Most research on ginseng primarily focuses on the ginseng root. However, research interest on ginseng have shifted from roots to leaves. This shift is because leaves are harvested annually while roots require several years before harvesting and the leaf extract contains higher contents of glycosides than the root extract. Recently, we treated ginseng leaf extract (GLE) with acid and obtained a variant of GLE named UG0712. In the current study, to verify the superiority of UG0712 over its precursor, a comparative study was conducted between UG0712 and GLE in terms of capacity of exercise performance in mice. Our findings revealed that UG0712 surpasses GLE in the effects on maximum running time on treadmill, grip strength, and the maximum volume of oxygen consumed during exercise/min/kg as well as levels of muscle glycogen and blood lactate and lactate dehydrogenase in mice. Furthermore, we observed that UG0712 also exhibited greater effectiveness in enhancing the expressions of the proteins associated mitochondrial genesis in C2C12 muscle cells of mice, which were phosphorylated AMP-activated protein kinase, sirtuin 1, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator-1 alpha, nuclear respiratory factor-1, and mtTFA, mitochondrial transcription factor A. mitochondrial. From these results, we conclude that the UG0712 improves the capacity of exercise performance and alleviates fatigue more effectively than GLE, possibly through enhancing mitochondrial genesis to a greater extent.

Over the past few years, anthocyanin has been demonstrated to exert potentially anti-oxidative and bioavailability effects including anti-cardiovascular disease and cancer-preventive effects in humans. This study was conducted to assess the toxicity of anthocyanin extracts from black soybean seed coats via oral administration in a mice feeding test. The final anthocyanin-containing products induced signs of toxicity on mortality in the 4-week feeding test. The incidence of clinical signs and changes in body and organ weight were also not observed in all anthocyanin-treated groups as compared with the control groups. In hematology analysis, RBC indices concluding MCV, MCH, and MCHC and WBC differential counting such a NEU, LYM, MONO, EOS, and BASO evidenced no significant differences between the anthocyanin treatment and control groups. The biochemical parameters in serum analysis-ALT, AST, BUN, Crea etc.-were also not significantly altered in those groups. Absolute and relative organ weights were not increased after 4 weeks of treatment with anthocyanin extracts in mice. In conclusion, anthocyanin extracts from the black soybean has biological activity without any toxic effects, which also suggests that the consumption of soy containing anthocyanin products may be a good source for health and medical supplies.
RIMS 데이터 시계열 분석을 통한 도시철도 운용효율 향상

In this paper, Seoulmetro that is the fisrt operation organization which operates a city railroad rolling-stock maintenance RIMS(rolling stock information maintenance system) collected and analyzed a light maintenance data and introduced time a series analysis technique to find the way how to contribute to a use efficiency improvement of a city railroad. The purpose of time a series analysis is to remove a seasonal change including data and to check an irregular fluctuation. First of all, a collection range of the data comes under a light maintenance ,however it needs a data of more than 3 years to check the seasonal change. We put a study for an accumulated scope that the data satisfy a period like this and are able to extend a range of the study when time flys forward. The data used for study is filtered using a movement average method after passing proper selection working and is solved with a method which looks for season index. Using the season index that was getten in here, we predict a light working frequency, if it has an irregular change , we will contribute it to a city railroad a use efficiency improvement and establish the cause by carrying out prevent maintenance in advance.

인권의식의 신장과 더불어 보다 흉포화, 지능화되는 범죄에 대응하기 위해 마련된 수사경과제는 시행한지 8년이 지났다. 수사경과제는 일반경과와는 별도로 경찰의 역할과 직무의 특수성에 따라 수사경과를 분리하여 수사경찰의 선발, 승진, 인사를 개별적으로 운용하며 수사업무를 담당하는 경찰관을 수사업무에만 전담시켜 수사경찰의 전문적 역량을 강화하고자 하는 목적을 지향하여 수사경찰 전반을 관리하는 제도이다. 수사전문성 확보를 위해 마련된 이 제도는 주요 선진국의 경찰에서는 이미 수사의 기능을 독립적인 조직과 수사업무 전담으로 하는 의미에서의 제도가 시행되어 왔다. 이 연구에서 논의하고자 하는 내용은 수사경과제의 실효성과 함께 제기되는 문제점으로 인력수급의 불균형과 전문교육 부족에 따른 수사전문화제도 본래의 취지 미흡, 지역경찰과의 연계부족 등 체계적 제도체제에 대한 미비한 사항과 문제점에 대해 분석하여 효율적인 방향으로의 제언을 하고자 함이다. 또한 이 연구에서는 수사경과제의 제도적, 구조적 측면과 인사관리 측면중에 사기관리 분야에 대해 구조적인 실태와 분석을 통해 현행 제도의 실태와 문제점을 고찰하고 효율적인 제도의 개선방안에 제언하였다. The purpose of our study is to analyse the Professional Investigative Police System and to suggest some reform measures. A police force is a constituted body of persons empowered by the state to enforce the law, protect property, and limit civil disorder. Their powers include the legitimized use of force. The term is most commonly associated with police services of a state that are authorized to exercise the police power of that state within a defined legal or territorial area of responsibility. Police forces are often defined as being separate from military or other organizations involved in the defense of the state against foreign aggressors; however, gendarmerie are military units charged with civil policing. Law enforcement, however, constitutes only part of policing activity. Policing has included an array of activities in different situations, but the predominant ones are concerned with the preservation of order. In some societies, in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, these developed within the context of maintaining the class system and the protection of private property. Some parts of the world may suffer from police corruption. The police force is usually a public sector service, meaning they usually get paid by the taxpayer. The paper identifies the key tenets of intelligence-led policing, and describes progress made both organizationally and culturally to move the Investigations Branch to an intelligence-led policing mindset. Organizational successes were reported, but more limited success was achieved in relation to changing police culture.
FMECA 적용을 통한 벨트식 도어시스템 신뢰성 향상에 관한 연구

As a modern urban train of high-technology gets more and more complex, the failures should be controlled by scientific and systematic techniques. FMEA(Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) is a technique of analyzing the failure modes and their influences to the higher levels of system in order to discover the potential defects and improve the reliability. Especially, FMECA(Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis) is used when their criticality needs to be analyzed. FMEA has been also frequently applied to the urban train in the design and manufacturing step to meet the safety objectives and eliminate potential hazards/failures. Most of the cases are Design FMEA, Process FMEA or System FMEA. However there are few studies on FMEA technique in the maintenances for the urban train. FMEA hasn't been also applied to the trains operated by Seoul metro in the design and manufacture steps excepts the newest trains. In this paper, FMEA procedures for the maintenance of the belt-type door engines are proposed through analyzing the failures/maintenance data of the belt-type door systems in Seoul metro Line 1. Especially, the detailed FMECA is performed to the door magnet valve and switch, and door engine devices because they vastly influences the customer safety and satisfaction.
