홍창유,장민아,리순화 학습자중심교과교육학회 2023 학습자중심교과교육연구 Vol.23 No.18
Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of hairdressers' hair knowledge level and hair NCS module proficiency on job performance. Methods A survey was conducted among 203 hairdressers. The sub-factors of the hair knowledge level were composed of service knowledge, theoretical knowledge, and technical knowledge, and the sub-factors of hair NCS module proficiency were composed of hygiene business management, practical skills management, and beauty customer management, and the validity of the factors was tested for NCS module proficiency and job performance, and the relationship between the factors was analyzed. Results Practical-oriented education was highly efficient when applied to the field, and the acquisition of theoretical knowledge applicable to the field was insufficient, and NCS education was useful for preparing for the certification exam, and it helped to improve the ability to apply beauty technology, and there was a disadvantage that it could not keep up with the change in trend. Among the hair knowledge levels, the level of service knowledge was high, and theoretical and technical knowledge was perceived as high if they were in their 30s, college education, 3-6 years of experience, and professional hairdressers, and theoretical and technical knowledge were perceived as low if they were high school, less than 1 year of experience, and interns. Hygiene management was the lowest among NCS module proficiency, and those in their 30s, graduate school, 7 years or more of experience, and professional cosmetologists were highly recognized for practical technical management and hygiene career management. In the case of people in their 40s with a lot of cosmetology experience, more than 7 years of experience, and directors, job performance affected job performance in the order of technical knowledge, among which technical knowledge had a positive (+) effect and theoretical knowledge had a negative (-) effect. Conclusions Hair NCS module proficiency and job performance were higher with higher education and experience, and in the hair salon field, technical knowledge had a more positive effect on job performance than theoretical knowledge. Therefore, it will be necessary to supplement the theoretical knowledge required in the field and add educational programs such as technical knowledge and hygiene management to improve job performance.
The Facelift of Singapore Chinatown: Unbalanced Renovation by Radical Western Wave
홍창유 한국지적정보학회 2019 한국지적정보학회지 Vol.21 No.3
This research paper sketches qualitative dialogue regarding a topic of radical renovation caused from the Westernization process in Singapore Chinatown. Singapore's urban policy in preserving its historic districts was implemented in the context of a fast-expanding economy and rapid urban development under westernization and globalization toward developed western countries. However, the authorities did not pay attention to the needs of traditional conservation in Chinatown. Even though Singapore’s Chinatown benefited in part from its modernized and westernized appearance, the stories of the shophouses and Majesty Theatre show that the regional policy has not succeeded in retaining the traditional and historical activities which were reflective of the authentic local community life. After several decades of demolition and rebuilding, there is now a cautious and keen governmental interest in conserving areas of historic-ethnic Singapore. There is nowhere that better represents and manifests the history of Singaporean and Chinese culture than in Singapore’s Chinatown. In particular, the governing authorities have radically redeveloped and globalized Chinatown in Singapore with Western standards based on modernization and globalization. However, the regional history is a society’s memory of its past. Thus, when structures and districts have excellent historic properties, they should be managed and conserved in a proper way. Furthermore, to advocate for the preservation of slums and decrepit shophouse buildings because of romantic sentiments is undoubtedly required for improving their future, and does not constitute an unrealistic and undesirable aim. Buildings and ways of life should be preserved because they have certain benefits to society as a whole.
A Study on Environmental Conflict Resolution Strategy of Jeju
홍창유 한국지적정보학회 2022 한국지적정보학회지 Vol.24 No.3
This study categorizes conflict scenarios using frame analysis to resolve Jeju Island’s environmental conflicts and to advise a path for growth for the Jeju Environmental Dispute Resolution Committee (EDRC), an institutional framework. Environmental conflict establishes a frame for the conflicting parties and forms an antagonistic position with other frames while firmly keeping the frame. Dispute management must be implemented and approached systematically to be effective, as the environment is a complex topic that requires consideration of both conservation and development. It is essential to establish a public arena in which parties involved in disputes can speak with one another and share their perspectives on a situation. Civil conflicts (between private sectors), public-private conflicts, and conflicts between public institutions are the most common types of environmental problems in Jeju. Appropriate means and measures for each conflict situation are required for the rational resolution of environmental disputes, and the Jeju EDRC, which is currently in place, needs to supplement its ability to manage each conflict situation, so suggestions for the future of this study are critical.
