        마이코플라즈마 폐렴균 감염에 의한 결절성 홍반; 조직병리학적 소견과 병인론의 고찰

        결절성 홍반은 소아에서 가장 흔한 피하지방층의 염증으로 하지의 압통을 동반한 결절을 특징으로 한다. 이 질환은 다양한 원인에 의해 발생되지만 공통된 조직소견을 보여준다. 저자들은 임상적 소견 및혈청학적 방법으로 마이코플라즈마 폐렴균에 의한 결절성 홍반을 진단하였고 조직병리적인 접근을 통해 결절성 홍반의 면역병인에 대해 고찰해 보았다. 조직병리소견은 제 4형 면역반응 염증을 보였으며 이는 다양한 원인에 의한 결절성 홍반의 발생 기전을 이해하는데 도움을 줄 것이다. Erythema nodosum (EN) is a painful skin disease characterized by erythematous tender nodules located predominantly over the extensor aspects of the legs. Various etiological factors, including infection, drug administration, and systemic illness have been implicated as causes of EN. Mycoplasma pneumoniae is one of rare infectious agents to cause EN in children. We report a case of a 7-year-old boy with context of respiratory illness and skin lesions with arthralgia. From stepwise approaches, IgM antibody against M. pneumoniae was positive with titers of 12.18, consistent with respiratory infection of M. pneumoniae and histopathology showed findings of septal and lobular inflammation without vasculitis consistent with EN. In addition, we reviewed the pathogenesis of this disease based on our case and the previous reports.

        연구논문 : 교육과정 개정에 따른 교과서와 교육과정 속의 생명공학과 생물정보학 내용 분석

        이 연구의 목적은 교육과정과 교과서 속에 최신의 생물학 흐름인 생명공학과 생물정보학 내용이 어느 정도 반영되어 있는지를 분석해 보는 것이다. 이를 위해 7차 교육과정, 2007 개정 교육과정, 2009 개정 교육과정 속의 생명공학과 생명정보학내용을 분석하였으며 교육과정에 관련한 교과서 속의 생명공학과 생명정보학 내용을 분석하였다. 그 결과 7차 교육과정에서는 생명공학에 관한 내용은 있었으나 생물정보학에 관한 내용은 없었던 것에비해 2009 개정 교육과정에서는 생명과학 Ⅰ과 고급생명과학에서 이에 관한 내용이 등장하였다. 교과서 분석 결과를 보면 일반계 고등학교 학생들이 배우는 생물Ⅰ, 생물Ⅱ, 생명과학Ⅰ에서는 아직도 생물정보학에 대한 내용제시가 많이 부족하였으며, 과학고등학교 학생들이 배우는 고급생물에서도 전체 내용에 비해 생물정보학에 대한 내용 제시가 부족하였다. The proliferation of bioinformatics in modern biology marks a modern revolution in science that promises to influence science education at all levels. This study analyzed the contents of standards in the 7th and 2007 and 2009 revised high school biology curricula and compared the contents, amount and the presentation styles of bioinformatics with those of biotechnology in biology textbooks. In result, first of all, there are some vague expressions about biotechnology and bioinformatics in the 7th and 2007 revised curriculum. There is a clear expression about biotechnology in ``life scienceⅠ`` and ``advanced biology`` of 2009 revised curriculum. Second, more biotechnology is introduced than bioinformatics in ``science``, ``biologyⅠ``, ``biologyⅡ``, ``life scienceⅠ`` textbooks. Third, in ``biology for high class`` textbook, amount of biotechnology contents in the 2007 revised curriculum didn`t increase. An more effort to introduce bioinformatics to science high school student is needed according to revising curricula.

        경험한 사회문화와 디지털 미디어 환경 차이에 따른 세대별 대학생의 선호색 특성

        The purpose of this study is to identify the difference of color preference of 20’s university students in generations between X, Y, and Z. As the sociocultural experiences and digital media environments according to each generation, it could be different in preference color. Among the preceding studies of color preference by Generation X and Y, PCCS and KS standard colors were studied using measuring tools. A survey was conducted to analyze the preference colors of Generation Z. The results of the comparative analysis of preference colors of university students in Generation X, Y and Z were as follows. First, the color image of the R color started to favor the Y generation due to the popularity of the Red Devils in the 2002World Cup, and the preference for the Z generation has been high. Second, Generation X, Y and Z that are commonly exposed to the digital media environment showed a high preference for Blue and Purple Blue. Third, the level of preference for the color of the gray color has changed depending on the timing of contact with the digital media environment. Fourth, preferences of tone have shown a tendency to decrease preference of vivid tone according to the trend of the ages and increase achromatic colors. Preference of tone from Generation X to Generation Z generally prefer pure and tint tones. There was no significant change in preference of tone for different generations, according to their social cultural experience and when people experience the digital media environment at first. Since the preference color is reflected by social cultural phenomena represented by the times, it is meaningful to understand the changing tastes of consumers and use them in fashion design and marketing in color planning.

        영재 학생들을 위한 과학사-CPS 수업 모형을 활용한 분자생물 영역 수업 프로그램의 개발 및 적용

        This research was aimed to develop and apply the molecular genetics teaching program based on the history of science and creative problem solving model (HS-CPS model) for gifted students. Based on the strategies of creative problem solving and scientific theory development, the HS-CPS teaching program were developed. This program was applied to 8 first and second graders of the special class for invention activity in a high school. Creative problem solving ability in science and the understanding of DNA and gene concept were tested in pre and post of 12 lessons. The results were as follows: First, creative problem solving ability in science was improved meaningfully. Second, HS-CPS teaching program was effective in the understanding of DNA and gene concepts. Third, the students responded positively to the program evaluation questionnaire.

        가와사끼병에서 피부 병변과 관절염의 중증도와 관상동맥질환의 연관성

        목적: 가와사끼병(Kawasaki disease, KD)은 여러 기관을 침범하여 다양한 임상적 징후를 나타낸다. 임상적 징후들의 중증도와 관상동맥병변(coronary artery lesion, CAL)과의 연관성은 잘 알려져 있지않다. 본 연구는 심한 피부병변이나 관절염을 가진 환자군들이 나타내는 임상 양상들과 CAL의 발생 위험도를 평가하고자 하였다. 방법: 면역글로불린을 투여 받은 KD 환아 220명을 대상으로 후향적으로 조사하였다. 심한 피부병변이있는 환자군(52명)과 경하거나 피부 병변이 없는 환자군(168명), 관절염이 있는 환자군(6명)과 관절염이 없는 환자군(124명)간의 임상 양상 및 검사실 소견을 각각 비교하였다. 결과: 전체 환자들의 평균 나이는 2.23±1.87세였고 남아와 여아의 비는 1.5:1 (138/82)이었다. 220명 중에 52명(23.6%)은 CAL을 동반하였고 29명(13.2%)은 비전형적 KD를 보였다. CAL을 동반한 군이 나이가 많고 발열 기간이 길었으며 면역글로불린 치료에 반응하지 않는 비율이 높았다. 심한 피부병변을 가진 환자군은 심한 피부 병변이 없는 환자군보다 평균 나이가 많고(P <0.001), 발열 기간이 길고(P =0.041), CAL 발생율이 높았으며(P =0.033), neutrophil 및 neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio수치가 높았다(P =0.031, P =0.001). 관절염이 있는 환자군은 methylprednisolone 또는 infliximab으로 더 많이 치료를 받게 된 경향이 있었다. 결론: 가와사끼병에서 CAL의 발생 빈도는 심한 피부병변이 있는 군에서 더 높았다. 본 연구는 피부 병변, 경부 림프절병, 관절염과 같은 가와사끼병의 임상적 징후의 중증도가 CAL의 위험도와 연관성이 있을 것이라 제안한다. Purpose: Kawasaki disease (KD) shows a variety of clinical signs of multi-system involvement, including clinical diagnostic criteria. It is unknown that the severity of the clinical signs is associated with the risk of coronary artery lesions (CALs). We wanted to evaluate clinical characteristics and the risk of CALs in the patient groups who had severe skin lesions or those with arthritis. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 220 KD patients who were treated with intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG). We compared clinical and laboratory data between the group with severe skin lesions (n=52) and those with mild or no skin lesions (n=168), and between the group with arthritis (n=6) and those without arthritis (n=214). Results: The mean age of total patients was 2.23±1.87 years of age, and the male-to-female ratio was 1.5:1 (138/82). Among 220 patients, 52 patients had CALs (23.6%), and 29 patients (13.2%) showed incomplete KD. The patients with CALs had a higher mean age, longer total fever duration, and higher rate of IVIG non-responsiveness. The patient group with severe skin lesions showed a higher mean age (P <0.001), more prolonged fever duration (P =0.041), higher frequency of CALs (P =0.033), higher WBC, neutrophil, and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio levels, compared to the patient group without severe skin lesions. The patients with arthritis had a tendency of further treatment with methylprednisolone or infliximab. Conclusions: The frequency of CALs was higher in patient group with severe skin lesions. Our results suggest that the intensity of clinical signs of KD such as skin rash, cervical lymphadenopathy and possibly arthritis may be associated the risk of CALs.

        서울과 부산 · 울산 지역 20대 대학생의 개인적 선호색 특성 차이 비교

        The purpose of this study is to identify the color preference through the difference of color preference of 20’s university students in Seoul and Busan& Ulsan. As the development of the fourth industry accelerates the diversity of products, the design element that can meet the increasing emotional demands of consumers is color. The difference in urban environment colors depending on the region is the difference between the user’s color perception and the preference. Therefore, preference color changes according to local factors and age, so we study the change and difference in color preference of 20’s university students. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 20’s university students majoring in design at Seoul and Busan & Ulsan. First, There is no difference between cities, 22% in Seoul, 26% in Busan & Ulsan, and university students preferred achromatic color. Second, in Seoul, the preference of dark and dark tones(18%)was the highest and bright colors(34%)were the highest in Busan & Ulsan. Third, white, gray, and black achromatic colors tend to be preferred according to the area. In Seoul, the preference of white and light gray is 12%, and that of Busan & Ulsan is 14%. In the 1990s, university students preferred B, PB in order. As of 2017, university students in Seoul and Busan & Ulsan have the highest preference for color R, followed by PB and university students who prefer achromatic color. By checking the color preference of the twenties university students and the color preference difference between Seoul and Busan & Ulsan area, it can help color design for regional color planning or product sale.

      • 비생물학적 영역에서 사용되는 진화 개념에 대한 교사와 학생들의 인식

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences of evolution concepts used in non-biological fields. The high school students and teachers were also asked about how they understand the evolution concepts used in non-biological field through questionnaires and interview. The results are as follows: First, the study shows that both teachers and students regard evolution as changes in the course of process and also as something that takes place through variation and selection. However, the teachers and students think that the non-biological evolution takes place in comparatively shorter time, and it has certain fixed directions. Also, it is thought that evolution is caused by artificial selection and acquired traits are delivered to the next generations. Second, the evolution concepts were mainly used to indicate development or advance. It is also interpreted to evolve by needs step by step towards the intended goal by the whole group. Therefore, if the students are given a lecture that tells them clear differences between biological and non-biological evolution concepts, it will help students understand the concepts of evolution in biology better.
