        This thesis is a summary of the researches of 'Han-Balk' philosophy, which has been so far a traditional thought of Korean people. The research of the 'Han-Balk' was initially attempted by Choe Nam-Sun, Shin Chae Ho and others, since 1910s; but its serious study began after the book <Chronicle of Hwandan> was translated in Japan in 1982, and reimported. Since the book was disclosed, more than 30 research books of Tankun were published, and evolved different views one another; The Korean philosophical world had to encounter a period of turmoil. This thesis has classified the bibliographical materials, which have been collected for 30 years since, and reviewed them in various ways as below; 1. It retrospected the root of the present religion and thought, and tried to find out where they originated from. 2. In the light of the system of historical science of World Religions, it rearranged the materials, which have been existing in random and haphazard. 3. As a result, it arrived at a conclusion that the 'Han-Balk' religion can be traced back to B.C. 8,000, and it has been transmitted continuously down through the 'Era of Han', the 'Era of Hwan' and the 'Era of Balk' to the present. Hence, it is recognized that the 'Han-Balk' is an eclectical form of today's monotheistic religion and 'psychosomatic self-culture, which trains body and mind through both a method called 'Dan-Jeon Su-rvon' concentrating whole strenth in the abdomen, and a religious faith believing in the God, 'Hanunim'. In other word, through this study, I become to believe that 'Han-Balk' philosophy is not so much different from the source of the religions of Christian and Buddhist.

      • 四友歌와 李愼儀에 關한 硏究

        This treatise deals with the comment on human about Sin Ui Ri, who was the author of the book which is called Seouk Tan Jip, and four pieces of Sijo(a kind of short lyric poems) which is called Sa Wou Ga (having the meaning of song of four friends) contained in the above Seock Tan Jip, and the comment of the opus on the rest of six pieces of Sijo. Seock Tan Jip and Sa Wou Ga recorded in the book have not been hitherto acquainted with but in june 1973 years I made a discovery of them which were published on 18th of january, 1974 years on Daily News Paper, Choung Ang' with the result of my partial reserch, and their epitome being inserted in the March issue of Si Moun Hack (monthly review of literature and poem), while it is the commencement of cirticism that the chronological personal history is translated with genine style, the full account of a comment on his figure is given, and the writing of criticism is appeared, comparing with O Wou Ga, which means songs of five friends composed by Seon Do Youn. Coming into existence from the close of Koryo Dynasty, Sijo has possessed the hystorical background of seven hundred years as the poems and songs which has up to the present developed in sucession, while the O Wou Ga among them, which Weon Do Youn had composed at the age of 38 years old (AD.1642) has been the most prominent and eulogized to every chanters. By the way we should remind that there existed Sa Wou Ga that was composed 24 years earlier than O Wou Ga done, and this provided the various influences to it, being one fellow of the partner as the exemplary song of proving one's faithfulness into death with the O Wou Ga above stated. I gave the fact a big play, and at the same time I am fully convinced that Sa Wou Ga is not only a treasure in the history of our national literature, but also in the very historical backgraound of national peoples, it has rebeled against the depraved government of the imbecile ruler, being typical of the maintining one's faithfulness into the death that stick to social justice.

        In dieser Abhandlung behauptete ich, daB die Studie uber die Geschichte des Gedankens betrachten soll anders als die bisherige Methode, d.h.das Leben des Volks in der Mitte der Studie stehen soll. Bisherige Geschichte des Gedankens war zufrieden mit der Aneinanderreihung de Geschichte der Philosophie, der Religion, der Sozialidee u.s.w.. Diese Methode ist nicht mehr als die Aneinanderreihung der personlichen Meinung des Philosophen, der privaten Ansicht des Geistlichen, des personlichen Plans des Denkers fur die Sozialreform u.s.w.. Sie stand in keinen direkten Beziehungen mit der Losung, wie die Gruppen, die Volks, die in dem Zeitalter lebten, die Probleme, die in ihrem Alltagsleben unaufhorlich vorlegt wurden, gelost haben. Daβein Volk existiert bedeutet, daβein Gruppe, ein Volk hindurch lange Geschichte gelebt hat, und da daB es lange gelebt hat bedeutet, daB vorlegte Probleme losenden "Lebens" ist, sehe ich es als der Kernpunkt, daB wir die Dankarten und die Losungsweise, wie die Volks hindurch ihre Geschichte die vorlegten Probleme gelost haben, betrachten sollen.

      • 民族 文學史 硏究 : 1910年 前後의 詩歌를 中心으로

        The aim of this study is to reconsider the modern literature which was formed in the colonial age-from 1910 till 1945-and to recover the thoughts and feelings of Korean people in those sorrowful days. Unhappily the history books of Korean modern literature which had already been published failed in introducing sufficiently the literature of the patriots fighting for the Korean independence in defect of materials. Thus the history of the independent movement fighting against the invaders and the great patriotic spirit longing for the independence are missing in the present history books of Korean literature. In order to correct the wrong history of literature, I had collected materials widely. I classified it into three parts, that is, the patriotic literature formed before 1910, the checked literature (by Jopanese) since 1910 and the patriotic literature by patriots developing the independent movement sice 1910. I have tired to clarify that only the patriotic literature disclosed truly the thoughts and feelings of Korean people. In addition, I opposited the assertion the Korean modern literature statrted in 1920s of the colonial age, and I clarified owing to the materials that the complete form of Korean modern literature was poublished before 1910 and that the base of the modern literature was formed. Accordingly the modern literature was formed before losing Korean independence, and then the aesthetic literature was formed by the checked wirters and, the revival literature by the patriotic writers were developed respectively. Since the liberation in 1945 both tides of literature had joined together and the present literature has been formed, introducing the spirit of the patriotic literature and the technique of the checked one. In addition, one more, I presented new materials, in which the beginning of free poems, that of Korean own modern poems, that of prose-poems, that of long-poems, and that of modern dramas, would be found.
