The purpose of this study is to assist librarians in developing a bibliographic tool for the bibliotherapy. Bibliotherapy is a form of psychotherapy in which carefully selected reading materials are used to assist a subject in solving personal problems or for other therapeutic purposes. However, bibliotherapy has rarely been either studied or practiced in Korea. For a bibliographic tool which is called ‘situational bibliography’, a client situation has to be classified by the factors of biological, place and personal relations, type of stress or symptoms. This study, in this regard, is examined related recent researches in the field of psychology or psychoanalysis. Main conclusions made in this study are summarized as follows : The most important factors to classify a client situation in a bibliographic tool are sex, age, home background, personal relations and mental health issues. 사회가 복잡해지면서 많은 사람들이 여러 경로를 통해 정신적 상처를 입고 마음의 병을 앓고 있다. 이런 사람들에 대한 도서관적 봉사방법으로 정선된 책을 통한 정신치료가 있는데이것을 독서치료라고 한다. 우리나라에서는 독서치료에 대한 관심이 적어 그다지 많이 연구되지 않았고, 도서관에서의 봉사도 활발하지 않았지만 최근 이것에 대한 관심이 점차 높아지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 독서치료에 대한 도서관 봉사의 가장 기본적 도구인 상황별독서목록을 만들기 위하여 독서치료 대상자의 상황을 분류하기 위한 기준을 마련하였는데 제1차적 기준은 생물학적 특성으로서의 성과 연령이고 2차적 기준은 가정, 학교, 직장 등 공간적 특성, 3차적 기준은 인간관계이다.

Using structured interviews a study was undertaken with 25 high school students in Seoul and Kyonggi Province to elicit their perceptions of teacher-Ibrarian as a profession. The study also sought to gauge the extent of the student's intentions on pursuing a career in librarianship. Responses were content analysed to determine the extent of knowledge and understanding held. intentions on choosing librarianship as a career. Findings suggest the image of teacher-librarian to be poor and that librarianship as a career is far from desirable amongst the teenagers of Seoul and Kyonggi Province.

Cooperative program planning and teaching is a strategy for developing and implementing resource based learning. This approach combines the classroom teacher's subject expertise and knowledge of the students with the teacher-librarian's specialized knowledge of the availability and use of learning materials. And the purpose of cooperative program planning is to develop learning experiences or units of study that effectively integrate the student's resource center activities with other learning experiences. There are also some conditions that are conducive to effective planning sessions. First, the teacher-librarian must be come to them. Second, the teacher-librarian must be prepared to present suggestions in such a way that the teacher can respond. The purpose of this study is (1) to investigate the planning process of cooperative program planning and teaching in the previous studies and (2) to find general problems when the cooperative program planning and teaching apply in actual situation. For these purposes, I chose a school library and a teacher-librarian in Seoul to observe how this cooperative program planning and teaching carry out in the school library. Main findings are summarized as follows: (1) A teacher who teaches alone for one grade is more proper to carry out the cooperative program planning and teaching. Young teachers are usually more active to change their teaching methods. (2) The cooperative program planning and teaching is a program what needs a lot of materials. When there is no right reference book in a school library, it would be good to access DB through PC telecommunication. It is also possile to contact librarians who work in large public libraries or university libraries. (3) The cooperative program planning and teaching needs cooperative working between a teacher-librarian and a teacher. thus a teacher-librarian should be in his school in the day time like the other teachers for the program's planning process. (4) There has to be a guide to change into resource based learning in teaching method. Thus the Korean Library Association or Korean Library and Information Science Society should offer a seminar or a workshop about cooperative program planning and teaching for the teacher-librarians. (5)It needs a system that a teacher-librarian can know about student's assignments so that he can prepare reference books for them. (6) The school library can be able to offer excellent service like cooperative program planning and teaching to the teachers and students according to a teacher-librarian's enthusiasm

우리나라는 좁은 국토와 과밀인구 문제를 해결하고 세계로 뻗어가려는 정책적인 배려로 많은 국민들이 해외로 이민을 가고 있다. 특히 미국은 가장 많은 해외교포들이 살고 있는 곳으로 한국인 2세, 3세 등 교포 1세의 자녀들이 하루가 다르게 늘어가고 있으므로 그들에게 한국인으로서의 의식의 뿌리를 심어주기 위한 교육적 배려가 필요한 때라고 생각한다. 아동문학도서는 한국인으로서의 혈통을 갖고 태어났지만 한국의 역사와 문화, 가치관을 제대로 교육받기 어려운 환경속에서 성장하는 교포 후세들에게 어떠한 가르침보다도 훨씬 강력하고 효과적으로 한국인으로서의 문화의식과 전통, 역사에 대한 깨우침을 줄 수 있는 도구가 될 것이다. 또 그러한 문학도서는 미국을 형성하고 있는 다른 민족의 어린이들도 읽을 수 있는 것으로서 그들에게 한국의 문화와 역사를 알려줄 수 있는 매개체가 되어 한국과 한국인을 이해시킬 수 있는 자료가 된다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제의식에서 출발한 것으로 영어로 된 아동문학도서 속에 나타난 동아시아계 주인공들의 일반적 특성을 조사하는데 그 일차적인 목적이 있고 또한 같은 동아시아 문화권에 속해 있는 중국과 일본, 한국계 미국인들이 아동문학 도서속에서 어떻게 다르게 묘사되고 있으며 그들의 문화와 역사, 전통을 이국에서 어떻게 지키면서 미국에 동화되어 가는지를 비교해 보는데 이차적인 목적이 있다 Multicultural literature serves as a device for mutual understanding of different cultural, racial, and ethnic groups. The purpose of this study is (a) to investigate the general characteristics of bookjacket of children's books in Korea and (b) to observe general directions of the changes of those characteristics. For that purpose, children's books are gathered in alphabetical order of titles which has been published in the past 30 years and classified into three groups: 'books of 1996-1975', 'books of 1976-1985' and 'books of 1986-1993' according to the date of publication of those books. The important elements of the bookjackets belonging to these three groups are analyzed and compared. Main findings and conclusions made in this study are summarised as follows: (1)The style of illustration which has been appeared very often on the bookjacket of children's books is realistic art style. But a new tendency is that cartoon art style is above everything else. (2)The media which has been commonly used for illustration is watercolor. A new tendency is that various media is used for illustration. (3)People have been most commonly used as characters of illustration, and this tendency is continued from the past. (4)Visual representation of characters is usually simplified, and simple outlines is used for objects. The latest tendency is the same. (5)Visual content is arranged within bookjacket illustration as a whole, and this tendency is continued. (6)Lines for special emphasis are commonly used in depicting objects within bookjacket illustration.(7)Realistic color has been most commonly used in depicting objects within bookjacket illustration. But the tendency is turned into unrealistic color. (8)Light grayish and strong as tone have been commonly used for bookjacket. A new tendency is that pale as tone is above everything else. (9)Gothic type has been commonly used for title within bookjacket. A new tendency is that various types are used for titles
