일 간호대 여대생들의 알코올 사용과 섭식 태도의 관련성

        변성혜(Seong-Hye Byeon),송병아(Byoung A Song),원성두(Seong-Du Won),이소희(So Hee Lee) 한국중독정신의학회 2013 중독정신의학 Vol.17 No.1

Objectives : Alcohol use disorders (AUDs) and Eating disorders (EDs) are known to co-occur. The present study examined the association between alcohol use and eating problems among female students in a nursing school college in Korea. Methods : A cross-sectional survey with young college women (n=117) in Seoul was conducted using self-administered questionnaires which consists of the Korean version of Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT-K), Korean version of Eating Attitude Test (KEAT-26) and Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation (BSI). We assessed the frequency of excessive drinking and disordered eating attitudes. Pearson’ correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were per-formed to identify the related factors associated with harmful drinking. Results : 1) Excessive drinking (AUDIT-K≥8) was reported by 6% of participants. 2) AUDIT-K score was negatively associated with age of first drinking (Alcohol-s) and positively associated with total score on EAT (KEAT-T) and score on Bulimia & Food Preoccupation factor (KEAT-B). Score on Dieting factor (KEAT-D) was positively associated with BSI score. BSI score was positively associated with Age of regular drinking (Alcohol-R). 3) Early start of alcohol use and disordered eating attitude were found to be significant predictors of excessive alcohol use by multiple linear regression analysis. Conclusion : Results suggest that harmful alcohol use and disturbed eating attitudes are linked in young Korean women. The present study provides support for an association between AUDs and EDs. More studies are needed to understand the psychobiological mechanisms of this comorbidity, and to develop treatments for individuals with comorbid AUDs and EDs. It is necessary to give more attention to early start of alcohol use which contributes to excessive drinking.

Objective:Recently the prevalence of pathological drinking behavior in women is increasing, but the psychological characteristics of alcohol consumption in young women have rarely been investigated. In this study, the authors investigated the relationships between alcohol use severity, impulsivity, social dis-tress and fear of negative evaluation. Methods:The subjects, 157 college women, were assessed with the Korean Alcohol Use Dis-orders Identification Test (AUDIT-K), the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale (BIS), the Korean Social Avoidance & Distress (K-SAD) and Korean Fear Of Negative Evaluation (K-FNE) tests. We designated a cutoff score of twelve or above for the AUDIT-K as the criterion for the presence of problem drinking. The correlations between each psychological variable (BIS, K-SAD, K-FNE) and alcohol use severity were investigated. Results:The results of this study were as follows:1) The percentage of drinking within the preceding one-year period was 86.4% and the percentage of problem drinkers was 24.2% among the 157 subjects. 2) The problem drinkers showed statistically significant higher mean scores on the BIS than the non-problem drinkers. The problem drinkers showed statistically significant higher mean scores on the K-FNE than the non- problem drinkers, but there was no significant difference between these groups in the K-SAD. 3) The AUDIT-K was positively correlated with BIS and K-FNE, but there was no correlation with the K-SAD. 4) Impulsivity and fear of negative evaluation were positively correlated with problem drinking. Problem drinking was significantly increased when negative evaluation or impulsivity was increased. Conclusion: Women with drinking problems were more impulsive and more fearful of negative evaluation than women without drinking problems. Impulsivity and fear of negative evaluation were positively correlated with drinking. These results suggest that it is necessary to give more attention to psychiatric conditions of problem drinking college women and to evaluate psychosocial problems related with alcohol consumption.

        배정은(Jung Eun Bae),손인기(In-Ki Sohn),김임렬(Im-Yel Kim),양승호(Seung Ho Yang),이종훈(Jong Hun Lee),원성두(Seong-Du Won) 대한생물치료정신의학회 2010 생물치료정신의학 Vol.16 No.2

Objectives : There are several reports that patients with bipolar disorder have the negative cognitive style such as depressive disorder and it affect the course of illness. The insight of his or her own illness is also contribute to the course of it. In this research, We would like to investigate the relationship between symptoms, cognitive insight and dysfunctional attitudes of bipolar disorder. Methods : A total of 29 Bipolar patients and matched normal controls were recruited. All subjects completed the following questionnaires : Korean version of mood disorder questionnaire(K-MDQ), Korean version of Dysfunctional Attitude Style(K-DAS), and Korean version of Beck cognitive insight scale(K-BCIS), Korean version of Young Mania Rating Scales(K-YMRS) and Korean version of Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(K-HDRS) were administered to all patient by clinicians. Results : Compared with normal controls, patients with bipolar disorder showed significantly higher cognitive dysfunctional attitude scores. In subscales, scores of evaluation and perfection were significant differences. K-YMRS scores were negatively correlated with K-MDQ scores and K-BCIS scores. K-YMRS scores and K-MDQ scores had no correlation with scores of the dysfunctional attitudes. But K-YMRS scores were positively correlated with the self-esteem subscale of the dysfunctional attitude. Conclusion :Our results suggest that mood symptoms in bipolar disorder may affect subjective experience and cognitive insight of illness, but may not correlate with dysfunctional attitudes. The cognitive insight also do not correlate with dysfuctioanl attitudes. But compared with normal control, patient with bipolar disorder showed higher cognitive dysfunctional attitudes, especially evaluation and perfection.
