선재동자 이야기를 활용한 유아과학교육 프로그램 개발 연구

본 연구는 선재동자 이야기를 활용한 유아과학교육 프로그램 개발을 위하여 유아과학교육의 하위내용 선정, 『화엄경』 「입법계품」선지식 선정 및 동화 개작하기 등의 과정을 거쳐 최종적으로 유아과학교육 프로그램을 완성하였다. 또한 본 프로그램은 유아과학교육의 네 가지 하위내용을 중심으로 도입 단계에서는 동화를 활용한 ‘탐색하기’를 계획하였다. 전개 단계에서는 탐구기술을 활용하여 ‘과학적 탐구활동 참여하기’를 실행하였으며, 마무리 단계는 ‘정리하기’로 유아와 과학적 탐구활동에 대한 결과를 회상하기·정리하기·평가하기의 과정을 통해 공유하도록 하였다. 결과적으로 본 연구에서 개발된 선재동자 이야기를 활용한 유아과학교육 프로그램은 과학교육에 대한 접근을 용이하게 하였을 뿐 아니라 후속연구를 통해 본 프로그램의 효과가 검증된다면 현장에서 활용도가 높은 유아과학교육 프로그램이 될 것으로 기대한다. This study develops program of early childhood science education by using the story of Sudhana. First, we selected the sub-contents of early childhood science education. Second, we selected Avataṃsaka Sūtra "Gaṇḍavyūha Sūtra" Kalyanamitra, after the adaptation of fairy tales. Third, we completed the program of early childhood science education using the story of Sudhana. Fourth, we study planned a fairy-tale, utilized ‘browsing’ at the introduction stage and focused on four sub-contents of early childhood science education. Fifth, in the development stage, we executed research skills and we utilized ‘scientific research involvement’. Sixth, the results of the study was shared through the recall, arrangement, and evaluation processes by ‘communication’ in the final stage. The results show that the program of early childhood science education using the story of Sudhana developed in this study facilitated access to science education activities. The effectiveness of the program is also verified through subsequent studies and is expected to be an early childhood science education program that is highly utilized in the field.

지역사회 인물탐구활동이 유아의 역사적 태도 및 시간개념에 미치는 영향

본 연구의 목적은 지역사회 인물탐구활동이 유아의 역사적 태도 및 시간개념에 미치는 효과를 검증하는 데 있다. 경북 K시에 소재한 유치원 만5세반 2개 학급 50명(실험집단 25명, 통제집단 25명)의 유아를 대상으로 하였으며, 본 연구를 위하여 4명의 지역사회 역사인물이 선정되었다. 실험집단에는 4주 동안 총 12회의 역사인물 탐구활동이 실시되었으며, 통제집단은 우리나라를 생활주제로 만 5세 누리과정에 근거한 일반적인 교육활동이 진행되었다. 연구의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 사전 검사와 사후 검사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료들은 독립표본 t검증에 의하여 집단 간의 차이를 비교하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 지역사회 인물탐구활동은 유아의 역사적 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었으며, 둘째, 지역사회 인물탐구활동을 경험한 유아의 시간개념은 실험 집단과 비교 집단 간에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통하여 지역사회 인물탐구활동은 역사적 인물을 소재로 유아에게 우리 고유의 정체성을 찾고 소중함을 알게 하는 기회가 되었을 뿐만 아니라 유아의 역사적 태도 및 시간개념에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 해석하였다. The purpose of this study is to validate the effect of community figure research activity related to social study on the young children"s time concept and historical attitude. The study targeted 50 five-year-old children – 25 children for the experiment group and 25 children for the control group – from two different classes of kindergarten located in K city, Gyeongbuk, and four community historical figures were selected for the study. For the experiment group, a total of 12 community figure research activities related to social study were performed throughout four week period, and as for the control group, common education activity based on Nuri Curriculum centering on life topic of our country for the 5-year-old children was performed. In order to find out the effect of experiment, pre-test and post-test were performed for the children. For the collected data, t-test was performed to compare the difference of two groups. The study results were as following. First, it was found that community figure research activity related to social study gave a positive effect to the children"s historical attitude. Second, the time concept of children, who experienced such community figure research activity was significantly different from that of the control group. The study results suggested that the community figure research activity related to social study did not only provide the children chance to discover their unique identity from historical figure and to know the preciousness of their nation, but also brought a positive effect on the children"s time concept and historical attitude.
