Prediction of compressive strength for HPC mixes containing different blends using ANN

Allam Lingam,J.Karthikeyan 사단법인 한국계산역학회 2014 Computers and Concrete, An International Journal Vol.13 No.5

This paper is aimed at adapting Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) to predict the compressive strength of High Performance Concrete (HPC) containing binary and quaternary blends. The investigations were done on 23 HPC mixes, and specimens were cast and tested after 7, 28 and 56 days curing. The obtained experimental datas of 7, 28 and 56 days are trained using ANN which consists of eight input parameters like cement, metakaolin, blast furnace slag and fly ash, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, superplasticizer and water binder ratio. The corresponding output parameters are 7, 28 and 56 days compressive strengths. The predicted values obtained using ANN show a good correlation between the Experimental data. The performance of the 8-9-3-3 architecture was better than other architectures. It concluded that ANN tool is convenient and time saving for predicting compressive strength at different ages.

      • A Tool for Pair-Wise Alignment Algorithm

Allam Appa Rao KINFORMS 2007 Management Review Vol.2 No.1

Bioinformatics is the application of computational techniques to the management and analysis of biological information. The relationship between a query sequence, commonly termed as probe and o he sequence, known as subject can be quantified and their similarity can be assessed. This similarity can be used to identify the evolutionary relationship between a newly determined sequence and a known gene family. When the degree of similarity is low, the relationship must remain competitive, until eviden e ha be ngath r d. The purpose of this research is to implement various methods for Pair-Wise alignment t chniques and d sign a to l with a good user -interface for aligning two sequences and output the score of the alignment. Thi r sea h u e the va iou pair wis alignment algorithms, like Needleman-Wunsch global alignment, Smith-Waterman algorithm to find the optimum alignment(including gaps) of two sequences. Dynamic programming methods ensure the optimal global alignment by exploring all possible alignments and choosing the best. The user will be p vided a good user-interface for giving the input sequences and opting for the required algorithm. The algorithm uses the BLOSUM50 substitution matrix for computation, and outputs the Functional mat ix(F-mat ix), Optimal Alignment and the score. The total alignment score is calculated as a function of the identity between the aligned residues and the gap penalties incurred. The input sequences can be taken from a file stored on the disk.

      • Magneto-thermo-elastic response of exponentially graded piezoelectric hollow spheres

        Allam, M.N.M.,Tantawy, R.,Zenkour, A.M. Techno-Press 2018 Advances in computational design Vol.3 No.3

This article presents a semi-analytical solution for an exponentially graded piezoelectric hollow sphere. The sphere interacts with electric displacement, elastic deformations, electric potentials, magneto-thermo-elasticity, and hygrothermal influences. The hollow sphere may be standing under both mechanical and electric potentials. Electro-magneto-elastic behavior of magnetic field vector can be described in the hollow sphere. All material, thermal and magnetic properties of hollow sphere are supposed to be graded in radial direction. A semi-analytical technique is improved to deduce all fields in which different boundary conditions for radial stress and electric potential are presented. Numerical examples for radial displacement, radial and hoop stresses, and electric potential are investigated. The influence of many parameters is studied. It is seen that the gradation of all material, thermal and magnetic properties has particular effectiveness in many applications of modern technology.

      • Big data analysis via computer and semi numerical simulations for dynamic responses of complex nanosystems

        Allam, Maalla,Xiaoping, Huang,Hongkai, Zhou Techno-Press 2022 Advances in nano research Vol.13 No.6

In the present research, for the first time, the vibrational as well as buckling characteristics of a three-layered curved nanobeam including a core made of functionally graded (FG) material and two layers of smart material-piezo-magneto-electric-resting on a Winkler Pasternak elastic foundation are examined. The displacement field for the nanobeam is chosen via Timoshenko beam theory. Also, the size dependency is taken into account by using nonlocal strain gradient theory, aka NSGT. Then, by employing Hamilton's principle, energy procedure, the governing equations together with the boundary conditions are achieved. The solution procedure is a numerical solution called generalized differential quadrature method, or GDQM. The accuracy and reliability of the formulation alongside solution method is examined by using other published articles. Lastly, the parameter which can alter and affect the buckling or vocational behavior of the curved nanobeam is investigated in details.

      • Computational modeling for nonlinear magneto-electro-elastic responses of smart multi-phase symmetric system

        Maalla, Allam,Song, Jun Techno-Press 2021 Advances in nano research Vol.11 No.3

This paper investigates impact of thickness stretching phenomenon on the scale-dependent behavior of nano panel in electromagnetic environment in the framework of HOSNDT. Unlike classic theories of shells and plates, the radial displacement is assumed variable along the thickness direction as summation of bending, shear and thickness stretching displacements in which the last term is assumed trigonometrically variable along the thickness direction. Generalized magneto-electro-elastic equations are derived using the virtual work principle. The main novelty of the present paper is application of thickness stretching formulation on the results. The bending results are calculated using analytical method with actuating the nano panel with initial electromagnetic potentials. An extended numerical investigation is presented to examine influence of significant parameters on the static results.

The Relationship Between Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization, Personal Accomplishment, and Job Satisfaction: An Empirical Study in Saudi Arabia

Zafrul ALLAM,Azam MALIK,Shaju GEORGE 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.5

2021-06-09The main aim of this investigation is to explore the relationships between emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment, and job satisfaction among employees working in the banking sector. A total of 214 respondents were surveyed for the purpose of this investigation and selected randomly from different banks located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (K.S.A.). Job Burnout Inventory developed by Maslach and Jackson (1981) was taken into consideration to assess emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and sense of personal accomplishment, and job satisfaction scale was used to measure the degree of satisfaction level of the employees. The collected data were analyzed by means of descriptive and inferential statistics with the help of statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The most eye-catching findings of the investigation revealed that emotional exhaustion had the greater mean as compared to depersonalization and personal accomplishment. The inverse significant correlation has been observed between emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and job satisfaction while positive and significant relationship was observed between personal accomplishment and job satisfaction. Further, the result of the investigation from regression test indicates that the relationship existed between emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment, and job satisfaction among employees working in the banking sector in the Kingdom.

A generalized 4-unknown refined theory for bending and free vibration analysis of laminated composite and sandwich plates and shells

        Othmane Allam,Kada Draiche,Abdelmoumen Anis Bousahla,Fouad Bourada,Abdeldjebbar Tounsi,Kouider Halim Benrahou,S.R. Mahmoud,E.A. Adda Bedia,Abdelouahed Tounsi 사단법인 한국계산역학회 2020 Computers and Concrete, An International Journal Vol.26 No.2

This research is devoted to investigate the bending and free vibration behaviour of laminated composite/sandwich plates and shells, by applying an analytical model based on a generalized and simple refined higher-order shear deformation theory (RHSDT) with four independent unknown variables. The kinematics of the proposed theoretical model is defined by an undetermined integral component and uses the hyperbolic shape function to include the effects of the transverse shear stresses through the plate/shell thickness; hence a shear correction factor is not required. The governing differential equations and associated boundary conditions are derived by employing the principle of virtual work and solved via Navier-type analytical procedure. To verify the validity and applicability of the present refined theory, some numerical results related to displacements, stresses and fundamental frequencies of simply supported laminated composite/sandwich plates and shells are presented and compared with those obtained by other shear deformation models considered in this paper. From the analysis, it can be concluded that the kinematics based on the undetermined integral component is very efficient, and its use leads to reach higher accuracy than conventional models in the study of laminated plates and shells.

Privacy-Preserving NFC-Based Authentication Protocol for Mobile Payment System

( Ali M. Allam ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2023 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.17 No.5

One of the fastest-growing mobile services accessible today is mobile payments. For the safety of this service, the Near Field Communication (NFC) technology is used. However, NFC standard protocol has prioritized transmission rate over authentication feature due to the proximity of communicated devices. Unfortunately, an adversary can exploit this vulnerability with an antenna that can eavesdrop or alter the exchanged messages between NFC-enabled devices. Many researchers have proposed authentication methods for NFC connections to mitigate this challenge. However, the security and privacy of payment transactions remain insufficient. We offer a privacy-preserving, anonymity-based, safe, and efficient authentication protocol to protect users from tracking and replay attacks to guarantee secure transactions. To improve transaction security and, more importantly, to make our protocol lightweight while ensuring privacy, the proposed protocol employs a secure offline session key generation mechanism. Formal security verification is performed to assess the proposed protocol's security strength. When comparing the performance of current protocols, the suggested protocol outperforms the others.
