        Comparison of the EMG Activity of Shoulder Muscles according to Arm Position during Prone Arm Lift Exercise

        Background Full-can exercise was associated with a significantly higher scapulohumeral rhythm than empty-can exercise. These findings suggest that the movements of the scapula and glenohumeral joint are affected by the position of the arm. Purpose We investigated the effect of arm position on the muscle activity of scapular upward rotators during prone arm lift exercise. Study design Cross-sectional study Methods Thirty-two healthy subjects were participated in this study. The muscle activity of the serratus anterior (SA), upper trapezius (UT), lower trapezius (LT), and infraspinatus (IS) were measured using a surface electromyography device. All subjects were asked to perform prone arm lift exercise according to the three arm positions: palm down (PD), neutral (NT), and palm up (PU). One-way repeated analysis of variance was conducted. Results The EMG activities of the UT, LT, and SA were significantly different among three conditions (PU vs. NT vs. PD; p<0.05). The muscle activities of the UT and LT were significantly higher in the PD than in the PU (p<0.017). The muscle activity of SA was significantly higher in the PU than in the PD (p<0.017). However, the activity of the IS muscle was not significantly different among the three conditions (p>0.05). Conclusions Prone arm lift exercise for SA strengthening is recommended to be performed in a PU position.

        Comparison of the Muscle Activities of Upper Trapezius and Middle Deltoid between Subjects with and without Elevation of Shoulder Girdle during Arm Elevation

        Purpose: Muscle imbalance between upper trapezius (UT) and serratus anterior (SA) during arm elevation is a factor causing shoulder dysfunction. However, there is no study to compare the muscle activities of the UT and middle deltoid (MD). The purpose of this study was to compare the muscle activities of the UT and MD between with and without elevation of shoulder girdle (ESG) during shoulder abduction. Methods: The subjects without (control group=9) or with (ESG group=8) participated in this study. The muscle activities of the UT and MD were measured using a electromyography during 90o shoulder abducted position in both group. The data in middle of 3-second of the 5-second periods were used. The mean value of three trials was used in the data analysis. For each muscle, independent t-tests were performed to compare for group differences. Results: The muscle activity of UT was significantly greater in ESG group, compared to that of the control group (p<0.05). The muscle activity of MD was significantly smaller in ESG group, compared to that of the control group (p<0.05). Conclusion: These findings showed that low muscle activation of MD as well as SA may contribute to hyperactivity of UT during arm elevation.

        융합 보안관제시스템 구축 활성화 연구

        Due to the rapid development of IT technology in modern times, as new social circumstancesand cultures emerge, the integration of various industries is taking place. The value ofinformation assets has seen an accompanied increase with this phenomenon followed by a dramaticincrease in damaging cases of information leakage and security related breaches. In order toaddress such changes in the information age frontier, there is a need for appropriate changes to thesecurity systems in the security industry. This research takes the perspective not of the supplierfor the recently trending implementation of integrated security control systems, but approachedthis issue from the perspective of the demanding customer, and through analyzing governmentpolicies and guidelines through previous research, and by determining the needs of the customerand the limitations of the systems through case studies on actual implementations of security solutions,and finally, based on survey research of hands on system administrator and professionals inrelated industries, the problematic issues and potential suggestions for integrated security controlsystems were deduced. 현대사회는 IT기술의 급속한 발전으로 인해 새로운 사회현상과 문화가 등장하게 되면서 다양한분야의 융합이 이루어지고 있다. 이로 인해 정보자산의 가치도 함께 증가하게 되면서 이를 노리는 정보유출 및 보안사고에 따른 피해도 급증하게 되었다. 이러한 시대적 변화에 대응하고자 보안 분야도 더욱변화된 보호체계가 필요하게 되었다. 본 연구는 최근 들어 메가트랜드로 자리 잡고 있는 융합 보안관제시스템의 도입에 있어서 공급자 관점이 아닌 수요자 관점에서 접근하기 위해 선행연구를 통한 정부정책과 제도를 분석하였으며, 실제 구축사례를 통한 고객요구사항과 한계점을 파악하고 실제 운영관리자와 관련업계 종사자들의 설문조사를 바탕으로 융합 보안관제시스템의 문제점과 시사점을 도출하였다. 키워드: 융합보안, 물리보안, 정보보안, 융합보안관제, 융합보안관제시스템

        IoT 계층별 보안위협 분석 및 대응기술 개선 방안 연구

        In this paper, we propose an attack detection technology using SDN Controller to study security threats in IoT environment. The research methodology has been developed by applying IoT security threat management technology to the IoT layer and analyzing the research trend of applied security technology. The study results show that the effectiveness of the detection method using the sampling method is studied by adding OpenFlow based SDN Controller to the network switch equipment of the existing IoT network. This method can detect the monitoring and attack of the whole network by interworking with IDS and IPS without affecting the performance of existing IoT devices. By applying such improved security threat countermeasure technology, we expect to be able to relieve anxiety of IoT security threat and increase service reliability. 최근 급격히 증가하고 있는 IoT 환경에서의 보안위협 대응방안에 관한 연구를 위해서 SDN Controller 기능을 활용한 침입감시 대응기술 방안을 연구하고자 한다. 연구방법은 IoT 계층별 보안위협에 따른 대응기술 및 적용되는 보안기술의 연구 동향 분석을 통해 향상된 IoT 보안위협 대응기술 구현 방안을 수립하였다. 연구결과는 기존의 IoT망의 네트워크스위치 장비에 OpenFlow 기반의 SDN Controller를 추가하여 샘플링 기법을 통한 탐지방법의 실효성을 연구하였다. 이 방법은 기존 IoT 기기의 성능에 영향을 미치지 않으면서도 IDS 및 IPS와의 연동만으로도 네트워크 전체의 모니터링 및 공격에 대한 탐지가 가능해 졌다. 이와 같이 향상된 보안위협 대응기술을 적용하면 IoT 보안위협 불안감 해소와 서비스 신뢰를 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대 한다.

        Effect of Calcaneal Taping on Peak Plantar Pressure of Forefoot and Rearfoot during Gait

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of calcaneal taping on peak plantar pressure of rearfoot and forefoot while walking. Methods: Fifteen healthy subjects with normal feet participated in this study. Inclusion criteria were as follows: (1) no disturbance of gait and foot pain, (2) normal range of motion of ankle joint, (3) no foot deformity. Pedoscan was used for recording of plantar pressure data during walking. The participants walked along a 12-m walkway before and after application of calcaneal taping. The plantar pressure gait was measured 3 times under barefoot and calcaneal taping conditions randomly at a speed practiced with the metronome during gait. The peak plantar pressure data were calculated for medial and lateral areas of the rearfoot and forefoot. The paired t-test was used to determine significant differences in peak plantar pressure of rearfoot and forefoot before and after application of calcaneal taping. A p-value less than 0.05 was accepted as significant. Results: The calcaneal taping resulted in statistically significant decreases in peak plantar pressure of the rearfoot (medial side: p=0.03; lateral side: p=0.01). However, there were no significant changes in peak plantar pressure of the forefoot (medial side: p=0.45; lateral side: p=0.40). Conclusion: The calcaneal taping is recommended to reduce plantar pressure of the rearfoot in weight-bearing activities in subjects with plantar heel pain caused by atrophy of the fat pad.
