A New High-Yielding Mungbean Cultivar, "Samgang" with Lobed Leaflet

A new mungbean variety Samgang (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek) was improved from the cross between Keumseongnogdu and V2939 at the Jeollanam-do Agricultural Research & Extension Services (JARES) in 2002. Samgang has erect growth habit, lobed leaflet, green hypocotyl, straight pod, and shiny angular drum seed. Flowering and maturing date of Samgang is 3 days earlier than the check variety, Seonhwanogdu. Samgang has good characteristics such as light reception with lobed leaflet and synchronized maturity. A thousand seed weight of Samgang was 55g, and sprout yield was up to 17% more than that of Seonhwanogdu. In the regional yield trials carried out for three years from 2000 to 2002, the average yield of Samgang was 1.87 ton per hectare, which was 8% higher than Seonhwanogdu.

할미꽃 신품종 ‘연홍’은 P. davurica와 P. koreana를 종간교잡하여 2003년에 전라남도농업기술원에서 육성되었고 유전적으로 자가불화합성의 특성을 가지고 있다. ‘연홍’의 화색은 진분홍이고 약은 진노랑, 주두는 진분홍, 꽃잎은 6매이며 엽은 녹색이다. 한편 개화특성은 년 2회 개화성이다. 주당 화경은 26.5개, 화경장과 절화장은 각각 58.6 cm와 46.8 cm, 포의 폭은 11.5 cm, 엽장은 34.4 cm이다. 꽃과 포의 절화수명은 A new hybrid variety of pasqueflower, ‘Yeonhong’, was derived from an interspecific cross between Pulsatilla davurica and P. koreana at the Jeollanamdo Agricultural Research and Extension Services (JARES) in Naju, Korea. The original cross was performed in 2001, and the ‘Yeonhong’ hybrid was established in 2003 after two years of selective breeding. ‘Yeonhong’ is characterized by deep pink flowers and is self-incompatible. The inherent characteristics of the variety are deep yellow anthers, a deep pink stigma, six petals, and green leaf color. ‘Yeonhong’ blooms twice a year. The agronomic characteristics of the variety are 26.5 flowers per plant, 58.6 cm in flower height, 46.8 cm in cut flower length, 11.5 cm in bract width, and 34.4 cm in leaf length. Flower characteristics include 8.4 days of longevity for cut flowers and 34 days of longevity for bracts. The new variety is suitable for use as a cut flower.

할미꽃 신품종 ‘겨비’는 전라남도농업기술원에서 2001년에 자생 할미꽃(Pulsatilla koreana) 종자를 화학적 돌연변이를 유발(sodium azide 3 mM/16 hr)하고, 2004년과 2005년에 특성검정을 통해 2005년에 육성되었다. ‘겨비’의 꽃은 적자색이고 약은 진노랑, 주두는 적자색이며 화형은 겹꽃으로 꽃잎이 12매이다. 주당 화경은 6.3개, 화경장과 엽장은 각각 26.4, 14.2 cm이고, 화폭과 포폭은 각각 7.5, 11 A new pasqueflower (Pulsatilla koreana) variety, ‘Gyeobi,’ was derived from a mutation of native P. koreana at the Jeollanamdo Agricultural Research and Extension Services (JARES) in Naju, Korea. The ‘Gyoebi’ was obtained by treating seeds with 3 mM of a chemical mutagen, sodium azide, for 16 hr in 2001. The variety was established in 2005 after two years of selective breeding. ‘Gyeobi’ is characterized by reddish purple flowers with 12 double petals. The inherent characteristics of the variety are deep yellow anthers and reddish purple stigmas. The agronomic characteristics of the variety are 6.3 flowers per plant, 26.4 cm in flower height, 14.2 cm in leaf length, 7.5 cm in flower width, and 11.0 cm in bract width.
日本語の無声破擦音 · 摩擦音を表すハングル表記の知覚的妥当性の検討

일본어 단음절 중의 마찰음([s],[ɕ]) 및 파찰음([ts],[tɕ])의 발음을 가장 적절하게 반영하는 한글 표기를 밝히는 것을 목적으로, 한국어 모어 화자 66명이 발음한 14종류의 한국어단음절를 일본어 모어 화자 33명에게 들려주고 일본어 단음절로 동정하게 하였다. 그 결과, `쓰`, `슈`, `츄` (또는 `쥬`)는 각각 일본어의 `ス`,`"シュ`, `チュ`의 발음을 가장 잘 나타내는 한글 표기인 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 `ツ`의 발음을 나타내는 한글 표기는 발견할 수 없었다. 또한, 한국 국립국어원이 `ツ`의 한글 표기로 고시 중인 `쓰`라는 발음은 일본어 모국어 화자에게 98.76%의 비율로 `ス`로 지각되고 있으며 `ツ`의 한글 표기로는 부적절하다는 점이 드러났다. To find the most appropriate Hangul characters for indicating pronunciations of fricatives ([s] and [ɕ]) and affricates ([ts] and [tɕ]) in a Japanese monosyllable, native Japanese speakers listened to native Korean speakers" pronunciations of the Hangul characters and identified them as one of the Japanese monosyllables with fricatives and affricates. The native Japanese speakers" identification ratio revealed that Hangul character ssseu, syu and chyu (or jyu) were most appropriate for pronouncing Japanese su, shu, and chu, respectively. However, no appropriate Hangul character was found for Japanese tsu, and 98.8% pronunciations of sseu were misperceived as su, not as tsu, by native Japanese speakers. These results, except for shu, do not agree with the public notifications by the National Institute of Korean Language (NIKL) about Hangul characters for Japanese monosyllables.
