      • Ficin의 酵素化學的性質에 관한 硏究

        One of ficin, isolated from Fig latex, was conducted to investigate some chemical properties of enzyme. The results are as follows; 1. The activity of crude ficin was 2.3 unit/mg and milk clotting activity was 8.33x10-²unit/mg 2. The hydrolytic activity to substrate was 6.8%, which is thought to be of low value. 3. While activities of enzyme after adding 10?? Mcysteine and those concentration of 2-mercaptoe thanol were high. 10-³M-Na₂S₄O?? was the strongest inhibitor among others. 4. The value of enzyme activity was the highest when the concentration of casein solution was 3%.

      • 동적 치아접촉순간의 교합안정성의 평가와 저작근활성의 상호작용에 관한 연구

        최적의 교합상태에 관한 선학들의 주장에 의할 것 같으면 하악이 교두간위로 교합되는 순간에 견치와 구치부의 가능한 한 많은 치아들이 대칭적이고 동시적인 치아접촉을 이룰 때 저작계의 모든 구성요소들이 상호 원만한 작용을 나타낼 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 치아나 악관절에 대한 과도한 부하를 방지할 수 있다고 하였다. 그러나 최근까지도 치아접촉에 대한 시간적 평가에 관한 연구는 희소하였으며, 더욱이 치아접촉이 일어나는 순간에 있어서의 동적인 교합상태를 분석하는 것은 매우 어려운 일 중에 하나였다. 저자들은 최근에 개발된 T-Scan system을 이용하여 치아접촉이 일어나는 동적인 교합순간에 치아접촉점의 위치와 시간을 측정하였으며, 이로부터 치아접촉점의 좌우균등성, 전후방 분포, 치아접촉점 사이의 평균시간간격 등을 평가하였다. 또한 이러한 치아접촉점의 기록과 동시에 Bioeletric processor EM2와 K6-Diagnostic system을 함께 사용하여 교근과 전측두근의 근전도를 기록한 후 각각에 대한 근활성 비대칭지수(Asymmetry index)를 계산하였다. 이상의 실험을 28명의 측두하악장애환자와 22명의 대조군을 상대로 실시하였으며 그 결과를 상호 비교하여 다음과 같은 결론은 얻었다. 1. 측두하악장애환자에 있어서 치아접촉점의 좌우균등성은 감소되어 있었으며 치아접촉점 사이의 평균시간간격도 연장되어 있었다. 2. 치아접촉점의 전후방 분포에 있어서는 측두하악장애환자와 대조군 사이에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 3. 초기치아접촉에서의 교합안정성은 측두하악장애환자와 대조군 사이에서 유의한 차이가 없었지만, 전체적인 교합안정성과의 관계에 있어서는 높은 상관관계를 보여주었다. 4. 측두하악장애환자에 있어서 전측두근의 근활성 비대칭지수가 대조군에 비해 높게 나타났지만, 교근의 근활성 비대칭치수는 유의한 차이를 보여주지 않았다.

      • MPDS 患者의 臨床的 樣相

        The author has studied on the clinical features and symptomatology of 97 MPDS patients, who visited the Dept. of Dentistry, Kyungpook National University Hospital, from January to September in 1982. The results were as follow: In age and sex distribution of patients in this population, the third decades appeared to have the highest prevalence and the male to female ratio was almost 1 to 2.23. As to occupation, students and housewives were revealed to have the highest incidence of MPDS. The chief complaints of patients were pains, TMJ noises, and limitation of mouth opening in order of frequency, and the most prevalent site of symptom was that of preauricular area. In symptom sequence, the majority of initial symptoms were TMJ noise and pain but limitation of mandibular movement was progressively developed, regardless of nature of early symptoms. Chronic unfavorable oral habits were found to be the most possible predisposing factors in this study. The average maximum interincisal distance was 38.13 ± 10.00 mm in males and 30.73 ± 8.75 mm in females, and a deviation of mandible during mouth opening was observed in 60.8% of patients. In TMJ signs, tenderness of the TMJ to palpation was found in 60.8% of patients and TMJ noise was audible in 50.5% of patients with a stethoscope. The muscles of masticatory system were palpated according to usual methods, and a significant incidence of muscular tenderness was present, with the lateral pterygoid muscles being most frequently involved, followed by masseter, medial pterygoid and temporalis muscles.

      • 하악의 위치 변화가 기도저항에 미치는 영향

        This study evaluated whether substantial airflow resistence changes occurred by changing jaw position in normal and snoring subjects. A case-control design was utilized to assess group differences. Subjects included 11 snoring patients and 10 non-snoring subjects. Airway resistance was assessed using a whole body plethysmograph. Subjects in this study had their mouth opening standardized to a position of 7 mm of vertical separation and the resistance was measured under the following conditions: normal jaw position and 2/3 maximum protrusive jaw position. The results were as follows: 1. The airway resistance was higher in snoring group than in non-snoring group. 2. Both groups had a significant decrease in their airflow resistance was jaw position. In conclusion, these data document that airflow resistance can be significantly influenced by jaw positioning. Moving the jaw in a protrusive position produced reduction of resistance.

      • 農村現場實習에 關한 意見調査分析

        The Survey was conducted to find the present situation and to recommend the effective ways at the Work Experience Progran in the Colleges of Agriculture. A series of responses for the researcher developed questionnaires were obtained from the 370 students and 77 experience program supervisors and farmers. Another interviws were made with the administrators or professors in the 24 agricultural colleges for abtaining the informations, ideas and recommendations. According to this research, we found that we could imporve the Work Experience program strenuously but not now. Most experience program supervisors and the farmers suggested the most effective way to improve the program as follows ① Students should be motivated for active participation.② Work Experience Program must be fitted to their profession and Department. ③ It should be conducted under the scrutinized and careful plan. ④ Evaluation of the program should be improved and supervision of the place supervisors and farmers should be encouraged.

        The present epidemiological study was designed to examine the prevalence of chronic musculoskeletal pain among musical instrument players according to type of instrument played. 300 instrumental musicians and 159 non-musicians were included in this study for an experimental group and a control group respectively. The experimental group was divided into 4 subgroups according to their major instrument played; Group Ⅰ for brasswind instruments, including trumpet, trombone, cornet, French horn, and tuba; Group Ⅱ for woodwind instruments, including clarinet, oboe, and bassoon; Group Ⅲ for violin and viola; Group Ⅳ for other instruments. After completing questionnaire about health problems, they frequently suffer from location of chronic musculoskeletal pain, and physical or emotional symptoms and feel just before or during performance, each subject was examined for verification of subjective symptoms. The results obtained were as follows ; 1. The prevalence of chronic musculoskeletal pain was 93.0% in violin-viola group, 89.8% in woodwind group, 68.0% in brasswind group, and 59.2% in non-musician group. Comparing to non-musician group, the statistical significance was found in violin-viola group and woodwind group (P<0.05). 2. The first 4 prevalent sites of chronic musculoskeletal pain were shoulder-finger-chest-arm in brasswind group, shoulder-finger-wrist-upper back in woodwind group, shoulder-upper back-wrist-arm and neck in violin-viola group, and shoulder-neck-upper back-leg in non-musician group. 3. The prevalence of chronic musculoskeletal pain is likely to be higher as the length of time as an instrument player increases.

The most prevalent symptom of temporomandibular disorders in instrumental musicians was TMJ noise, of which prevalence was 51% in violin-viola group, 47% in woodwind group, 46% in brasswind group, and 25% in non-musician group. There was statistical significance between each one of musician groups and non-musician group respectively(P<0.05).

        The Work Experience Program of the College of Agriculture became effective in 1972, and the Program has been exercised for four years so far. The summaries and results of the analysis on the program exercised are given in Chapter two. The followings are the points indicated the items to be more emphasized at each stage of the program; the factor expanding the gains resulting from the program, the items to recommend to all colleges for better achievement of the program in the future. Some comments for improvement are mentioned in chapter three. They are classified into two, one for colleges and the other for the ministry of education. The comments made in chapter three are 20 in number, which describe the conclusions of this research paper.

        수도권 매립지 주변의 지표수 오염에 관한 연구

        In order to analyze the water quality variation of surface water around the Sudokwon landfill site, seasonal variations of water temperature, pH, DO, BOD, COD, SS, NH_3-N. NO_2-N, and NO_3-N were examined at 10 sites from January to December, 1996. It was found that the estimates of COD, DO, SS, and NH_3-N were increased compared with the results of environmental impact assessment carried out in 1988. Higher estimates of COD, DO, and SS were due to industrial and agricultural wastewater, and the increase of NH_3-N at Jangdo reservoir site was due to the leachate from the landfill. In particular, the estimate of SS was found to be increased by the soil wash from the landfill during the heavy rainy days.

        An experimental study of methanol autothermal reformation as a method of producing hydrogen for transportation applications

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>This study investigates autothermal reforming (ATR) of methanol as a method of producing fuel cell-grade hydrogen for transportation applications. From the previous works in autothermal reformation, it is known that while the steam-to-carbon ratio (S/C) may somewhat affect the efficiency of ATR, the oxygen-to-methanol ratio (O<SUB>2</SUB>/CH<SUB>3</SUB>OH) is a more significant parameter in ATR of higher hydrocarbons. Methanol differs from higher hydrocarbons in that it is reformed at relatively low temperatures and, therefore, may respond to O<SUB>2</SUB>/CH<SUB>3</SUB>OH differently from higher hydrocarbons. According to the past studies, the optimum O<SUB>2</SUB>/CH<SUB>3</SUB>OH for ATR of methanol is equal to 0.23. However, this conclusion is based on models which utilize assumptions that are not necessarily accurate, such as complete fuel conversion and ideal reaction products. This study presents experimental data that shows how the ATR reactor efficiency varies with O<SUB>2</SUB>/CH<SUB>3</SUB>OH. The results from this study may serve as a baseline for future research of autothermal reforming of hydrocarbon fuels as a method of producing hydrogen in transportation applications.</P>
