지상 무인체계용 다중입출력 통신 시스템 설계 및 성능시험 분석

High-capacity video, control and situation awareness data should be transmitted efficiently to control robots properly in the ground unmanned system, which requires the technology maximizing the communication range and the data transmission throughput. This technology is connected to the OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access)-MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) transmission technology under the limited bandwidth and transmission power. In this paper, we design MIMO communication system for ground unmanned systems, and investigate the data reception performance experimentally, comparing with SISO(Single Input Single Output) system. Experiment results show that the data reception performance of MIMO is significantly improved compared to that of SISO, e.g. 4dB gain of sensitivity and 5dB of SNR at the value MPR = 1, for the mobile stations with $2{\times}2$ STBC diversity.

In the military field, according to the MIL-STD-188-220, which is an Ad-Hoc communication protocol used for sending out or receiving data and voice smoothly among nodes in the situation that wireless communication nodes move arbitrarily, data communication is cut off because nodes can not know topology changes perpetually in the link disconnection state due to node movement in the case that transmitters do not confirm whether data is delivered to receivers or not, and transmit only the data having routine precedence continuously. In order to solve this problem, we have proposed the technique that makes efficient data communication possible by achieving a rapid topology change detection and link information update using TEST frame. We have analyzed TEST frame application effects in the two aspects of the topology update delay time and the data transmission success ratio.
MIL-STD-188-220C 기반 전술 무선 이동 Ad-Hoc 망에서 1-hop내 데이터 트래픽 감소 방법

The data delivery confirmation method of MIL-STD-188-220C, which is a tactical wireless mobile Ad-Hoc communication protocol, is that a source node requires the end-to-end ack from all destination nodes and the data-link ack from 1-hop neighboring destination nodes and relaying nodes, regardless of the hop distance from a source node to destination nodes. This method has the problem to degrade the whole communication network performance because of excessive data traffic due to the duplicate use of end-to-end ack and data-link ack, and the collision among end-to-end acks on the wireless network in the case of confirming a data delivery within an 1-hop distance. In order to solve this problem, this paper has proposed the method to perform the data delivery confirmation with the improvement of communication network performance through the data traffic reduction by achieving the reliable data delivery confirmation requiring the only data-link ack within an 1-hop distance. The effects of the proposed method are analyzed in the two aspects of the data delivery confirmation delay time and the data delivery confirmation success ratio.
안테나 기울기를 갖는 다중 무인 항공기 기지국들의 에너지 효율적인 데이터 서비스 운용

본 논문에서는 지향성 안테나의 기울임을 조절할 수 있는 무인 항공기 기지국의 에너지 효율적인 데이터 서비스 운용을 다룬다. 즉 최소 무인 항공기 기지국의 전체 에너지 소비로 지상 사용자들을 지원하는 데이터 서비스 운용을 연구한다. 기울어진 안테나에 의해 지상에 생성되는 타원 무선범위 특성을 기반으로 최소 고도획득 후, 최적성 손실없이 3차원 배치 문제를 2차원 배치 문제로 변환하였다. 시스템 전체 에너지 소비량을 분석하여 에너지 용량을 고려한 무인 항공기 기지국 운용에 대한 이해와 지침을 제공한다. This paper addresses the energy-efficient data service operation of unmanned aerial vehicle mounted base station (UAV-BS) that is capable of tilting adjustably its directional antenna. In other words, we study the data service operation to support ground users (GUs), with minimum UAV-BS total energy consumption (TEC). The 3D placement problem is converted into a 2D placement problem without any loss of optimality, by obtaining the minimum altitude based on the elliptical wireless coverage characteristics formed on the ground by the tilted antenna. We provide the insight and guideline for UAV-BS operation considering the energy capacity by analyzing the system TEC.
무인수상정을 위한 개선된 YOLOv7 기반 해양 선박탐지

With the advancement of unmanned technology, research on USVs(Unmanned Surface Vehicles) is actively progressing not only in civilian sectors but also in defense. Advanced technologies such as remote control, autonomous navigation, and autonomous control are applied to USVs for various military operations. These technologies commonly require ship automatic detection technology. This paper proposes a marine ship detection method for USVs using a deep learning-based object detection model. The proposed is based on the YOLOv7 model, introducing new features such as attention modules and upsampling techniques. Additionally, for model training, a dataset suitable for USVs is created by integrating publicly available datasets of targets. We compare the performance of existing models on the constructed dataset, showing the improved performance of the proposed model.

In this paper, we introduce a hybrid resource allocation algorithm based on the alternation and depth for the Ad-hoc wireless relay networks. In the proposed algorithm, we consider both the number of hops and the alternation of time resources for data region types. We provide the framework for Ad-hoc networks considering the different data region types, and analyze the performance of proposed algorithm. Using the Riverbed Modeler, a network modeling and simulation (M&S) simulator, we investigate the performance of proposed algorithm in terms of the maximum and average latency. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can outperform the existing even allocation and number of hops-based algorithms.
다종의 군용 무인 플랫폼의 원격 제어를 위한 HCI 기반 제어명령 보정 방법 설계

유무인 플랫폼 복합 운용의 경우 소수의 운용자가 다종의 플랫폼을 원격 또는 자율 운용하는 개념을 토대로 발전하고 있다. 다종 플랫폼에 대한 원격 제어의 경우, 플랫폼별 전용제어기 구성에 따른 한계로 인해 운용자의 숙련도에 따라 운용성의 차이가 있어, 운용자가 모든 플랫폼에 숙달하지 않는 이상 다종 플랫폼의 운용에 어려움이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 인간-컴퓨터 상호작용(HCI, Human-Computer Interaction) 기반의 원격 제어명령 보정 방법을 통해 숙련도, 제어기, 제어입력모듈에 관계없이 다종의 군용 무인 플랫폼을 단일 제어기를 이용해 원격 제어 할 수 있는 시스템 설계 방안을 제안한다. In the case of complex operation of manned/unmanned platform, it is developing based on the concept of remote or autonomous operation of various platforms by a small number of operators. In remote control for various platforms, there is the operation difference depending on proficiency of the operator due to limitations of the dedicated controller for each platforms, making it difficult to operate various platforms unless the operator obtains the proficiency for all platforms. To solve the problem, we propose Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) based control command calibration system design for remote control of various military unmanned platforms using a single controller regardless of proficiency, controller, and control input module.
