연구노트 : 한국 영일만에서 수산자원 종조성과 계절변동

Coastal marine ecosystem plays important role of spawning and nursery grounds for fisheries resources. Yongil Bay is one of major coastal marine ecosystems, which is located in the southwestern East Sea of Korea. Species composition and abundance of marine organism in the Yongil Bay were investigated by season from March to November 2009. Gill net and pot fisheries were used for survey of pelagic and demersal species composition, and collected 106 species, 67 families, and 7 taxa of fisheries resources from the coastal ecosystem. Species were included 2 species in Ascidiacea, 2 species in Bivalvia, 6 in Cephalopoda, 22 in Crustacea, 5 in Echinodermata, 12 in Gastropoda, and 57 in Pisces. Diversity indices (Shannon index, H`) showed seasonal variation with low value of 2.11 in winter, and high value of 2.63 in autumn. Main dominant species were Asterias amurensis, Pleuronectes yokohamae, Siphonalia spadicea fuscolineata, Trachurus japonicas, Sillago japonica, Conger myriaster, Volutharpa ampullaceal, Engraulis japonicus, Asterina pectinifera, and Portunus (Portunus) sanguinolentus that were occupied over 71.5% of total individuals, and 52.9% of wet weight. Seasonal variations of fisheries resources composition were discussed on correlationships with those of environmental factors in the coastal ecosystem of the Yongil Bay in Korea. Those results from this study will provide scientific data and information to develop the ecosystem-based coastal fisheries assessment and management system in Korea.

XLPE insulated power cables are introduced in Korea in 1980s. The cable installation test has been carried out according to the Korean Technical Reference of Electrical Facilities. But recent research results shows DC Hipot test cannot detect the serious defects in XLPE insulated cables. VLF test is recommended as a installation test of XLPE insulated cables by CENELEC and IEEE standards in 1996 and 2001 respectively. We suggest to apply VLF test as an installation test for XLPE insulated MV cables in Korea.

1980년대 이후 중국의 급성장과 이에 대한 미국의 견제 및 봉쇄 정책과 관련하여 적지 않은 학자들과 언론인들은 ‘새로운 냉전 (A New Cold War)’ 또는 ‘제 2차 냉전 (The Second Cold War)’이 시작되었다는 주장을 펴왔다. 21세기는 중국의 세기 (Chinese Century)가 될 것이라는 전망이 1990년대 초부터 제기되어 왔다. 중국이 1970년대 말 경제 개혁을 실시한 뒤부터 연평균 9.5%의 경제 성장률을 기록해왔는데, 이 성장률이 유지된다면 중국이 2020년 안으로 미국을 제치고 세계 제 1의 경제 대국이 되리라는 것이었다. 중국의 급속한 경제 성장과 군사력 증강에 가장 민감한 반응을 보여온 나라는 미국이다. 미국은 늦어도 1990년대 초부터 중국을 미국의 패권에 도전할 수 있는 “가장 심각한” 국가로 간주하고, 크게 국방 전략 및 대외 관계 분야에서 중국을 견제하거나 봉쇄해온 것이다. 미국의 적극적이고 공세적 견제에 대해 중국은 대체로 소극적이고 수세적 대응을 해오고 있다. 아직은 미국에 정면으로 맞설 때가 아니라 생각하고 1980년대부터 전개해온 이른바 ‘타오꽝양휘 (韜光養晦)’ 전략으로 묵묵하고 착실하게 힘을 기르고 있는 것 같다. Some scholars argue that a New Cold War between the United States and China has already begun, while others argue that the two countries are not in the state of a cold war yet. The World Bank reported in 1992 that China had recorded an average economic growth rate of 9.5% since its economic reforms in the late 1970s. Based upon this report, it was projected that should China maintain the growth rate, its GDP would surpass that of the United States and become the world's largest economy by 2020. The United States hardliners see that China is emerging as a hegemony. They are afraid that in the coming decades China will play an asymmetric back-and-forth game with the United States in the Pacific, taking advantage not only of its vast coastline but also of its rear base stretching far back into Central Asia. Along with this kind of hardliners' contention, 'China threat theory' has spread broadly and rapidly since the 1990s. On the other hand, China is still rather defensive or passive than offensive or aggressive in international relations. Its main aim is still to be to ensure a global environment safe for its internal development, and most developments in its international relationships have been undertaken primarily for their own sake.
XLPE 절연케이블의 열화진단 정확도 향상을 위한 VLF tanδ 판정기준 개선

VLF tanδ diagnosis technology is introduced in IEEE Std 400 and proposed as evaluation criterion in an effective way of detecting water tree which mainly causes the failure of XLPE insulated cables. In order to inspect the accuracy of the VLF tanδ method for XLPE insulated power cables in Korean distribution system, diagnosis for 41 cables which were being serviced in the fields has been carried out and they were removed for AC breakdown voltage test after. Regarding the 41 cables, it was hard to confirm any relation between the VLF tanδ values and AC breakdown voltages and also water tree in the insulation was not detected. However, the other cables were failed several days after the diagnosis of the 41 cables. Water trees were found and their VLF tanδ values were also much higher than the criterion of IEEE standard. It has been ascertained that we need to change the IEEE criteria in order to improve the accuracy of detecting water trees by additional analyzing of field examples of failure and case studies from overseas countries and therefore amended VLF tanδ test voltage and evaluation criteria have been proposed.
자동운전 도시철도차량의 운전특성을 고려한 절연구분장치 이론적 고찰

In this paper, proper length of neutral section and neutral section system configuration is proposed to minimize accidents if ATO urban railway vehicle stops maintaining the leading vehicles in air section at regular intervals. When considering the minimum voltage sensing of power conversion unit in the urban railway vehicle, the effective length of 14,280[mm] with neutral section can be minimized damage due to high current because the urban railway vehicle is very little present chance compare neutral section with pantograph interval installed on a unit vehicle. In addition, uplift of catenary line and contact wire consider to minimize damage. The result of theoretical review, as the proposed neutral section shorter, isolated neutral section is effective than the integrated neutral section.
