In this paper, we studied the customized design for LED berth light of ship cabin based on the user’s behavior pattern analysis and lighting environment investigation. We studied the lighting design target, product design, design simulation, preparation of a prototype with a bidirectional radiation luminaire, and then measured and analyzed the lighting characteristics and lighting atmosphere. Upward lighting provides indirect illumination through the reflection to ceiling of the bed for the rest or sleep activities, whereas downward lighting provides enough illumination to the bed plane for the working or reading activities. In addition, illuminance and correlated color temperature (CCT) control was enabled by adopting warm and cool white LEDs with dimming. The prototype had the enhanced performance with α, δ, θ brain wave effect depending on the user’s behavior pattern and the improved berth lighting atmosphere was closely matched to user’s behavior patterns. The prototype was shown the better lighting performance with high flux, reduced glare and increased lighting efficiency compared to the conventional lighting fixtures.
잠김 금속판(LCP-DF)을 이용한 대퇴골 원위부의 관절외 복합골절 치료시 나사못 배열에 따른 생체역학적 안정성 분석

The locking compression plates-distal femur(LCP-DF) are being widely used for surgical management of the extra-articular complex fractures of the distal femur. They feature locking mechanism between the screws and the screw holes of the plate to provide stronger fixation force with less number of screws than conventional compression bone plate. However, their biomechanical efficacies are not fully understood, especially regarding the number of the screws inserted and their optimal configurations. In this study, we investigated effects of various screw configurations in the shaft and the condylar regions of the femur in relation to structural stability of LCP-DF system. For this purpose, a baseline 3-D finite element (FE) model of the femur was constructed from CT-scan images of a normal healthy male and was validated. The extra-articular complex fracture of the distal femur was made with a 4-cm defect. Surgical reduction with LCP-DF and bone screws were added laterally. To simulate various cases of post-op screw configurations, screws were inserted in the shaft (3~5 screws) and the condylar (4~6 screws) regions. Particular attention was paid at the shaft region where screws were inserted either in clustered or evenly-spaced fashion. Tied-contact conditions were assigned at the bone screws-plate whereas general contact condition was assumed at the interfaces between LCP-DF and bone screws. Axial compressive load of 1,610N(2.3 BW) was applied on the femoral head to reflect joint reaction force. An average of 5% increase in stiffness was found with increase in screw numbers (from 4 to 6) in the condylar region, as compared to negligible increase (less than 1%) at the shaft regardless of the number of screws inserted or its distribution, whether clustered or evenly-spaced. At the condylar region, screw insertion at the holes near the fracture interface and posterior locations contributed greater increase in stiffness (9~13%) than any other locations. Our results suggested that the screw insertion at the condylar region can be more effective than at the shaft during surgical treatment of fracture of the distal femur with LCP-DF. In addition, screw insertion at the holes close to the fracture interface should be accompanied to ensure better fracture healing.

제어가 비교적 간단하여 다양한 분야에서 사용되고 있는 스텝 모터는 일부 제한된 속도 영역을 가지는 특징을 가지고 있다. 저속구간의 경우 마이크로 스텝운전 같은 방법으로 공진영역운전이 가능 하다. 하지만 스텝모터는 직류전원을 사용하기 때문에 고속운전 시 인턱턴스에서 슬루레이트 현상이 발생하게 되어 탈조현상을 발생한다. 스텝모터의 속도에 따른 현상들은 시스템의 불안정한 상태를 만드는 원인이다. 본 논문에서는 폭넓은 속도 영역에서 운전하기 위해서 마이크로스텝의 고속운전방법을 제안한다. 마이크로 스텝 운전방법을 사용하여 저속에서 공진현상을 회피하였다. 또한 고속운전 시에도 빠른 전류교환이 이루어지도록 부스트 컨버터를 내장하여 고속에서도 안정적으로 전류제어가 가능한 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 스텝 모터의 초기 공진영역 운전성능이 향상되었으며, 고속 운전 성능이 향상되었다
공중화장실 복합악취 및 개선에 관한 연구 (대전광역시 동구)

본 연구에서는 대전광역시 동구를 중심으로 공중화장실에 대하여 악취강도를 공기희석관능법과 기기분석을 통하여 공중화장실관리 및 악취저감대책 수립에 기초자료로 제공하고자 하였다. 악취희석배수는 소변기실에서 10~669, 대변기실에서는 31~464까지 다양하게 나타났다. 한편 민원이 발생할 수 있는 악취강도 2.5도 이상의 악취가 발생하는 곳은 6개소(33%)로 조사되었다. 수세식·발효식·재래식처리방식의 대변기실과 설치년도에 따라 악취강도는 차이가 있으나, 화장실 면적은 차이가 없다. 악취원인물질 확인을 위한 6개 공중화장실을 대상으로 기기분석결과 NH₃ 최대농도는 2.04 ppm, 평균농도는 0.67 ppm이며, H₂S, CH₃SH, (CH₃)3N는 검출되지 않았다. 발효식과 재래식공중화장실에는 비누, 방향제, 쓰레기통이 없었다. 화장지는 수세식 화장실의 50%에만 있었다. This study aimed to provide the basic data to establish measures for the management of the public toilets and reduction of the offensive odor through the air dilution olfactory method and instrumental analysis about offensive odor dilution rate of public toilets, focusing on the Dong-gu, Daejeon Metropolitan City, Korea. The offensive odor intensities ranged from 10 degree to 669 degrees in the urinal toilets and from 31 to 464 in closet bowl toilets. Meanwhile, toilets that had offensive odor of more than 2.5, of which a civil complaint can be filed, were researched 6 (33%). Offensive odor intensities were different according to the closet bowl toilets of the flush, fermented and conventional methods and the year of their installation, but not according to the area of the toilets. As a result of the instrumental analysis targeting 6 public toilets to identify the offensive odor substance, the maximal concentration of NH₃ was 2.04 ppm and the average concentration was 0.67 ppm, but H₂S, CH₃SH and (CH₃)3N were not detected. In the fermented and conventional public toilets were not soaps, air fresheners and wastebaskets. Just 50% of the flush toilets had toilet tissue.
