is an Indica and their panicles do not exsert and remain in the sheath of flag leaf, at the growth stages of rooting, mid tillering panicle initiation and booting, to make clear about the influence of growth stages on the internode contraction of Gamadi cultivar by the treatment of GA₃. The results are summarized as follows; 1. The immediate effect of GA₃treatment was most pronounced at mid-tillering and panicle initiation stages and at booting stage it was reduced. At the rooting stage, Gamadi showed least effect and Tanginbozu showed most significant. 2. After mid-tillering stage. the immediate GA₃effect was not different significantly among treatments. 3. GA₃effects on the internode contraction was variable depending on the cultivar and the growth stages treated. Tan ginbozu treated at the rooting stage showed reduction in culm length, but increased it through elongation of upper internodes in other growth stages. Pokhareli-Mashino also increased the culm length the elongation of upper internodes. The Gamadi increased their culm length through elongation of lower internodes, contracted their 1st and 3rd internodes extreamly by the GA₃ treatment at the panicle initiation stage, and showed symptoms of peduncle elongation by the treatment at later growth stage.

        일장조건이 수도 GAMADI 품종의 이삭 추출에 미치는 영향

        출수 후 수확할 때까지 이삭이 전혀 추출하지 않고 엽초에 싸여 등숙되는 특성을 가진 Nepal의 수도품종 GAMADI를 포장 및 벽실 양조건의 8시간, 자연일장 및 24시간 일장하에서 생육시켜 일장조건이 GAMADI 품종의 이삭 추출에 미치는 영향을 검토하었다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 8시간과 자연일장 조건에서는 이삭이 전혀 추출되지 않았으며 24시간 일장조건에서 생육된 경우에만 전체 이삭 길이의 71% 정도가 추출되었다. 2. 24시간 일장조건에서는 상위 제일절간신장 정도가 8시간과 자연일장에 비하여 현저하여 이삭추출과 유의한 관계에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 3. 제3 및 제4절간신장 정도는 자연일장에 비하여 8시간 및 24시간 일장조건에서 유의하게 낮게 나타났다. 4. GAMADI 품종의 수장, 수당입수는 일장에 영향하지 않았다. 5. 수원의 자연상태에서의 GAMADI 품종의 임실율은 Nepal에서 보다 현저하게 낮았다. The panicle enclosing Gamadi rice cultivar from western Tarai of Nepal was treated with different daylengths; 8 hours, natural daylength i.e. 14 hours 30 minutes to 12 hours 30 minutes, and 24 hours throughout its life cycle. The extremely long daylength of 24 hours induced the panicle exsertion, and elongated the first internode from the top, but did not affect the second internode significantly, suggesting that the panicle exsertion was strongly correlated with the first internode elongation in the Gamadi rice cultivar.

        Effect of gibberellic acid (GA₃) on the internode elongation of some semi-dwarf hybrid rice (F₁)

        Four rice cultivars (2 semi-dwarf Indica/Japonica, one tall Indica and one tall Japonica) and their hybrids, when treated with the foliar application of exogenous gibberellic acid (GA₃) (10 and 50 ppm) around panicle initiation stage, showed the immediate effect on the total plant height elongation up to 14 days, and GA₃ did not affect the natural growing tendency during the effective period. The apperant additive, overdominance and complete dominance responses of the F₁ hybrids of the cross combinations of Early Tongil/HP736-3-3 and wx 126-12-13/HP 736-3-3, Early Tongil/Jinheung, and Jinheung/HP 736-3-3, respectively were not affected by the exogenous GA₃ in their total culm length. The first internode from the top was adversely affected in all the tested cultivars and their F, hybrids in length. 3rd and 4th internodes were elongated remarkably except in HP 736-3-3 in which 3rd internode was reduced and 5th and 6th ones were elongated. These elongated 5th and 6th internodes appeared as recessive in F₁ and GA₃ application did not show any adverse effect. Four different rice varieties and their F₁ hybrids were treated with gibberellic acid (GA₃) at 10 ppm and 50 ppm as the foliar application around panicle initiation stage. Observations were taken on plant height every 48 hours after GA₃ treatment up to 14 days. Culm length and internode length were measured at harvesting time. The results obtained were summarized as follows ; 1. All the tested rice varieties and their F₁ hybrids showed the immediate effect of GA₃ up to 14 days with maximum effect from 4 to 10 days after GA₃ treatment. The exogenous GA₃ did not affect the natural trend of growth within the effective period. 2. The apparant additive, over dominance and complete dominance gene responses of the F₁ hybrids of the cross combinations of Early Tongil/HP 736-3-3 and wxl26-12-13/HP 736-3-3, Early Tongil/Jinheung and wx126-12-13/Jinheung and Jinheung / HP 736-3-3 respectively were not affected by the exogenous GA₃ in their total culm length. 3. In all of the F₁ hybrids as well as parents, the first internode from the top has been reduced by the GA₃ treatment in length, and the lower 3rd and 4th internodes were elongated remarkably except in HP 736-3-3 in which 3rd internode was reduced, and 5th and 6th ones were elongated. 4. The 5th and 6th elongated internodes appeared as recessive genetically in F₁and the GA₃ application did not show any adverse effect on this.
