Achmad Widodo,Bo-Suk Yang(양보석),Soo-Mok Lee(이수목) 한국동력기계공학회 2006 한국동력기계공학회 학술대회 논문집 Vol.- No.-
This paper concerns of establishing the intelligent system for faults detection and classification of induction motor using wavelet support vector machine (W-SVM). Support vector machine (SVM) is well known as an intelligent classifier with strong generalization ability. Application of non-linear SVM using kernel function is widely used for multi-class classification procedure. In this paper, building kernel function using wavelet is introduced and applied for SVM multi-class classifier. Moreover, the feature vectors for training classification routine are obtained from feature extraction and reduction using component analysis via independent component analysis (ICA) and principal component analysis (PCA). Hence, a relatively new intelligent faults detection and classification method called W-SVM is established. This method is used to induction motor for faults detection based on vibration signal. The results show that this method can well classify and separate each condition of faults in induction motor based on experimental work. Finally, it can contribute the intelligent faults detection system in the future.

<P> This study presents an acoustic emission (AE) based fault diagnosis for low speed bearing using multi-class relevance vector machine (RVM). A low speed test rig was developed to simulate the various defects with shaft speeds as low as 10 rpm under several loading conditions. The data was acquired using an AE sensor with the test bearing operating at a constant loading (5 kN) and with a speed range from 20 to 80 rpm. This study is aimed at finding a reliable method/tool for low speed machines fault diagnosis based on AE signal. In the present study, component analysis was performed to extract the bearing feature and to reduce the dimensionality of original data feature. The result shows that multi-class RVM offers a promising approach for fault diagnosis of low speed machines.</P>

Widodo Budiharto,Ari Santoso,Djoko Purwanto,Achmad Jazidie 제어로봇시스템학회 2011 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2011 No.10
The objective of this paper is to propose a method for navigating a vision-based service robot using stereo vision and Kalman Filtering. We have develop modules for face recognition system, visual tracking and multiple moving obstacles avoidance using stereo camera. Someone that walks will be identified as moving obstacle and we propose a method to avoid the multiple moving obstacles. Kalman filtering for distance estimation using stereo camera used for stability of measurement and removing noise from the input images. To overcome the inaccuracies of vision sensor, Bayesian approach is used for estimate the absense and direction of obstacles. Algorithms for moving obstacles avoidance method proposed and experiment results implemented to a service robot also presented. Our system can overcome the drawbacks of popular obstacle avoidance methods because it provides a complete mechanism for a vision-based service robot so that it can avoid the moving obstacles.Various experiments show that our proposed method very fast, and successfully implemented to service robot called Srikandi III in our laboratory.

Energy is one of the important things for the human activity life in all over the world. Due to this reason several methods to maintain the energy source have been conducted by many countries. Fossil fuel as the main energy source for every country now predicted will be ended no more than 40 years. Therefore alternative fuel such as biodiesel has been developed by many countries including Indonesia. Indonesia as the high populated country and has wide area of agriculture, forest and crops field is potentially to be the highest biodiesel producer. However the information about biodiesel research and development activity in Indonesia is limited. Therefore, this paper will discuss about several topics related to the research and development of biodiesel in Indonesia. First part will gives the information about the review of energy source and energy consumption in Indonesia, second part discuss about research and development on biodiesel in Indonesia, and the last part is about current status of utilization biodiesel in Indonesia.

Thermal image investigation has exposed up to date and remote diagnosis of machine condition which is very important part of industry maintenance. By using thermal image, the information of machine condition can be investigated; it is easier than other conventional methods of machine condition monitoring. In the current work, the behavior of thermal image is investigated with different condition of machine. A test-rig that represents the machine in industry was set up to produce thermal image data in experiment. Some significant features have been extracted and selected by means of PCA and ICA and other irrelevant features have been discarded. The aim of this study is to retrieve thermal image by means of selecting proper feature to recognize the fault pattern of the machine. The result shows that classification process of thermal image features by SVM and other classifier can serve for machine fault diagnosis.
