        R.Chultemsuren,이선아 한국몽골학회 2022 몽골학 Vol.- No.70

In the Mongolian peoples, various rites related to the wedding ceremony are handed down abundantly to the people. These wedding customs are in the form of oral literature such as heroic epics such as <Jangar> and myths such as <Mongolian Secret History>, or in the manuscripts <The wedding customs of the central Khalha peoples>, Hurim-yn yorool, 婚禮 祝辭>, <Honjin devter, 헌찡(主禮)의 儀軌>, etc. The traditional method of marriage proposal is handed down by various names and customs among Mongolian ethnic groups, and its detailed contents can be confirmed through various oral literary genres and literature materials, including Mongolian epics of heroes. This paper outlines the naming and customs of bride proposals performed in the folklore of major Mongolian tribes such as the Khalha, Bayad, Buryat, Dorbod, Uzemchin, Chahar, and Ordos of Mongolia. In particular, in Mongolian wedding customs, we focus on ‘honjing’, who plays the role of a matchmaker and officiant, in the form of hymns(magtaal) or congratulatory songs(yorool) exchanged in the form of poetry. paid attention to In the Mongolian bride proposal customs, the figurative image of the bride and groom is an important factor in examining the cultural and literary characteristics of the Mongolian nomads The custom of marriage proposals in Mongolia is a valuable legacy of Mongolian folklore, oral literature, cultural studies, and cultural anthropology, and will become an important research material that should be paid more attention in the future. As such, the discovery and succession of various cultural elements in the wedding culture of each tribe in Mongolia has great significance as a very valuable traditional cultural heritage in reflecting on today’s wedding culture and further developing its spiritual value.

2021 Composites research Vol.34 No.2

This paper dealt with multi-scale natural frequency characteristics of wavy CNT (carbon nanotube) reinforced composites by applying the Mori-Tanaka method, rule of mixture, and Halpin-Tsai equation. By compelling benefit of an ad-hoc Eshelby tensor, the load-transfer characteristics of CNT with a waviness implanted in the polymer matrix was determined. The numerical results obtained are in good agreement with those reported by other investigators. Furthermore, the new results reported in this paper show the interactions between CNT weight, waviness ratios and layup sequences of laminated composites. Key observation points are discussed and significant considerations are given in practical designing of CNT reinforced composites.

Vol.0 No.12

Studying the reflection of general topics, characters, subjects of world literature in Mongolian oral literature is important for understanding and discovering interrelation and mastery of Mongolian literature, unique intellect and tradition of Mongols. For our study we have chosen the snake as a general character of world oral literature, tales and myths. In tales and myths of almost all countries snake symbolizes the earth, river and rain. The custom of worshiping the snake originated in Africa, Asia, America and Australia during the Old Stone Age(Paleolithic Age). In some mythological characters the snake was combined as a part of its head, tail and body, such as giant bird Khangardi and dragon. In Japanese and Indian culture we even can find characters of snakes with horns. In European, Asian, American, Indian and Bolivian myths the snake is depicted as a creator of the world.

Mongolian National Costumes Reflected in the Oral Literature and Popular Rituals

Shin, Kang,Chultemsuren, R. The Korean Society of Costume 2003 International journal of costume and fashion Vol.3 No.-

In the oral literature of the Mongolians such as folk-tales, legend, epics, poetry, songs, riddles etc., there are endless examples describing various stories about the origin of the costumes, ornaments and accessories, or the way how they were designed and changed with the times and how they correspond with relevant customs, public rituals and etiquette in general. In this paper we argue that every piece of the Mongolian national costumes and wear in general has specific meaning and symbolism, which is still the miraculous universe waiting to be unveiled properly. As for the Mongolians, the costumes and accessories mean the treasury of intellectual culture of their own as well as their daily necessities of life. There are still many undiscovered features of ancient national culture, apart from characteristics of various tribes and clans of the Mongolians.

Anti-oxidative, Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitory Activities and Acute Toxicity Study of Nepeta sibirica L.

Gendaram Odontuya,Chultemsuren Yeruult 한국생약학회 2023 Natural Product Sciences Vol.29 No.2

Nepeta sibirica L. or Siberian catmint is a medicinal plant species used in Mongolian traditional medicine for curing human different disorders and veterinary practices. The previous study of the whole plant concentrated on the determination of its essential oil composition and reported that the major ones are sesquiterpenes, including nepetalactone. The aim of this study was to reveal a new biological activity of the above-ground parts of N. sibirica L. and compare the activity of different extracts correlating with the content of biologically active compounds and evaluate their toxicity. For this purpose, anti-oxidative and acetylcho- linesterase inhibitory activities of the above-ground parts of N. sibirica L. aqueous and ethanol (EtOH) (40%, 70%) extracts were assayed spectrophotometrically. The aqueous extract showed positive anti-oxidative activity by both tested DPPH and FRAP assays with IC50 134.24 ± 1.42 mg/mL and FRAP value 1385.15 ± 8.12 mmol/L at 200 mg/mL, in contrast to 40% and 70% EtOH extracts. The 70% EtOH extract presented the highest acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activity (IC50 77.29 ± 0.38 mg/mL) followed by 40% EtOH extract (176.72 ± 0.35 mg/mL) and aqueous extract (275.41 ± 0.23 mg/mL). Total phenolics were found to be gallic acid equivalent, % 3.74 ± 0.05 (70% EtOH), 3.94 ± 0.04 (40% EtOH), and 3.79 ± 0.16 (aqueous), whereas the total flavonoids as a rutin equivalent, % as 2.01 ± 0.12, 1.44 ± 0.17 and 1.99 ± 0.02, each. The aqueous extract showed the best anti-oxidative and lowest activity against the acetylcholinesterase; however, the 70% EtOH extract showed the opposite effects than that of the aqueous. No mortality incidence was visible at various doses, indicating that the oral median lethal dose of aqueous and 70% EtOH extracts were considered greater than 5000 mg/kg. N. sibirica L. belongs to the non-toxic category of the OECD 423 classification.

Vol.12 No.6

The Mori-Tanaka method and multi-scale analysis were used in this study to analyze cracks in concrete beam structures reinforced with wavy carbon nanotube (CNT)-composite rebar. Using the multi-scale method, the variations of elastic modulus and strengths of CNT-reinforced composites were determined by different CNT weight and waviness ratios. Material properties and strengths predicted by the proposed method were verified by comparing with results by previous researchers. The numerical results demonstrate the interactions between CNT weight ratios and waviness. This paper discussed the importance of CNT waviness in analyzing CNT-reinforced composite structures.
