Euro-6 exhaust gas regulation in order to satisfy most of the vehicles is expected to be equipped with DeNOx catalyst. The vanadium based extrusive-SCR of this paper simplifies the manufacturing process by plasticity after mixing with the wash-coat and substrate. V-based extrusive SCR used in this paper reduced manufacturing process about 5 steps to dramatically reduce the existing 10 step manufacturing process of coating-SCR catalyst, lowering the price, but vanadium(V₂O₃) is near to melting point at 690℃, the catalytic activity of V-based SCR catalyst was dropped due to sintering of active sites. In this paper, hydrothermal aging and compressive strength characteristics of V-based extrusive SCR were investigated.

Recently, in order to meet the stricter emission regulations, the proportion of after-treatments is increasing gradually. The aim of present study is to analyze the physico-chemical mechanism according to hydrothermal aging of 3Pt-2MgO-3ZrO₂-2CeO₂/Al₂O₃ DOC. After H₂PtCl?·6H₂O precusor was impregnated with γ-Al₂O₃, Pt particles were dispersed into 2~3nm small size, because γ-Al₂O₃ have a outstanding the dispersion force as well as the thermal durability. In the case of hydrothermally aged catalyst at 850℃ for 9h(10% H₂O), CeO₂ represented remarkably cohensive trend, the specific surface area of 114m²/g was reduced by 14% compared to Fresh catalyst. In the future, additive catalyst to avoid the agglomeration of CeO₂ will be investigated.

Recently, reduction of CO and THC, as well as the DOC will be used for the regeneration of the DPF. DOC deactivated by repetitive regeneration and the deactivation progresses, depending on the conversion decrease of CO, THC and NO. The metal DOC In this study used washcoat on a metal mesh plate is raised. Deactivated rapidly up to 10 hours of hydrothermal deterioration after 25, 45 hours in the deactivation rate was reduced. Results of the TEM analysis, Pt particle size increased according to the increase of the temperature and time of hydrothermal aging, this reason is due to sintering, migration and agglomeration of Pt particles.

The new diesel injection system was developed for active regeneration DPF using catalyst. The developed diesel injection system is designed for the medium duty commercial vehicles, and can be operated independently to the engine of the vehicles. This injection system consists of a diesel injector that can make fine spray of diesel with or without compressed air, a dosing module that can supply pressurized diesel and air, and an ECU that can control the diesel injector and the dosing module. The performance of the injection system is introduced in this paper. The fuel rate of this system can support the exhaust mass flow of medium duty commercial vehicles. One of the characteristics of this system is that the spray angle is varied corresponding to air/fuel ratio in the chamber of the diesel injector. The diameter of atomized diesel is reasonably small, so that the diesel spray can be mixed with exhaust gas. Based on these performances of this system, now efficient tool for the active regeneration DPF is available, so that soot in the DPF can be removed excellently.
