        상급종합병원 간호사의 사전연명의료의향서에 대한 지식, 자신감 및 교육요구도

        Purpose : Nurses’ knowledge regarding advance directives may affect their administration of and confidence towards end of life care. This study aimed to describe the relationships of knowledge, confidence, and learning needs with advance directives among hospital nurses. Method : This cross-sectional study was performed at a tertiary university hospital in Seoul between September 25 and October 14, 2017. Convenience sampling was used to recruit nurses who provided bedside care and had at least 1 year of clinical experience. We used a validated self-report questionnaire. Results : The mean score of knowledge, confidence and learning needs were 5.00±1.73, 29.81±7.52, and 64.54±8.48 respectively. Hospital nurses’ knowledge, confidence and learning needs were significantly different according to age, job position, educational level and perceived advance directives. Knowledge regarding advance directives was significantly associated with confidence (r = .27, p ‹ .001) and learning needs (r = .16, p = .005). Conclusion : Knowledge regarding advance directives was relatively low compared to the findings of previous studies. Therefore, nurses should be knowledgeable and encouraged to initiate advance directives. It is necessary to develop a standardized educational program regarding advance directives based on Korean cultures.

        Purpose The aim of this study was to investigate the Iife quality of the aged in nursing homes to provide fundamental data regarding specific nursing interventions for the promotion of welfare of those who are in need of such services Method : The study subjects were 109 people over 65 years old who were Iiving in nursing homes located in Seoul. The data were collected from November 11 to 30, 2004 by using questionnaires divided into 5 categories ’emotional state’. ’economic Iife’. 'self -esteem', 'physical state and its function' and 'relationship with neighbors’. The collected data were analyzed for frequency. percentage points. t-test. and ANOVA by a statistical tool of SPSS 12.0 program. Results The total average score and the average grade point for the degree of Iife quality were 144.68 and 3.36 respectively. The average grade points of the 5 categories were 3.05 for emotional state. 3.57 for economic life, 3.35 for self-esteem. 3.11 for physical state and its function and 3.70 relationship with neighbors. The quality of life did vary attentively based on the sociological characteristics such as sex, ducation, marital status, current illness, frequency of visits by family members, or personal expenses per month. However, welfare of the subjects, diverged due to age, the former occupation held by those residents before retirement. duration of residency, and the number of offspring of the residents. Conclusion This study demonstrated that the quality of life of the residents in nursing homes is affected by the factors of sex, education, marital status, current illness, and monthly expenses of the residents. Therefore, the welfare of the elderly should be accomplished with accessible resources. For that, specific nursing interventions for the aged are also required to be further studied in the future.

        일 병원 간호사의 임파워먼트, 업무성과 및 직무만족의 관계

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the extent of empowerment, task performance and job satisfaction perceived by hospital nurses and the relationship among those variables. Methods: The sample consisted of 261 nurses from a university affiliated hospital. Data were collected with self-administrated questionnaires including empowerment, performance and job satisfaction and analyzed using mean, standard deviation, ANOVA and Scheffe' test. Results: The mean scores of variables were as follows. Empowerment was 4.6472, task performance was 3.7814, and job satisfaction was 3.1240. The older, more educated and more experienced nurses showed more empowered and higher job performed than the younger, less educated and less experienced nurses. Empowerment had a positive correlation with task performance and job satisfaction. Conclusions: The results imply that hospital should develop the empowerment program for nurses to be more job performed and satisfied.
