This paper describes the result of structure analysis and load test of torque arm for driving gear unit. The purpose of the analysis and test is to evaluate an safety which torque arm shall be considered fully sufficient rigidity so as to satisfy proper system function under maximum load. Driving gear unit consist of gearbox and torque arm. Both components, torque arm is significant component subjected to the vehicle and motor loads. The evaluation methode is used the FEM analysis, static and fatigue test. The test results have been very safety and stable for design load conditions.

This study is to establish design method and evaluation technology for drive system appropriate to high speed tilting train. The transmission system of high speed train serves in the severe condition compared with those of KHST(G7), namely, they have to transmit high power to run with high speed and they have to make maximum use of the limited space. This paper reports the reviews and results of the design and evaluation method for reduction gearbox of high speed tilting train and discusses various design items and methods about assembly and parts of reduction gearbox.

This paper describes determination of optimal lubricant quantity for driving gear unit. The purpose of selecting optimal lubricant quantity is to evaluate durability of driving gear unit. Lubricant quantity of driving gear unit is important factor affecting durability. The determination methode of lubricant quantity evaluation is used calculation necessary lubricant quantity first, then selection of optimal oil quantity as a base for moving of oil temperature according to changing oil quantity.

Axle Gearbox of the High Speed Train has rotational degree of freedom centered on the Axle Shaft Center Line, and constrained by the Reaction Arm connected to the Bogie Frame via Resilient Ring made of Rubber. This System is laid on the Power Train and can influence on the Power transmitted from Motor to Axle. The stiffeness of the Resilient Ring have to be selected for the Natural Frequency of this System do not overlap with the Teeth-mating Frequency. To confirm the Design Parameters, Calculation and Experiment were executed and compared.
