Differential Subordinations and Superordinations of Certain Meromorphic Functions associated with an Integral Operator

DARWISH, HANAN ELSAYED,LASHIN, ABD AL-MONEM YOUSOF,SOILEH, SOLIMAN MOHAMMED Department of Mathematics 2015 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.55 No.3

Differential subordinations and superordinations results are obtained for certain meromorphic functions in the punctured unit disk which are associated with an integral operator. These results are obtained by investigating appropriate classes of a dmissible functions. Sandwich-type results are also obtained.

On Certain Subclasses of Starlike p-valent Functions

Darwish, Hanan Elsayed,Lashin, Abd-el Monem Yousof,Soileh, Soliman Mohammed Department of Mathematics 2016 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.56 No.3

The object of the present paper is to investigate the starlikeness of the class of functions $f(z)=z^p+{\sum\limits_{k=n}^{\infty}}a_p+k^{z^{p^{+k}}} (p,n{\in}{\mathbb{N}}=\{1,2,{\ldots}\})$ which are analytic and p-valent in the unit disc U and satisfy the condition $\|(1-{\lambda}({\frac{f(z)}{z^p}})^{\alpha}+{\lambda}{\frac{zf^{\prime}(z)}{pf(z)}}({\frac{f(z)}{z^p}})^{\alpha}-1\|$ < ${\mu}$ (0 < ${\mu}{\leq}1$, ${\lambda}{\geq}0$, ${\alpha}$ > 0, $z{\in}U$). The starlikeness of certain integral operator are also discussed. The results obtained generalize the related works of some authors and some other new results are also obtained.

On A Subclass of Harmonic Multivalent Functions Defined by a Certain Linear Operator

Darwish, Hanan Elsayed,Lashin, Abdel Moneim Yousof,Sowileh, Suliman Mohammed Department of Mathematics 2019 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.59 No.4

In this paper, we introduce and study a new subclass of p-valent harmonic functions defined by modified operator and obtain the basic properties such as coefficient characterization, distortion properties, extreme points, convolution properties, convex combination and also we apply integral operator for this class.

      • Treatment Outcomes of Epithelial Ovarian Cancers Following Maximum Cytoreduction and Adjuvant Paclitaxel-Carboplatin Chemotherapy: Egyptian NCI Experience

Nassar, Hanan Ramadan,Zeeneldin, Ahmed A,Helal, Amany Mohamed,Ismail, Yahia Mahmoud,Elsayed, Abeer Mohamed,Elbassuiony, Mohamed A,Moneer, Manar M Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.16

Background: Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is the commonest malignancy involving the ovaries. Maximum surgical cytoreduction (MCR) followed by adjuvant taxane-platinum chemotherapy are the standard of care treatments. Aims: To study treatment outcomes of EOC patients that were maximally cyto-reduced and received adjuvant paclitaxel-carboplatin (PC) chemotherapy. Materials and Methods: This retrospective cohort study included 174 patients with EOC treated at the Egyptian National Cancer Institute between 2006 and 2010. For inclusion, they should have had undergone MCR with no-gross residual followed by adjuvant PC chemotherapy. MCR was total abdominal hysterectomy/bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy [TAH/BSO] or unilateral salpingo-oophorectomy [USO] plus comprehensive staging. Results: The median age was 50 years. Most patients were married (97.1%), had offspring (92.5%), were postmenopausal (53.4%), presented with abdominal/pelvic pain and swelling (93.7%), had tumors involving both ovaries (45.4%) without extra-ovarian extension i.e. stage I (55.2%) of serous histology (79.9%) and grade II (87.4%). TAH/BSO was performed in 97.7% of cases. A total of 1,014 PC chemotherapy cycles were administered and were generally tolerable with 93.7% completing 6 cycles. Alopecia and numbness were the commonest adverse events. The median follow up period was 42 months. The 2-year rates for disease free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) were 70.7% and 94.8%, respectively. The respective 5-year rates were 52.6% and 81.3%. Advanced stage and high-grade were significantly associated with poor DFS and OS (p<0.001). Age >65 years was associated with poor OS (p =0.008). Using Cox-regression, stage was independent predictor of poor DFS and OS. Age was an independent predictor of poor OS.

Reduced Fertility and Fecundity among Patients with Bipolar I Disorder and Schizophrenia in Egypt

        Hader Mansour,Kareem Kandil,Warda Fathi,Mai Elassy,Ibtihal Ibrahim,Hala Salah,Amal Yassin,Hanan Elsayed,Salwa Tobar,Hala El-Boraie,Ahmed Eissa,Mohamed Elhadidy,Nahed E. Ibrahim,Wafaa El-Bahaei,Vishwaj 대한신경정신의학회 2011 PSYCHIATRY INVESTIGATION Vol.8 No.3

Objective To evaluate reproduction among patients with bipolar I disorder (BP1) or schizophrenia (SZ) in Egypt. Methods BP1 patients (n=113) were compared with community based, demographically balanced controls (n=124) and SZ patients (n=79, DSM-IV). All participants were evaluated using structured interviews and corroborative data were obtained from relatives. Standard indices of procreation were included in multivariate analyses that incorporated key demographic variables. Results Control individuals were significantly more likely to have children than BP1 or SZ patients (controls 46.8%, BP1 15.9%, SZ 17.7%), but the BP1-SZ differences were non-significant. The average number of children for BP1 patients (0.37±0.9) and SZ patients (0.38±0.9) was significantly lower than for controls (1.04±1.48) (BP1 vs controls, p<0.001; SZ vs controls, p<0.001). The frequency of marriages among BP1 patients was nominally higher than the SZ group, but was significantly lower than controls (BP1: 31.9% SZ: 27.8% control: 57.3%). Even among married individuals, BP1 (but not SZ) patients were childless more often than controls (p=0.001). The marital fertility, i.e., the average number of children among patients with conjugal relationships for controls (1.8±1.57) was significantly higher than BP1 patients (1.14±1.31, p=0.02), but not significantly different from SZ patients (1.36±1.32, p=0.2). Conclusion Selected reproductive measures are significantly and substantially reduced among Egyptian BP1 patients. The reproductive indices are similar among BP1 and SZ patients, suggesting a role for general illness related variables. Regardless of the cause/s, the impairment constitutes important, under-investigated disability.
