      • Wireless Powered Asynchronous Backscatter Networks With Sporadic Short Packets: Performance Analysis and Optimization

        <P>In the fifth generation era, the pervasive applications of Internet of Things and massive machine-type communications have initiated increasing research interests on the backscatter wireless powered communication (B-WPC) technique due to its ultrahigh energy efficiency and low cost. The ubiquitous B-WPC network is characterized by nodes with dynamic spatial positions and sporadic short packets, of which the performance has not been fully investigated. In this paper, we give a comprehensive analysis of a multiantenna B-WPC network with sporadic short packets under a stochastic geometry framework. By exploiting a time-space Poisson point process model, the behavior of the network is well captured in a decentralized and asynchronous transmission way. We then analyze the energy and information outage performance in the energy harvest and backscatter modulation phases of the backscatter network, respectively. The optimal transmission slot length and division are obtained by maximizing the network-wide spatial throughput. Moreover, we find an interesting result that there exists the optimal tradeoff between the durations of the energy harvest and backscatter modulation phases for spatial throughput maximization. Numerical results are demonstrated to verify our analytical findings and show that this tradeoff region gets shrunk when the outage constraints become more stringent.</P>

        Sodium selenite-induced activation of DAPK promotes autophagy in human Leukemia HL60 cells

        Autophagy has been suggested as a possible mechanism for non-apoptotic death despite evidence from many species that autophagy represents a survival strategy of cells under stress. From our previous findings that supranutritional doses of sodium selenite induced apoptosis in human leukemia cells, now we show autophagic cell death occurred after selenite exposure in HL60, suggested an alternative mechanism for the potential therapeutic properties of selenite. Additionally, Death-associated Protein Kinase (DAPK) performed a significantly increased expression during this process, concomitantly with gradually decreased phosphorylation at Ser308. We further reveal that the up-regulation of DAPK which depends on selenite-activated ERK had no effect on autophagy. However, activation of DAPK via PP2A-mediated dephosphorylation at Ser308 serves as a new strategy for autophagy induction. In conclusion, these results indicate that PP2A-mediated activated DAPK sensitizes HL60 cells to selenite, ultimately triggers autophagic cell death pathway to commit cell demise.       • NOMA in Downlink SDMA With Limited Feedback: Performance Analysis and Optimization

        <P>In this paper, the performance of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is investigated and optimized in a downlink space division multiple access network with a multi-antenna base station and randomly deployed users, under a general channel state information (CSI) limited feedback framework. We first propose a dynamic user scheduling and grouping strategy by leveraging limited feedback. Based on that, an analytical framework is proposed to obtain the outage probability of the network in closed form. The diversity order and the impacts of the number of feedback bits on the outage performance of NOMA are analyzed. Furthermore, the net throughput, which captures the network-wide throughput with the uplink feedback cost considered, is maximized by optimizing the number of feedback bits. Numerical results are demonstrated to verify our analytical findings and show that different from the perfect CSI case, there always exists a performance floor of outage probability in the considered network due to limited feedback. Moreover, the optimal number of feedback bits for net throughput maximization increases as the channel coherence time becomes longer.</P>

        Highly Efficient Shoot Regeneration from Cotyledonary Nodes of Vegetable Soybean

        풋콩(Glycine max (L.) Merrill) 6개 품종의 자엽절 절편체로부터 thidiazuron(TDZ)과 NAA 농도를 달리한 배지에서 신초의 효율적인 재분화를 조사한 후, 가장 효과가 좋은 생장조절물질 조합으로 배지 종류, 접종방법 및 품종별 신초 재분화율을 조사하였다. 또한 절편체를 배지에 수직 또는 수평으로 치상하는 방법과 B5, 1/2 B5, MS, 1/2 MS, MSB(MS salts + B5 organics) 등의 5가지 기본 배지에 관하여 시험하였다. B5 배지에 1㎎?L<SUP>-1</SUP> TDZ, 0.05㎎?L<SUP>-1</SUP> NAA, 5㎎?L<SUP>-1</SUP> AgNO₃를 첨가한 처리에서 6개 품종의 신초 재분화율이 55.3-88.9%로 높았다. ‘L?ling No. 1’의 경우 수직으로 치상하는 것이 수평으로 치상하는 것보다 신초 재분화율이 37.5% 더 높았다. 따라서 풋콩은 TDZ를 처리한 B5 배지에 자엽절을 수직으로 치상할 때 신초 재분화율이 높았다. To establish a highly efficient system for shoot regeneration in vegetable soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill), explants were obtained from six genotypes and adventitious shoots were regenerated from cotyledonary nodes cultured on medium supplemented with different concentrations of N-phenyl-N′-1, 2, 3-thiadiazol-5-ylurea (thidiazuron TDZ) and 1-naphthylacetic acid (NAA). The most effective combination of plant growth regulators was selected first and then the effects of medium types, inoculation methods and genotypic differences on shoot regeneration were studied. The explants were inserted either vertically or horizontally into the medium and five basal media, including B5, ½ B5, MS, ½ MS, and MSB (MS salts and B5 organics), were tested. The shoot regeneration frequency of the six genotypes ranged from 53.5% to 88.9% and three of them reached 88.9%, 87.5% and 83.3%, respectively, on B5 medium supplemented with 1 ㎎?L<SUP>-1</SUP> TDZ, 0.05 ㎎?L<SUP>-1</SUP> NAA, and 5 ㎎?L<SUP>-1</SUP> AgNO₃. The shoot regeneration frequency of explants cultured on B5 medium was significantly higher than that of the other four basal media. The vertically inserted explants were found to yield a higher shoot regeneration frequency than that of horizontally inserted ones; the maximum difference of regenerating percentages between the two methods was 37.5%. In summary, TDZ was an efficient plant growth regulator for shoot induction. B5 medium and vertically inserted explants promoted shoot regeneration. We believe this highly efficient shoot regeneration system will provide foundation for the further transgenic studies in vegetable soybean.

        RANET: A Grasp Generative Residual Attention Network for Robotic Grasping Detection

        This paper presents a novel grasp generative residual attention network (RANET) for generating antipodal robotic grasp from multi-modal images with the pixel-wise method. To strengthen the generalization ability of unknown objects, this paper proposed a new structure that differs from the previous grasp generative network in that it additionally integrates a coordinate attention mechanism and a symmetrical skip connection, respectively. Using the coordinate attention module to emphasize meaningful information of the feature map and the symmetrical skip connection to remain more fine-grained details of feature. Moreover, a multi atrous convolution module is included in the structure to capture more high-level information, while a hypercolumn feature fusion method is incorporated for getting the best from the complementation of different layers’ features. Through evaluation on public datasets, the result demonstrates that we achieve 98.9% accuracy on the Cornell dataset which is the state-of-the-art performance with real-time speed(∼ 17 ms), meanwhile, we represent a 93.9% accuracy performance on the Jacquard dataset.

      • Immunomodulatory effects of Pseudostellaria heterophylla peptide on spleen lymphocytes via a Ca2+/CaN/NFATc1/IFN-γ pathway

        <P><I>Pseudostellaria heterophylla</I> has been becoming a popular research topic because of its functionally active components. The immunomodulatory activity of <I>P. heterophylla</I> peptide (PPH) derived from protein hydrolysate and the molecular mechanism underlying its immunomodulatory effect were investigated in this study. Immunomodulatory PPH achieved the highest stimulation index of 1.53 at a concentration of 100 μg mL<SUP>−1</SUP> for 48 h in spleen lymphocytes and promoted the secretions of tumor necrosis factor-α, interferon-γ, and interleukin-10. Moreover, PPH could elevate the intracellular Ca<SUP>2+</SUP> concentration, calcineurin activity and nuclear factor of activated T cell (NFAT) c1 mRNA expression. Meanwhile these effects could be diminished by the treatment of verapamil and cyclosporin A, suggesting that PPH may activate spleen lymphocytes <I>via</I> the Ca<SUP>2+</SUP>/CaN/NFATc1/IFN-γ signaling pathway. These findings demonstrate that the <I>P. heterophylla</I> peptide has the potential to be utilized as a nutraceutical supplement to strengthen the immune system in the human body.</P>

        近年来中国田径在世界大赛中的成绩突飞猛进。剖析近年来中国田径成绩飞速增长的主要原因,整理并研究其训练方法和训练理念,对服务青少年运动日常训练,助推基层青少年田径训练的新路径意义重大。本文通过查阅文献资料逻辑分析等方法,对中国田径取得成绩进行了经验总结,以求为青少年训练获得启示。研究表明:国家队运动员训练目的很明确,注重技术训练、节奏训练;准备活动在训练中占比很大,跟基层训练有着较大的差距,注重训练的细节化;有先进的训练理念,并且不断尝试创新训练。 In recent years, China s track and field achievements in the world championships have made rapid progress. It is of great significance to analyze the main reasons for the rapid growth of China s track and field achievements in recent years, and to sort out and study the training methods and training ideas, so as to serve the daily training of youth sports and boost the new path of track and field training of grassroots youth. This paper summarizes the experience of China s track and field achievements through logical analysis of literature, in order to get enlightenment for youth training. The research shows that: the national team athletes have a very clear training purpose, pay attention to technical training, rhythm training; Preparation activities in the training accounted for a large proportion, with the grassroots training has a large gap, pay attention to the training of the details; Have advanced training concept, and constantly try innovative training.

      • Microstructure and Magnetic Properties of Sn added MnBi Bulk Magnets

        Rare-earth free permanent magnets are current emerging issues of industry for the growing market demands. Among the rare-earth free permanent magnets, MnBi has attracted attention for large magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant (K₁ ≈ 1.6 MJ/m³, at 300 K) and unique positive temperature coefficient of coercivity (Hc). The low-temperature phase (LTP) of MnBi exhibits a saturation magnetization (Ms) of 80 emu/g, and the theoretical maximum energy product (BH)max 17.7 MGOe at room temperature. However, it is a challenge to fabricate MnBi bulk magnets while maintaining the superior magnetic properties of the powder, especially to prevent the reduction of Hc from powder to bulk. The effects of Sn adding on the microstructure and magnetic properties of MnBi bulk magnets have been systematically investigated. As kwon, the pure MnBi bulk magnets are challenging to reach high Hc in previous studies, and a few reference works have been reported about research on fabrication of high Hc MnBi bulks by adding the third element. It was found that the Sn-added MnBi bulk magnets show the increased Hc and the improved squareness, apparently related to restructuring the intergranular phase due to Sn element addition. The Hc of MnBi bulk magnet with 3 wt.% Sn reaches 11.6 kOe, which is 35 % higher than that of the pure MnBi magnet. In the sample of 1 wt.% Sn added MnBi bulk magnet, the Hc was elevated to 10.0 kOe, and the maximum energy product (BH)max was recorded of 7.84 MGOe at room temperature. This makes Sn added MnBi bulk magnet a promising candidate for next-generation rare-earth-free bulk magnets. 〈그림 본문참조〉
