This paper proposes a feedback control law for navigating mobile agents to form a desired shape consisting of their positions. The objective is to achieve the formation without assuming the agents to start from a sufficiently small neighborhood of the desired shape. The global setting allows one to address reflections and partial reflections of agent positions. Target shapes are defined by excluding reflections and partial reflections which are often undesirable in practice. For agents represented by single-integrator models, this paper demonstrates how targets in a standard control based on their relative position measurements can be switched to generate feedback control input preventing reflected positions with reasonable routing. The effectiveness of the proposed mechanism is studied through numerical simulations.
Polymer structure and properties in micro- and nanomolding process

Injection molding of thin-wall parts with micro/nano-scale patterns using various polymers was performed to clarify the processability and surface replication of molded parts. Effects of process conditions on processability, higher-order structure and surface properties of molded parts were evaluated. The optical anisotropy in the vicinity of the gate became higher than at any other positions. The height replication ratio of surface patterns increased with increasing injection speed, holding pressure, injection temperature and mold temperature. In the case of nanomolding, negative birefringence toward the flow direction appeared higher than at the skin–shear region from the observation of skin–shear and core structure inside molded parts. Thus, the molecular orientation axis was oriented along the thickness direction because of deformation during the demolding process. Thermal stability of nano-surface patterns was influenced by the size of surface features and internal higher-order structure.

<P>Highly twisted π-conjugated molecules have been attractive but challenging targets. We report here an efficient synthesis of highly twisted diporphyrins with 126° and 136° twist angles that involves an oxidative fusion reaction of planar aminoporphyrin precursors at room temperature. Repeated amination–oxidative fusion sequences provide a unidirectionally twisted tetramer. Background: Poly (adenosine diphosphate)-ribose polymerase (PARP) inhibitors for tumors with homologous recombination deficiency (HRD), including pathogenic mutationsin , have been developed. Genomic analysis revealed that about 20% of uterine leiomyosarcoma (uLMS) have HRD, including 7.5%–10% of alterations and 4%–6% of carcinomas of the uterine corpus, and 2.5%–4% of the uterine cervix have alterations of. Preclinical and clinical case reports suggest that PARP inhibitors may be effective against those targets. The Japanese Gynecologic Oncology Group (JGOG) is now planning to conduct a new investigator-initiated clinical trial, JGOG2052. Methods: JGOG2052 is a single-arm, open-label, multi-center, phase 2 clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of niraparib monotherapy for a recurrent or persistent rare fraction of gynecologic malignancies with mutations except for ovarian cancers. We will independently consider the effect of niraparib for uLMS or other gynecologic malignancies with mutations (cohort A, C) and HRD positive uLMS without mutations (cohort B). Participants must have 1–3 lines of previous chemotherapy and at least one measurable lesion according to RECIST (v.1.1). Niraparib will be orally administered once a day until lesion exacerbation or unacceptable adverse events occur. Efficacy will be evaluated by imaging through an additional computed tomography scan every 8 weeks. Safety will be measured weekly in cycle 1 and every 4 weeks after cycle 2 by blood tests and physical examinations. The sample size is 16–20 in each of cohort A and B, and 31 in cohort C. Primary endpoint is the objective response rate.

This is the fifth report on the research project which compared the older version of the TOEIC?? test with the new one. Through an examination of the ability measures based on the Rasch analysis, it is confirmed that there is a relatively high degree of parallelism between the two versions of the TOEIC?? in terms of examinees’ placement. A close examination of the exceptional measures revealed that 6.6% of the total 136 test takersmight have been misplaced due to personal factors such as lack of test time and lack of interest in answering questions. However, it is still too early to conclude that the observed differences are due to either test format or personal factors, or both.
