      • 관절활액 분석에 의한 만성슬관절염의 진단에 관한 임상적 연구

        The swelling of arthritic joints due to fluid accumulation is the major pathologic changes in several arthritis conditions of knee. The synovial fluid analysis was performed from selected 77 patients of chronic arthritis of knee who registered or admitted to Chungnam National University Hospital during the 11 months from October 1980 to September 1981. And the synovial fluid were aseptically collected for studies. Following are the summary of the study: 1. Among 77 cases, 30 were diagnosed as degenerative arthritis, 25 as rheumatoid arthritis, 8 as non-specific synovitis, 8 as traumatic arthritis, 2 as tuberculous arthritis, and 4 as pyogenic arthritis. 2. By routine synovial fluid analysis, the patients with degenerative & traumatic arthritis were classified into the group of noninflammatory fluid and the patients with rheumatoid arthritis were classified into the inflammatory fluid group and the patients with tuberculous & pyogenic arthritis were classified into the group of infectious fluid. 3. In the age and sex distribution, there was not a specific difference, but degenerative arthritis of knee was noticed only over the 40 years old. 4. All cases of degenerative arthritis showed transparent yellow color, but cases of rheumatoid arthritis of knee revelaed transparent or turbid yellow or greenish color. 5. High viscosity was noticed in all cases of degenerative arthritis. Low viscosity was noticed in 19 cases (76%) of rheumatoid arthritis (25 cases). 6. Good mucin clot was shown in all cases of degenerative arthritis of knee. Poor mucin clot was revealed in 17 cases (67%) of rheumatoid arthritis. 7. W.B.C. was less than 2,000 cells/㎣ in 27 cases (93%) of degenerative arthritis. But in cases (44%) of rheumatoid arthrits, W.B.C. was 2,000-15,000 cells/㎣. In diffdrential count of W.B.C., ploymorphonuclear leukocyte was less than 25% in 19 cases (63%) of degenerative arthritis, but that was 25 to 75% in 13 cases(52%) of rheumatoid arthritis. 8. Glucose was more than 81mg% in 26 cases (87%) of degenerative arthritis and in 23 cases (29%) of rheumatoid arthritis, but in tuberculous and pyogenic arthritis that was less than 80mg%. 9. Mean total protein amount was 3.3mg% in degenerative arthritis. In the others, that was increased. i. e., in rheumatoid arthritis (3.7mg%) in traumatic arthritis (3.5mg%) and in tuberculous and pyogenic arthritis (4.4mg%, 4.6mg%, respectively). Although these results of synovial fluid analysis could not give the conclusive & definite aid in differential diagnosis of chronic arthritis of knee, it was considered that they have only the value of an anxillary role in differential diagnosis associated with their specific symptoms of each type of arthritis.

      • GaN MMIC를 위한 R, L, C 및 Thru Line 수동소자 제작

        Ku -band 전력용 GaN MESFET 소자를 사용하는 전력증폭기 MMIC 설계 및 제작을 위한 Sapphire 기판위에 인덕터, 캐패시터, 저항 및 전송선로의 수동소자를 제작하였다. 직사각형 나선 인덕터, MIM 캐패시터, Ti을 이용한 금속저항 및 Thru 전송선로를 제작하였다. 제작한 직사각형 나선 인덕터는 12-18 GHz의 주파수 범위에서 0.2~5 nH 인덕턴스를 얻었으며, MIM 캐패시터에서 0.1~38.5 pF, Ti 금속저항에서 87Ω -2,235Ω을 얻었다. 또 Thru 전송선로는 Insertion Loss 약 0.2 dB, 입력 반사계수는 -30 dB를 얻었다. Ku-band MMIC passive devices of inductor, capacitor, resistor and thru line were fabricated on the sapphire to design the MMIC with GaN MESFET. Rectangular spiral inductor, MIM capacitor, Ti metal resistor and thru line were tested. It was measured that inductance of rectangular spiral inductors were 0.2~ 5 nH at 12~18 GHz, capacitance of MIM capacitors were 0.1~38.5 pF, resistance of Ti-resistors were 87~ 2235Ω, respectively. And the thru line with insertion loss 0.2 dB and input reflection index -30 dB was measured.

      • Methylmethacrylate Monomer가 심근수축 및 산-염기 평형에 미치는 영향

        Many studies have been conducted on the toxicity of methylmethacrylate monomer. Methylmethacrylate monomer has been known to cause physiological and histological changes in various organ systems. Particularly well-known are its effect on the vascular system and blood pressure. However, pharmacological effect of the monomer on the cardiac muscle, especially its direct action on the contractility and excitability, and on acid-base balance has not been clarified. In the present study, pharmacological effect of the monomer on the cardiac function was investigated through the measurement of contraction forces, maximal dT/dt and latency with Physiograph and its accessories in the turtle heart perfused with turtle Ringer solution containing the monomer liquid. Acid-base parameters, respiration, blood pressure and heart rate were measured with Physiograph in rabbits after intravenous injection and during continuous infusion of the monomer. Arterial blood was sampled in an anaerobic condition and analyzed with a blood gas analyzer. The results obtained are summarized as follows. 1. The contraction forces, maximal contraction dT/dt, maximal relaxation dT/dt were reduced markedly by methylmethacrylate monomer. 2. The latency was prolonged remarkably by methylmethacrylate monomer. 3. The heart rate was reduced markedly by methylmethacrylate monomer. 4. The tidal volume of respiration was reduced but the respiratory rate was increased significantly by the intravenous injection of methylmethacrylate monomer. 5. The tidal volume of respiration was increased but the respiratory rate was not changed by the intravenous infusion of methylmethacrylate monomer. 6. The arterial pH, PO_2 and base deficit were increased but PCO_2 and bicarbonate concentration were decreased by both intravenous injection and infusion of methylmethacrylate monomer. From the above results, it was concluded that methylmethacrylate monomer depresses the cardiac contractility and excitability and causes the respiratory alkalosis through enhanced ventilation.
