Fire compartmentation is a useful method for prevent from fire spreading in aspect of architectural solution. Many kinds of openings derived from plumbing and duct systems or doors, which has relatively large opening, at fire compartmentation may be a passageway of fire penetrating and spreading. According to the architectural regulations they must install a fire door at gate way on fire compartmentation and a fire shutter at special places where difficult to be a ordinary compartmentation. In this study, the status of the fire safety codes for the fire shutters and fire doors as mainly dealed with recently revised contents of 'Performance Criteria of Fire shutters and Fire doors', Notice No. 2009-274 of Ministry of Land, Transfortation and Maritime Affairs are considered and the improving ways are proposed. The revised main contents are 1) supplementation of performance criteria, 2) establishing a basis of qualification of test body and applicant, 3) individual testing of main elements of fire shutters and fire doors, 4) extension of the validity term of test report.
샌드위치 패널의 화재확대 방지시스템 개발을 위한 실험적 연구

The sandwich panel is commonly used domestically because it’s less costly and easier to handle. But fires have frequently occurred in buildings employing sandwich panels, such as the fires in Eecheon cold storage and in Gwangju Pyungdong industrial zone. Sandwich panels with steel plates on their surface prevent fire water from penetrating to the fire source, which makes it difficult to extinguish a fire in a timely manner. Toxic gas generated from some insulation material leads to serious loss of life and property. This study is intended to develop an extinguishing system for sandwich panels, thereby reducing the fire risk. Fire water and volume were determined in the wake of the study on the structure of a sandwich panel extinguishing system, and improvement and testing of the fire characteristics of the sandwich panel. Based on such study and test, a fire model test was conducted. Consequently, the sandwich panel with extinguishing system was proven to have a reduced fire risk, compared to traditional or fire retardant panels.

The purpose of this study was to enhance the fire resistant performance of glass wool panel throughout the density of glass wool 64 ㎏/㎥, 100㎜ thickness and L-type end cap. The specimen panel was produced with vermiculite that it input the surface of glass wool. And compared L-type end cap shape with ㄷ-type. The specimen was tested to evaluate one hour fire resistant performance. For the measurement of Specimen’s Insulation, we attacked the unexposed side of the specimen to measure the temperature. As a result of fire resistant test for the glass wool panel, the insulation of each case is distributed between 54 minutes and 70 minutes.

현재 국내 건축물은 화재 확산을 방지하기 위하여 규모 및 용도에 따라 방화구획을 설치하여 화재시 피해를 최소화 하고자 건축법에서 성능기준을 규정하고 있다. 그러나 방화구획으로 사용되는 제품 및 구조는 평가기준이 미흡하여 일정시간 이상의 방화구획을 형성할 수 있으나 복사열로 인한 화재확산에 대한 위험성은 평가되고 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 방화문의 비차열 성능기준에 포함되지 않은 복사열에 대하여 방화문의 구조 및 재료별 복사열을 측정하고 복사열에 의한 위험성과 성능기준 추가의 중요성을 제시하고자 한다.
