The plastic deformation and stress relaxation behaviour of Pb-Sn alloys have been investigated for four different compositions including eutectic at various temperatures. The data obtained showed that the differences in deformation and relaxation for each composition were attributed to the amount and distribution of phases presented in the specimens. The differences as well as the unique development of microstructures during deformation cycle could be interpreted on the basis of the modified g.b.s. mechanism at the phase boundaries and dynamic recrystallization process upon deformation.

Sheet or plate metal forming processes have been simulated mostly by sheet metal forming simulation technologies, which have a decisive problem in predicting the thickness variation in the neighborhood of comers of metal formed products. In this paper, a plate forging process is simulated using tetrahedral finite elements with emphasis on prediction of thickness variation of deformed comers of the sheet or plate formed products. A three-dimensional rigid-plastic finite element method is employed to show the possibility of application of bulk metal forming simulation technologies to simulating the sheet or plate forming processes.
신연료 DME의 복합화력발전소 적용을 위한 연소성능시험

Recently, DME(Dimethyl Ether, CH3OCH3) has highly attracted attention as an alternative fuel because of its easy transportation and clean characteristics. This study was conducted to verify the combustion performance and to find troubles when DME is fuelled to a gas turbine. Combustion tests were conducted by comparing DME with methane, which is a main component of natural gas, in aspects of combustion instability, NOx and CO emission and the outlet temperature of combustion chamber. The results of performance tests show that DME is a very clean but hard to control. CO emission level of DME is lower than that of methane and NOx emission level of DME is as low as that of methane. When firing DME, the pressure fluctuation in combustion chamber caused by combustion instability is lower than that of firing methane. From the result of outlet temperature, we can get DME is easy to flash back, and this property should be considered when operating a gas turbine and designing a burner.

In this paper, we simulate a rotor pole cold forging process by a forging simulator with both tetrahedral and hexahedral element capabilities and compare the predictions obtained by the two approaches with the experiments. Hexahedral element capability runs manually while tetrahedral element capability runs automatically with help of an intelligent remeshing technique. It is shown that the tetrahedral element capability can give quite accurate solution if assisted by the intelligent remeshing technique even though the tetrahedral element itself is not theoretically and numerically clear.

In this paper, we apply a forging simulator to automatic simulation of a connecting-rod forging process and compare its results with others found in the literature. The process information comes from the distributed examples of DEFORM3D. The process is fully automatically simulated using the tetrahedral element capability of AFDEX3D, developed by the authors. Our results are compared with the results found from the related literature, already simulated using DEFORM3D by other researchers. The comparison shows that our results are relatively excellent especially in terms of mesh quality on which the solution accuracy depends mainly.

DME (Dimethyl Ether, CH₃OCH₃) has highly attracted attention as an alternative fuel for transportation, power generation and LPG substitute owing to its easy transportation and cleanliness. This study was conducted to verify the combustion performance and to identify potential problems when DME is fuelled to a gas turbine. GE7EA gas turbine of Pyong-Tak power plant was selected as a target to apply the DME. Combustion tests were conducted by comparing DME with methane, which is a major component of natural gas, in terms of combustion instability, NOx and CO emissions, and the outlet temperature of the combustion chamber. The results of the performance tests show that DME is very clean but has a low combustion efficiency in low load condition. From the results of the fuel nozzle temperature we have ascertained that DME is easy to flash back, and this property should be considered when operating a gas turbine and retrofitting a burner.
석탄가스화 복합발전용 가스터빈의 상압 및 고압연소특성에 관한 실험적 연구

에너지기후시대에 신에너지원 발굴, 저탄소 녹색성장의 일환으로 석탄 IGCC기술이 개발 중에 있다. 본 연구는 IGCC기술 중 가스화기에서 생산된 합성가스를 가스터빈에 직접 주입시 생길 수 있는 문제점을 미리 파악하고, 그 연소특성자료를 축적하기 위해 수행되었다. GE7EA연소기를 대상으로한 상압 및 고압연소실험을 통해 합성가스의 기본적인 연소특성을 파악하였으며, 수소화염이 과다한 NOx발생의 원인임을 파악하고, 질소희석을 통해 NOx배출량을 제어할 수 있음을 확인하였으며, 연소진동은 크게 발생치 않음을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 축적된 시험 데이터는 2015년에 국내 최초로 준공예정인 태안 IGCC플랜트에 연소진단시스템 및 최적화 기술적용시 활용된 예정이다. In the era of energy climate, IGCC technology is one of the powerful solutions for the demands of new energy with low carbon green growth. The present study is conducted to investigate the combustion characteristics of syngas from the coal gasifier to predict problems when it is fed to the gas turbine. Through high and low combustion tests, we understood that hydrogen is the main reason of NOx emission but easily controled by injecting the dilution of nitrogen. CO emission of syngas was comparable with that of methane and pressure fluctuation of syngas was not significant. The data from this study will be used for the optimization of combustion in the Korea first IGCC plant in 2015.
초등학교 남학생의 줄넘기운동이 신체구성성분 및 AHP에 미치는 영향

This study was to find out that regular and long-term rope-skipping had influence on AHP and the physical variety of senior elementary schoolboys and was to analyse the effect. Furthermore, this experiment was intended to have a positive effect on the growth of elementary schoolboys. The objects were the 5th and 6th grade male students in the elementary school. The numbers of experimental group were 14, the numbers of control group were 16. Most students had no experience in any exercise, and so let them jump rope in school easily. They jumped rope over 40 minutes, five-times a week. The rope-skipping is the exercise that cause MES(minium effective strain) for bones. The contents for measurement were weight, height, body-fat and AHP. They were measured before the exercise and 12 weeks later. The results of study were as follows; 1. In the height of the experimental group, after 12 weeks there was a little increase-+1.57cm(P<.001)-, and also in the control group, there was a little increase-+1.23cm(P<.001). 2. In the weight of the experimental group, after 12 weeks there was a little increase-+0.69kg(P<.001), and also in the control group there was a little increase-+0.59kg(P<.01). 3. In the body fat, both the experimental group and the control group had no much difference before and after exercise. 4. In AHP of the experimental group, after 12 weeks there was a little increase-+1.00cm(P<.01). On the other hand, in AHP of the control group, there was a little decrease -2.76cm(P<.001). In the result, the rope-skipping had a positive effect on AHP and the physical variety of senior elementary schoolboys. In the experimental group, AHP was increased, but in the control group, it was decreased. Therefore, this study could suggest that in the 5th grade and 6th grade male students of the elementary school-that is a maximum growth period-, regular and long-term rope-skipping had influence on the growth of them.
