영상기반의 바이브라이미지 기술을 이용한 자극 검사에 대한 연구

인간의 속임수는 동물과 차원이 다르다 상대방뿐만 아니라 자신도 속일 수 있다. 심리학 용어로 '자기기만'이라고 한다. 일반적으로 거짓말을 할 때는 티가 난다. 말은 어떻게 짜맞춰보더라도 호흡이나 땀, 시선, 표정, 목소리까지 완벽히 통제하는 데는 한계가 있다. 하지만 자신의 거짓말을 스스로 믿는 다면, 비언어적인 표현조차 거짓을 바꿀 수 있다. 호모사이피엔스가 네안데르탈인을 몰아내고 마침내 지구를 차지할 수 있었던 것은 언어인 거짓말의 능력이라고 해도 과언이 아니다. 그래서 인류를 '호모 팔락스'라고 부르기도 한다. 인간의 이러한 거짓말에 대한 발전 못지않게 거짓말탐지에 대한 능력 또한 비약적으로 증대되었다. 20세기 가장 뛰어난 발명품 중의 하나인 폴리그래프 검사기는 진화를 거듭하여 피검사자나 검사자 모두에게 이용하기 편리한 비접촉식으로 검사를 할 수 있는 바이브라이미지 기술이 출현하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 바이브라이미지 기술을 이용한 거짓탐지기법인 영상 계층진술분석기법의 연구개발과정에서 발견된 표준검사인 자극 검사를 소개한다. Human have more complicate and skilled ability for lying even cheat ourself. It is not easy to cheat unconscious things like sweat, eyes, or voice, but if some one cheat own self, he can cheat every of that. Lie is one of the way to spread our gene and our instinct make a lie. Every living organism even bacteria or virus use similar trick to survive. In human body, there are more complicate and profound mechanism for lying like breathe, sweat, eyes, face or voice. We can control some of that and make a fake, but it can't be perfect. Human also called 'Homo Fallax' cause we have a language and skill to lie with it. In present, we can detect lie with polygraph, but it has few weakness. So we try to use Vibraimage technology for resolve it. In this paper, we describe how to use Vibraimage for lie detection and the research history.

동성애자의 거짓말탐지 검사에 대한 소고

검사관의 성공적인 면담은 신뢰할 수 있는 거짓말탐지검사 결과를 이끌어낼 수 있다. 거짓말탐지검사 시 검사관은 다양한 피검사자와 마주하게 된다. 거짓말탐지의 면담과정인 피검사에 대해 검사 전 준비를 철저히 한다면 본 검사는 보다 수월해질 것이다. 한국의 문화는 전통적으로 性에 대해 보수적이었으나 성폭력특별법의 시행과 다양한 문화에 대한 인식으로 점차 변화를 보이고 있다. 동성애에 대한 시각도 개선되고 있지만 편견은 여전히 존재한다. 본 논문은 동성애자에 대한 일반적인 이해와 더불어 실제검사사례를 살펴봄으로써 동성애자에 대한 성공적인 거짓말탐지검사를 제시하고자 한다. A reliable polygraph result comes from the examiner`s successful interview process. During a test, the examiner confronts various interviewees. Thus, the examiner should be well prepared for a pre-test interview to gain some preliminary information which will make the actual test easier. Although Korean culture has traditionally been quite sexually conservative, Koreans are becoming more open due to the enforcement of the Special Act on Sexual Violence and diversification of culture. Along with this social atmosphere, Koreans` views towards homosexuality have gradually been improved, but prejudiced attitudes still remain. This study intends to suggest an effective polygraph examination of homosexual interviewees by providing general understandings of homosexuals and reviewing related cases.

정신생리 반응을 이용한 3D영상 거짓말탐지기 활용 연구

거짓말탐지 검사결과는 다른 어떤 감정보다 엄격하게 적용되고 있음에도 거짓말탐지 검사는 폭넓게 증가하고 있다. 검사의뢰가 증가함에 따라 증거의 신뢰성이 요구되고 있으며, 기존 검사에서 발생하고 있는 장시간 검사와 여러 센서의 신체부착에 따른 불쾌감 등으로 인한 인권침해의 논란이 거론되고 있다. 하지만 현대 과학기술의 발달은 이러한 논란을 해결할 수 있는 대안을 제공하고 있다. 이러한 과학기술의 대표적인 예로 바이브라이미지 기술이 있다. 바이브라이미지는 시각적으로 신뢰성을 확보하고 편리하게 인간의 정서를 판별할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다는점에서기존의 거짓말탐지기와는구분된다. 바이브라이미지는얼굴영상에 나타나는 미세진동 주파수를 측정하여 진술의 신뢰성여부를 판단하기위한 장비이다. 전정-감정 반사(Vestibular Emotional Reflex:VER)와 전정의 시각적인 반사 (Vestibulo-Ocular Reflex:VOR)는 인간 심리 및 감정과 연관되어 있다. 두뇌 전정기관에 의한 머리의 미세움직임(진동)의 방사를 특수영상을 통해 시각화하고 이를 측정․제어․교정하는 알고리즘에 의해 인간의 심리 및 감정상태를 분석하여 진술의 신뢰성을산출하여 제공한다. 바이브라이미지는2002년 러시아 우주항공납품업체인 엘시스(ELSYS) 사에서 개발되어 2006년부터 러시아(경찰, 검찰, 공항), 이스라엘(경찰, 공항), 독일(공항)등에서 보급 운영 중에 있다. 한국에서는 2010년 4월 처음 도입되어 경찰청, 서울지방경찰청, 인천경찰청에서 시범 운영되기 시작했다. 서울지방경찰청에서 기존 폴리그라프로 실제 검사한 120명에 대해 바이브라이미지로 보완측정 검사한 결과 일치율이 82.9%이며 가중치를 고려하면 가능한 일치율이 90.6%이다. 다양한 채널을 보유한 정신생리신호를 이용한 3D 영상 분석기는 기존 폴리그라프를 보완함으로써 대국민 인권옹호와 치안 서비스의 질을 높일 것으로 분석된다. 이후 기존 거짓말탐지기와 연계하여 학계는 물론 경찰청 과학수사센터와 과학워킹그룹(Science Working Group)에서 진행 중인 거짓말탐지의 표준화 작업에도 심층 분석이 요망된다. Enforced is more strictly the intangible evidence of polygraph examining results than any other emotion. Nevertheless, a wide range of polygraph test is increasing. The more investigation request increases, the later schedule delays in reality and so, the confidence of its reliability test is required more and more. There are still not only the uncomfortably long time investigation but also the unpleasant feelings and a dispute on personality injury due to the contact testing, which occurs in the conventional polygraph. The background was the development of modern science to solve this situation. The psychophysiological technology that provides the information and visualizes the bio-signal transformed to 3D image by using a non-contact method secured the confidence to be tested and finally presented to detect the human emotions in a convenient way. This scientific technology is called as VIBRAIMAGE (VI) that is based on Brain-Science and 3D Image Processing Technology. VI technology registers micro-movement (vibration) of human’s head-face and then, it is the testing system to determine the reliability of statement as a lie detector. Vestibular-Emotion Reflex (VER) and Vestibulo-Ocular Reflex(VOR) is linked with emotions and psycho-physilogical human state. The emission of head micro-movement (vibration) by brain vestibular system is visualized by special video processing, and measures, controls, and corrects the relevant algorithm by human psycho-physiological state, and provides to evaluate the reliability of statement VIBRAIAMGE system was developed by ELSYS company in 2002 which was the supplier of cosmonautic co-operation and then, supplied to Russian police station, prosecutory authorities and airport from 2006, Israel police and airport, German airport and so on. In Korea, it was imported on April in 2010 firstly and the psycho-physiological detection of deception (Lie Detection system) has been operated in Korean National Police Agency, Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency. As the result of consistency test against the conventional polygraph which 120 cases were examined by VIBRAIMAGE system as the complementary investigation, the consistency rate is recorded to 82.9% which was tested by VIBRAIMAGE system in Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and it can be improved to 90.6% if we assume the weighted score to the correspondingly processing parameters. Psycho-physiological 3D image processing system that provides a various channels to make up for the weak points of the conventional polygraph is analyzed to increase the service quality for public security and protect the human rights toward the people. Hereafter, it is required to the in-depth analysis for sustaining the standard registration of lie detection system that has been performing at Science Working Group in Science Criminal Investigation team in Korean National Police Agency together with academic circles, to be complementarily co-operated with the conventional polygraph.

진화하는 거짓말 탐지기술 적용과 경찰업무의 역량 제고 방안

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to suggest the utilization of Vibra Image, a high-end device, to improve the reliability and the accuracy of the polygraph which is actively used in the investigation process in spite of the controversies including the theoretical issue. To meet this goal, the database that can show the possible improvement in reliability and the accuracy is needed to be constructed by comparing the performance of the previous polygraph and the non-contact type Vibra Image and by inducing the conformity degree between the devices. Methods: Guiltiness Recognition Test in the simulated internal irregularity investigation case for police cadets is used to compare the performance of the previous polygraph and the non-contact type Vibra Image and to induce the conformity degree between the devices. The simulated case "18 million won cash have been stolen from the office safe" was investigated for 12 weeks at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency by the 6 examining officer trainees, consisting of the roles of 3 examining officers and 3 subjects. Conclusion: All of the examining officer trainees have succeeded in searching out the internal criminals in this simulation. Every result from the result from Vibra Image matched the result from the precious polygraph. Vibra Image can improve the public order service for the subjects by offering the convenience of non-contact type method and by decreasing the time required. Futhermore, it can be used in various cases such as recently increasing need for polygraph, information leakage, dealing with sex offenders, hiring a police officer, regular aptitude test for nuclear plant employees and etc. It is expected that, if the standardization of it can be achieved by gathering the future case studies which could be done in the institutions other than Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, the reliability and the accuracy of the previous. polygraph will be improved.

성범죄사건에 대한 Polygraph검사의 적용과 그 한계

  한국의 대법원에서는 폴리그라프검사 결과의 증거능력에 대하여 일관되게 부정적인 판결을 하였지만 하급심에서는 성폭력사건과 관련하여 실체적 진실을 밝히는 하나의 참고자료로 사용될 수 있다는 판결을 하고 있다. 성폭력사건은 다른 사건에 비해 피검사자들의 정서에 미치는 영향이 지대하므로 검사조건에 충실해야 하며 이를 위해서는 폴리그라프 기본원리에 대한 깊은 이해가 필요하다. 폴리그라프 검사는 사건초기에 사용되는 것이 바람직하고 폴리그라프 검사는 다음과 같은 한계가 있는 것으로 지적되고 있다.<BR>  첫째, 폴리그라프 검사결과의 증거능력을 부정하고 있어 법적인 한계가 있다는 점 둘째, 정신질환자를 검사대상에서 배제한다는 점 셋째, 성범죄자에 대한 폴리그라프 검사의 표준 및 지침이 미비하다는 점 넷째, 폴리그라프 검사의 객관성이나 타당성이 미흡하다는 점 등이다. 따라서 폴리그라프 검사의 이러한 한계를 극복하고 성폭력 사건에 대한 신뢰성있고 객관적인 검사결과를 얻도록 해야 할 것이다.   The Supreme Court ruled that examination of polygraph was not adopted as evidence, but a lower court made a decision that adopted as evidences proved to look into substantial truth in sex-related crimes. As sex-related crimes are much affected to polygraph examinees, examiners are faithful to examination conditioning. It is desirable that use polygraph examination at early-age and it is pointed out that polygraph examination have limitations as follows.<BR>  First, as admissibility of evidence for polygraph examination result is unlawful, there are legal limitations, Second, mentally deranged person is excluded from polygraph examination, Third, there are no standard or guide of polygraph examination for sex-related crime. Fourth, there is insufficient in validity or objectivity of polygraph examination.<BR>  Therefore, with overpassing these limitations of polygraph examination, we will try to acquire credible and objective polygraph examination for sex-related crimes.

切斷端에 Sliding-Pedicle Flap을 利用한 2例

We are very interested in the method of sliding subcutaneous pedicle flap for the covering of circular defect of the skin which was reported by Trevaskis, A.E., et al. (1970). When this procedure is applied to the skin defect of the amputated stump, the stump is to preserve maximum function and to minimize loss of time from work. Because the procedure provides good contour and padding with less. scarring of the Limb, and the most important of all, preserves normal sensation. Here, we give two clinical applications for the covering of the skin defect of the end of the amputated stump; one was toe amputation and the other was chronic ulceration of the end of the short below knee amputation, and good results were obtained such as preserving the length, the function, the sensation and cosmetic furthermore.
