        유자차 부산물을 이용한 유자 과편의 최적화 연구

        This study was performed to develop a standardized recipe for yuza pyun made of citron juice that is by-product of citron tea, to increase the utilization of citron. The effects of mungbean starch(15%, 18%) and dilution ratio of yuza extract(100%, 75%, 50%) on the quality characteristics were evaluated. The quality characteristics of the samples were estimated in terms of sweetness, color difference, texture profile analysis and sensory evaluation. Sweetness of the 18% mungbean groups were higher than 15% groups(p<0.001). The values of Hunter color system indicated that higher content of yuza extract tended to increase yellowness significantly(p<0.001). Texture profiles of hardness, adhesiveness, springiness, cohesiveness, gumminess of yuzapyun showed no significant differences among samples. For sensory evaluation, color and sourness were decreased as yuza extract was diluted, whereas elasticity and sweetness were increased. Yuza pyun containing 18% of mungbean starch with 50% diluted extract was the most preferred in overall acceptability. According to multiple regression analysis, color, sweetness, elasticity and sourness(in order) were important control factors in overall acceptability.

        KFL learners’ acquisition of Korean locative particles : A corpus-based contrastive interlanguage analysis

Volume 17. 23-46. Adopting the contrastive interlanguage analysis methodology, this study investigates KFL (Korean as a Foreign Language) learners’ acquisition of Korean locative case particles. A learner corpus compiled from eighty-seven intermediate learners of Korean was compared with a native speaker corpus on the frequency distribution of the five semantic categories of the Korean locative case (i.e, static location, dynamic location, time, goal, and source). In addition, learner errors on the use of locative case particles were quantified and examined according to the five semantic categories. The results of this study showed that KFL learners’ use of locative case particles substantially deviated from native speakers’ usage in frequency. Learners’ inaccurate and limited use of locative case particles were attributed to such factors as L1 transfer, overgeneralization, prior input, and interlanguage development.

      • An MSO-based Analysis of English Gapping

        이 논문은 다중문자화(Multiple Spell-out)가설과 최근 최소주의(cf. Chomsky 1998, 1999)의 기본 개념을 도입하여, 영어 통사현상중 하나인 공백화(Gapping) 현상을 일관된 통합 설명이 가능하도록 그 이론적 분석방안을 제시하고자 한다. 첫째, 다중문자화 가설을 수용함으로써 강약자질의 개념이 통사적 운용에서 제거될 수 있음을 보인다. 지금까지의 이론에서 문자화 이전의 가시적 이동(Overt Movement)의 동기가 되었던 강자질의 개념이 더 이상 필요 없음이 다중문자화를 가정함으로써 증명된다. 기존에 설명되었던 통사적 운용상의 이동이 대상인 요소들을 이제 Chomsky (1998, 1999)에서 제시된 일치, 병합, 이동이라는 개념으로 설명한다. 둘째, 다중문자화를 공백화 구문의 분석에 도입함으로써 다른 논문에서 분석된 것과 달리 영어의 공백화 구문이 선행절과의 일치에 의한 음성부문에서의 동사구 삭제 (VP Deletion)현상으로 설명됨을 밝히고자 한다. 이는 영어의 동사구 생략현상 (VP Ellipsis)과 통합된 설명이 될 수 있으므로 더욱 그 설명적 타당성이 있음을 증명한다고 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 공백화 구문의 문법성과 비문법성을 설명할 수 있는 통합적 분석을 위해 삭제조건(Deletion Condition)을 제안한다. 이 조건은 모든 생략요소들은 음성부문의 한 국면(phase)에서 하나의 성분을 이루어야 한다는 원칙이다. 이 조건을 제시함으로써 다중문자화 및 최근의 최소주의 이론의 틀 안에서 예외적 격부여(ECM)구문 및 여격구문 등의 다양한 절에서의 공백화 현상의 분석이 가능함을 보이고자 한다. 이러한 분석은 결국 생략현상의 하나인 공백화현상도 음성부문의 삭제과정으로 일관되게 설명됨을 뒷받침하는 것이라 할 수 있다.

      • Evaluation of AgHAP-containing polyurethane foam dressing for wound healing: synthesis, characterization, in vitro and in vivo studies

        <P>Silver-containing dressings have been widely used to control wound infection. In this study, we developed various amounts of silver-hydroxyapatite (AgHAP)-containing polyurethane foams (PUFs) (AgHAP-PUFs), and their biological properties including biocompatibility, antibacterial activities, and <I>in vivo</I> wound healing properties were evaluated in the Sprague-Dawley rat model. From electron microscopy imaging, it was found that AgHAP particles are uniformly dispersed inside PUFs. The release of Ag from PUFs was dependent on both time and concentration, <I>i.e.</I>, the amount of released Ag was significantly higher with increasing immersion time and Ag content in the PUFs. From the cytotoxicity test, AgHAP-PUFs exhibited high antibacterial efficacy against four pathogenic bacteria, and they were not cytotoxic against L-929 fibroblast cells. AgHAP-PUF treated groups exhibited scar-free wound healing by promoting re-epithelialization and collagen deposition in the infected excision wound model. Overall, it is evident that AgHAP-PUFs may be considered as a good antibacterial wound dressing for infected wounds due to their good antibacterial activity, biocompatibility, and wound healing rate.</P>

      • Epistasis between polymorphisms in ACVR2B and ADAMTS19 is associated with premature ovarian failure

        OBJECTIVE: This study investigated whether epistasis between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within ACVR2B (activin A receptor, type IIB) and ADAMTS19 (ADAM metallopeptidase with thrombospondin type 1 motif, 19) genes is associated with premature ovarian failure (POF). METHODS: One hundred twenty women with POF and 152 controls were recruited for stage I, and 1,641 additional female controls participated in stage II. GoldenGate assay with VeraCode technology was used for genotyping ACVR2B and ADAMTS19 SNPs in stage I. In stage II, we obtained genotype data for SNPs using Affymetrix Genome-Wide Human SNP array 5.0 and imputed data using IMPUTE program from the Korean Genome Epidemiology Study. RESULTS: In stage I, five combinations showed significant synergistic interactions after Bonferroni correction. One SNP (rs1468077 within 5&vprime; flanking region) and two intronic SNPs (rs2268753 and rs2268757) in ACVR2B and three intronic SNPs within ADAMTS19 (rs13158524, rs1476083, and rs1972624) were involved in synergistic interactions in a recessive manner. In stage II and combined analyses, we could not find any significant interactions between the SNPs. However, diplotypes within ACVR2B and ADAMTS19 that consist of risk genotypes or alleles in the results of significant synergistic interactions between SNPs showed significant interactions after Bonferroni correction. Thirteen and nine significant synergistic interactions were found in a dominant model in stage II and combined analyses, respectively (strongest association in combined analysis: odds ratio, 5.93; 95% CI, 2.47-14.20; P = 6.65 × 10). CONCLUSIONS: Epistasis between polymorphisms within ACVR2B and ADAMTS19 is significantly associated with susceptibility to POF.

        The Reaction of 4,4′-Dihydroxydiphenyl Methane with Glycidyl Methacrylate

        전자선경화성 prepolymer를 합성하기 위해서 4,4'-Dihydroxydiphenyl methane (4,4'-DPM) 과 메타크릴산 글리시딜 (GMA)과의 반응을 염화벤질 트리에틸 암모늄(TEBAC)을 촉매로 하여 진행시키고 그 반응 메카니즘을 고찰하였다. 반응은 3차 속도식 진행시키고 그 반응 메카니즘을 고찰하였다. 반응은 3차 속도식 (equation omitted) 에 해당하였고 활성화 에너지는 33.4kca1/mole 이었다. 그러나 혼합물을 상온에서 24시간 방치한 후의 반응은 빠른 속도로 진행되었다. 촉매효과 및 2,2'-DPM 과 4,4'-DPH의 GMA에 대한 반응성을 비교 검토하였다. 얻어진 데이타를 기초로 하여 가능한 반응기구를 제시하였다. The reaction of 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenl methane (4,4'-DPM) with glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) catalyzed by triethylbenzyl ammonium chloride (TEBAC) has been studied for the purpose of synthesis of electron beam curable prepolymer. The reaction was in good agreement with third-order kinetics. according to -d[GMA]/dt=k[TEBAC][DPM][GMA] and the apparent activation energy was about 33.4kca1/mole. However, the reaction rates were increased if tile reaction proceeded after the mixtures exposed to air for 24 hrs at room temperature. The effects of the catalyst and the difference in the reactivity between 2.2'-DPM to GMA were discussed. The plausible reaction mechanism was proposed on basis of experimental data obtained.

        Effects of Collagen Tripeptide Supplement on Photoaging and Epidermal Skin Barrier in UVB-exposed Hairless Mice

        Collagen tripeptide (CTP) is a functional food material with several biological effects such as improving dry skin and wound and bone fracture healing. This study focused on the anti-photoaging effects of CTP on a hairless mouse model. To evaluate the effects of CTP on UVB-induced skin wrinkle formation in vivo, the hairless mice were exposed to UVB radiation with oral administration of CTP for 14 weeks. Compared with the untreated UVB control group, mice treated with CTP showed significantly reduced wrinkle formation, skin thickening, and transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Skin hydration and hydroxyproline were increased in the CTP-treated group. Moreover, oral administration of CTP prevented UVB-induced MMP-3 and -13 activities as well as MMP-2 and -9 expressions. Oral administration of CTP increased skin elasticity and decreased abnormal elastic fiber formation. Erythema was also decreased in the CTP-treated group. Taken together, these results strongly suggest that CTP has potential as an anti-photoaging agent.
