Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the chararicstics of hand/wrist motions of two different types of computer task: CAD-oriented and genreal office task. Background: VDT task is known to have high risks of upper-limb musculoskeletal disorders. High repetitive motion of fingers, hand and wrist is one of the main risk factor in addition to the improper working postures and sustained static postures. It is presumed that the characteristics of dfferent task types might affect the repetitive motions of hand and wrist. Method: 11 CAD-oriented workers and 3 general office task workers participated in this study. We recorded their job approximately for 1 hour and took observed the motions for 10 min per participant. The type of task and motions for right and left fingers and wrist were defined and the frequencies of each motion were recored. Results: It was shown that CAD worker spent more time in mouse use as compared to the general office task. CAD workers took hand/wrist motions more than 30 times per minute, which is presumed to be high-risk to their wrist. However, large variation of wrist deviation was less than 4 time per minute. Conclusion: The hand/wrist motion of VDT task is affected by the task characteristics. CAD task workers are found to be exposed to high repetitive motions of hadn/wrist.

고령화는 생산가능 인구를 줄여 잠재성장률을 떨어뜨리고 엄청난 사회보장 재정의 부담을 불러와 국가경쟁력 약화의 원인이 될 수 있다. 고령화 현상이 계속되면 구매력 감소와 소비위축, 기업투자 감소 등으로 이어지면서 총수요, 총 공급 모두에 악영향을 미칠 것이다. 또한 수명의 연장으로 인한 인구구조의 고령화는 젊은 세대에게는 노인부양 책임과 자신의 노후대비 부담을 동시에 안게 되어 경제적 어려움이 가증될 것이다. 노인세대는 평균수명이 길어지면서 소득과 건강 상태의 불안으로 삶의 질이 저하될 것이다. 따라서 고령화의 현황과 원인분석을 통해 현재의 문제점을 심층적으로 파악하고, 앞으로의 장기적인 정책적 대안 마련을 위한 논의가 절실하다. 본 연구는 이러한 측면에서 노인들의 수명 연장에 따른 적절한 직업능력개발을 통한 새로운 일자리 창출을 위한 방안을 제시한다. Population ageing will result in the decline in the number of the economically active and thereby hinder growth. The governments and societies around the world are concerned as this will mean that fewer number of productive workers will be left to shoulder the growing burden of supporting the elderly. This may bring about a crisis in both economic and social terms. This session will raise two agendas. First, we will forecast the future of the aging population around the world. Second, we will focus more specifically on creating future jobs and vocational development for the aging population.

Objective: The prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders among fruit and vegetable farmers was analyzed based on survery studies. Background: Agriculture is still much dependent on manual tasks and it is presumed that many Korean farmers have musculoskeletal disorders with them. Characteristics of agricultural tasks are dependent on the prodcuts such as fruits, vegetables, or crops. It is presumed that those characteristics can affect the type of prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders. Method: One-hundred and twenty-three farmers (80 males and 43 females) answered to the modified Nordic questionnaire: 19 grape farmers, 20 pear farmers, and 84 cucumber and various vegetables farmers. Result: Grape and pear farmers frequently raised their arms and assumed prolonged standing, while vegetables farmers frequently assummed kneeling and sitting postures and carries out manual materials handling tasks. The prevalence rate of MSDs was the highest in the lower back with 58.5%. Fruit farmer showed relatively higher rate of MSDs in the arms and neck compared to vegetables farmers. Howerver, the differences between two types of farmers were not much great. The reasons for that are the number of participants is not large enough, the participants are mostly too old to answer the questions properly, and the farmers are doing various kinds of tasks even though they have their own main prodcuts. Conclusion: Task characteristics of farming prodcuts are found to partly related to the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders of farmers.

최근 급속한 산업변화에 따라 기업에서의 사회적 자본의 중요성이 증가하고 있다. 신뢰, 규범 및 네트워크 등 사회 구성원 간 공동의 이익을 위한 생산적 상호작용을 창출하는 무형 자산으로서 사회적 자본은 기업에서의 효율성과 생산성 제고, 개인의 복리를 증진시킨다. 이러한 변화에 적응하기 위해서 기업은 네트워킹을 통한 생산성 증가, 투명경영과 기업 지배 구조 선진화와신뢰 및 규범의 구축·활용이 필요하다. 본 연구는 지속가능한 발전을 위한 기업에서의 사회적 자본의 현황과 문제점을 분석하여 정책적 시사점을 제시한다. The great explosion of research on social capital has produced an impressive body of results confirming the importance of social capital in many different domains. Corporate social responsibility has changed into strategic social service activities such as strengthening public interest-related marketing activities, and as much as it can be used as a measure of socially responsible investment as a period trend, it has become perceived, not as an option, but as an essential management strategy. This paper provides a critical review of the literature on social capital, highlighting a number of concepts, empirical problems, sustainable development associated with the literature. This paper begins with a discussion of social capital in corporations in terms of their sustainable development. This paper suggests the rationale policy for a corporate approach to social capital.
