폐경후 여성에서 호르몬대치요법이 혈중 지질에 미치는 영향
조여원,홍주영,송유봉 한국지질학회 1996 韓國脂質學會誌 Vol.6 No.2
Estrogen treatment in postmenopausal hormone replacement therapy is known to decrease the incidence of cardiovascular disease. Progestin, however, may reduce or eliminate these beneficial effects of estrogen. This study intends to 1) evaluate the effect of estrogen with or without progestins on lipid profiles in blood of postmenoposal women, and 2) evaluate the nutritional status of postmemoposal women through their dietary assessment. In this retrospective study, 8 women composed the control group, and 24 women received conjugated equine estrogen(premarin, 0.625㎎/day) with or without medroxy progesterone acetate(provera, 5.0㎎ for 13 days or 2.5㎎ for 30 days). As a result, all groups of hormone-treated women increased the triglyceride levels(18.5%) which did not significantly differ between groups. Contrary to most previous studies, only the estrogen group showed a slight decrease in HDL cholesterol, whereas the control group and the estrogen with progesterone group increased in HDL level(9%). This study confirmed the results of other studies showing that estrogen significantly decreases LDL cholesterol level when taken with or without progesteron. T'he average intakes of calories and calcium in postminoposal women were not sufficient for all of the subjects. Intakes of cholesterol, SFA, MUFA, and PUFA did not significantly differ among the four groups. Further studies with more subjects are required to elucidate the effect of hormone replacement therapy on the blood lipid profiles.
