        Recently, there has been enormous damage due to river floodings caused by localized heavy rains. The direct discharge triggered by those torrential rains inflicts severe property damage on the residents of nearby areas. To minimize the possibility of river floodings in case of heavy rains and to predict the possible damage, the management of existing rainfall and water level observatories should be checked and prediction methods based on the characteristics of water usage and floodgate of nearby rivers must be further analyzed. Therefore, this research analyzed the water level change predictions on different spots with a regression equation of rainfall and water levels, using the observation data of the water level observatory in Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon Province and the rainfall observatory which are located on the upper region of the Han river.

        Enalapril 에 의한 기침 발생율

        N/A Background: Enalapril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor that has been widely used in treating hypertension, congestive heart failure, DM and various renal diseases. Cough has been recognized as a side effect of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors. Therefore we studied the incidence and the chracteritics of Enalapril induced cough in Korea. Method: The sixty eight patients with Enalapril who visited out-patients department of internal medicine, Han-Il General Hospital during the period from april 1992 to october 1992 were included in this study. In all patients careful history taking and review of chart was done. Patients with respiratory disease were excluded. The criteria of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor induced cough was that cough developed after administration of Enalapril and improved after discontinuing drug and readministration of drug induce resume of symptom. Resnlts: Subjects include 34 males, 34 females and their average age was 53.3 years, Diseases of theirs were hypertension (57 cases}, congestive heart failure (5 eases), various renal disease (28 cases) and 9 patients of them were smokers. Average drug dosage was 11.7 mg a day and average administration duration was 182 days. Of the 68 patients, 23 patients (33.8%) had chronic cough due to enalapril, which had 12 male and 11 female patients. The cough disappearing time after withdrawal of the angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors was average 7.8 days. In 16 patients (two thirds of them), cough disappeared within 4 days after drug withdrawal. 9 patients had to stop taking drug because of severe cough. Generally the characters of cough induced by angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors were dry, persistent, tickling and tended to develope especially at night, Conclusion: Cough is not uncommon side effect in angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor users. There fore clinician should consider angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor induced cough initially when cough developed after angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor administration.

      • CFRP와 콘크리트 계면에서의 부착특성

        Externally bonding technique of CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Plate) is widely used in strengthening of concrete structures, and the improving effect of flexural strength and stiffness has been proven by early researchers. But, strengthened concrete structures present brittle failure mode accompanied with debonding of CFRP. That is, it means that the behavior of concrete structures strengthened with CFRP is mainly dependent on mechanical characteristics of CFRP and concrete interface. Therefore, double-lap shear test was performed to examine the bond characteristics on interface. The experimental variables are included with the strength of concrete, bond length and width. Test results showed that effective bond length of CFRP is approximately 30cm and maximum interfacial shear stress at specimen failure is 47 kgf/㎠.

      • 유전알고리즘을 이용한 철근콘크리트 보의 최적설계

        This paper describes the application of genetic algorithm for the optimum design of reinforced concrete beam. The cost of reinforced concrete beam as an objective function which includes the costs of concrete, formwork, tensile steel reinforcement and shear reinforcement is minimized. The flexural and shear strength, deflection, upper-lower bounds on steel reinforcement and beam width-depth ratio are considered as the constraints. For the check of the serviceability, deflection is calculated under the service loading by the effective moment of inertia instead of the gross moment of inertia. Optimum results obtained from GA are compared to verify the validity of GA with other literature. Then, GA is applied to 3 span RC beam based on standard specifications.

      • Pulp Sludge를 이용한 이온교환체의 제조

        The synthesis of Zeolite and Tobermorite though hydrothermal reaction of heat treated pulp sludge with NaOH, SiO₂and CaO were added to the pulp sludge ash as complement to make Ca/Si ratio to be 0∼1.6 and 2Na/Si, 0.6∼1.6. After 5 day's hydrothermal reaction of the mixture at 120℃, the compound was cooled at room temperature and filtered or centrifugalized. Then leansed with pure water and dried. By grinding the dried compound, ion exchange powder was prepared. X-ray diffraction of the powder showed that P-Type Zeolite was synthesized where Ca/Si ratio was in 0.15∼0.5 at the 2Na/Si ration of 0.67∼1.0, and Tobermorite was chiefly synhtesized where Ca/Si ratio was 0.75∼0.97 at the 2 Na/Si ratio of 0.67∼1.0. The hydrothermal synthesis in the same reaction condition at the temperature of 200℃ showed that Analcime was synthesized where Ca/Si ratio was 0.15 and Na/Si ratio was 1.0. The Tobermorite, hardly including the ash was synthesized where Ca/Si was 0.97, and 2Na/Si was 1.0.

        Full-beads of multi-layer steel engine head gaskets that are used to seal the combustion gas between the head and the block are subject to cyclic bending stresses due to the variation of the head/block gap during engine operation. The L-D curve of the full-bead formed on SUS304 thin plate is important for the sealing capacity assessment. Therefore the experimental method for measuring the L-D curve must be established in gasket company. In this study the rig and the data acquisition system for measuring the L-D curve is suggested. And the experimental results are shown. This results are compared with numerical rsults obtained by using ABAQUS package.

      • 탄소섬유보강판의 홈삽입에 따른 철근콘크리트 보의 보강효과

        This paper presents a feasibility study of an alternative strengthening method by slot-bonded CFRP plates for reinforced concrete beam. A total 14 reinforced concrete beam were constructed, tested and the response of the beams in terms of deflection, strains, failure load and failure mode were examined. Each specimen was initially loaded for 75% of ultimate load, cracked specimen were strengthened with CFRP plate and then tested until complete failure. Test variables included the strengthening method, steel ratio and strengthening length, and the effects according to each test variables are analysed. The experimental results show that proposed methods can increase the flexural strength and stiffness of the beam significantly. Also, the failure of the specimens strengthened by the proposed method are more ductile than externally bonded specimen.

      • 肝吸蟲症에 있어서 血淸 및 濾紙吸着血淸을 이용한 酵素免疫測定法 (ELISA)에 관한 比較硏究

        To observe the usefulness of minute amount of blood obtained by the filter paper technique for serodiagnosis of clonorchiasis sinensis, a study was performed with the subjected cases of 142 egg positive cases and O negative controls by the immunodiagnostic method of ELISA. The absorbance values using the filter paper by ELISA were compared with the absorbance values using sera, and also with the E.P.G.(eggs per gram of feces) and the diameter of wheal size by intradermal test. The antigen used was saline extract of crude Clonorchis sinensis adult worm with the protein concentration of 11.3㎍/ml. The positive threshold of the absorbance value was 0.5 at 488nm. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Comparing the sensitivity and the specificity between the filter paper technique and the method using sera by ELISA, 121 out of 140 egg positive cases were positive(sensitivity, 88.4%) and 69 out of 70 controls were negative(specificity, 98. 6%) when the blood collected on the filter paper were used; and 132 out of 140 egg positive cases were positive (sensitivity, 93.0%) and 67 out of 70 control were negative(specificity, 95.7%) when sera were used. Thus the specificity by the filter paper method was similar to that by the sera although the sensitivity was lower. 2. The relation of the absorbance values between the blood collected on the filter paper (y-axis) and sera(x-axis) made the regression equation: y=0. 473x+0.248, and showed relatively high correlation (r=0. 739, n=210, p<0. 01). 3. The relation of the absorbance values between the blood collected on the filter paper (y-axis) and the number of eggs(Log E.P.G./100) made the regression equation: y=0. 254 x+0.654, and showed some correlation(r=O. 541, n=140, p<0.01). And the mean absorbance values of the four classified groups were increased gradually with the intensity of the infection by E.P.G.: light infection with 1~999 E.P.G., moderate infection with 1,000-9,999 E.P.G., heavy infection with 10,000~.29,999 E.P.G. and very heavy infection with the E.P.G. of 30,000 or over. 4. The relation of the absorbance values between the blood collected on the filter paper (x-axis) and the diameter of the wheal by intradermal test(y-axis) made the regression equation : y=0. 087x+1.169, and showed low correlation (r=o. 192, n=140, p<0.01). 5. The absorbance values of the blood collected on the filter paper and those of sera and the diameter of wheal by intradermal test of the egg positive cases were age-independent. This study showed that the blood collected on the filter Gaper technique was applicable for the diagnosis of clonorchiasis by the method of ELISA.

      • 철근콘크리트 보에 대한 CFRP의 정착길이

        A failure mode in the beam strengthened with a high modulus plate appears as a interface debonding failure or ripping-off failure. This failure mode means that plate is separated from adhesive or concrete before displaying its own ability. Therefore, as a method for controlling a premature failure, it is need to use a general anchorage implement. We conducted bending tests for reinforced concrete beams strengthened with CFRP. The experimental variables were a concrete strength, reinforcement ratio, cover thickness of concrete and length ratio of CFRP for a pure span. A failure load, failure mode, load-deflection curve and strain response at different distances from a cut-off of CFRP and strain distribution curve were measured to determine the bond development length. Also, the bond development length was compared with Nguyen’s model and British Standard specification.

        A CIF Contract is an agreement to sell goods at the an inclusive covering the cost of the goods, insurance and freight, and the duties of a CIF Seller are, first to ship (or procure a shipment of goods in accordance with the contract and, where necessary, to appropriate such goods to the contract; secondly to procure or prepare the propertransport documents; and thirdly to tender these documents to the buyer, or as the buyer directs. So, it has been from time to time been said that a CIF Contract is not a sale of goods but a sale of document. This view is based on the rule that a CIF Seller, who has having shipped, or bought afloat goods in accordance with the contract, fulfils his part of the bargin by tendering to the buyer the proper shipping document; and on the fact the CIF Contract often provide for payment in exchange for the document. In the ordinary case of a CIF Contract, the transport documents are those documents which a seller is required to tender as a condition of obtaining payment. In the absence of any contrary provision in the contract, or a relevant trade usage or custom, a CIF seller is bound to tender three such documents: Bill of Lading (B/L) as traditional marine (or ocean) transport document, Marine Insurance and Commercial Invoice. According to, the foundamental purpose of this study is to survey and to analyze the legal characteristics of the of CIF Contract and seller's obligation to tender these transport documents to the buyer. Especially, The important thing in this study is that the author put the stress on research and analyzes of the various international trade rules that is INCOTERMS, UNCCISG, UCC, RAFTD and other regulations referred to our Civil Law.
