In this study, we have developed the static and dynamic simulation program of a high speed current collection system. The catenary wire is modeled to discrete masses connected by massless strings and the pantograph is replaced with 3 d.o.f equivalent models that are composed of masses, springs and dampers. We derived partial differential equations of motion from the equivalent model and developed the simulation program. Then, we calculated the static equilibrium state of the overhead catenary and the dynamic behaviors of the high speed current collection system. The analysis results were compared with the results of GASENDO software developed at RTRI in Japan.

An understanding of dynamic deformation behavior of materials over a wide range of temperatures and strain rates is necessary for accurately predicting material behavior. One of the reliable test device for testing the dynamic behavior of materials under high strain rate and high temperature is Split Hopkinson Pressure bar(SHPB). In this paper, the temperature dependent behavior of the aluminium alloy 6061-T6 at high strain rate was studied by the SHPB with high frequency induction heating device.

The cylindrical rubber parts for vibration isolation are tested to obtain the hyperelastic and viscoelastic properties by the static and dynamic test, respectively. The static tests are consisted of uniaxial and biaxial tension and pure shear test and Mooney-Rivlin constants are obtained from these test results. Also, the storage and loss modulus are obtained to analyze the viscoelastic characteristics by dynamic mechanical analyzer. From the static and dynamic test data, the mechanical performances of rubber part such as static and dynamic stiffness are predicted with finite element analysis. Also, the dynamic tests of cylindrical rubber part subjected to static load are carried out to measure the support load and the dynamic stiffness. Finally, the predictions of FEA and the results of experiments are compared.
속도 향상을 위한 고속전철 TGV-K 집전시스템의 성능에 관한 연구

Described in this paper are the dynamic model and the dynamic performance of catenary-pantograph system for TGV-K(maximum operating speed of 300㎞/hr). Dynamic simulations showed that the system satisfies the performance criteria such as contact loss ratio, contact force and lift-off of the contact wire. It is also shown by the simulations that the dynamic behavior and contact performance of the system at the operating speed of 350 ㎞/hr are found unacceptable. Design parameters of the catenary-pantograph system should be optimized for the speed-up of the TGV-K.
