신경뿌리병증을 동반한 요추 추간판탈출증 환자의 봉약침 후관절 심부시술 효과에 대한 증례 보고

The purpose of this study is to research and report the effect of Bee Venom pharmacopuncture therapy at facet joint for the two patients who was diagnosed as herniated intervertebral disc (HIVD) of lumbar spine. Two patients were hospitalized and treated with Complex Korean Medical treatment such as acupuncture, herbal medicine and Essential bee venom (EBV) pharmacopuncture in Dongsuwon hospital of oriental medicine. We measured their pain and function of daily life by numerical rating scale (NRS), straight leg rasing test (SLRT), Roland-morris disability questionnaire (RMDQ). As the result, we found the improvement of gait disturbance, functional disorder, and pain. This study suggested that Bee Venom pharmacopuncture therapy at facet joint is considered to conservative treatment for HIVD of lumbar spine. But further clinical studies are needed to clarify the effect of Bee Venom pharmacopuncture therapy at facet joint for the two patients with HIVD of lumbar spine.

청심연자탕 가감방으로 호전된 교뇌 출혈 이후 발생한 양측 반신부전마비, 연하곤란, 언어장애 치험 1례

Objectives: This case study evaluated the effectiveness of Chengsimyeonja-tang-gamibang (Gamicheongsim-tang and Cheongsimsunhwal-tang) in a patient with a pontine hemorrhage and quadriparesis, dysarthria, and dysphagia. Methods: A patient diagnosed with a pontine hemorrhage was treated with Chengsimyeonja-tang-gamibang (Gamicheongsim-tang and Cheongsimsunhwal-tang) acupuncture, and moxibustion. The manual muscle test (MMT), modified Barthel index (MBI), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), modified Rankin Scale (mRS), Mini Mental State Examination-Korea (MMSE-K), and Articulatory Functional Ability of Achievement Scale were administered. Results: Improvements in the MMT, MBI, NIHSS, mRS, and K-MMSE were observed after the treatment. The MMT grade increased from Rt. 3/3- and Lt. 3/3- pretreatment to Rt. 4/4 and Lt. 4+/4+ post-treatment. The MBI increased from 10 to 50 post-treatment. The NIHSS decreased from 24 to 6 post-treatment, and the mRS fell from 5 to 4 post-treatment. Finally, the MMSE-K increased from 0 to 24 post-treatment. The Articulatory Functional Ability of Achievement Scale also improved. Conclusion: This study shows that Chengsimyeonja-tang-gamibang can be used to treat the symptoms of patients with a pontine hemorrhage.

A case report on a patient with Dupuytren’s contracture improved by acupuncture, moxibustion and bee venom pharmacopuncture Chan Hyuck Bang1,*, Soo Ah Sohn1, Kyung Yun Lee1, So Yoon Ok2 and Yu Na Choi3 1Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Medicine, Dongsuwon Oriental Medical Hospital 2Department of Oriental Rehabilitation Medicine, Dongsuwon Oriental Medical Hospital 3Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Medicine, Dongguk University Bundang Oriental Hospital Objectives : To treat the progression of fibroproliferative disease that affects the flexion contracture of the fingers for patients with Dupuytren’s contracture, the purpose of this study is to report a case of a patient with Dupuytren’s contracture after complex Korean medical treatment. Methods : A patient was treated with acupuncture, moxibustion and bee venom pharmacopuncture on their left palmar aponeurosis. Six rounds of acupuncture and moxibustion were administered from November 30, 2015 through to January 2, 2016. Three rounds of bee venom pharmacopuncture was administered from December 14, 2015 through to January 2, 2016. The degree of flexion contracture and the Tubiana’s stage were measured to evaluate the clinical improvement. Results : After 30 treatment sessions the flexion contracture degrees of the 4th finger's metacarpophalangeal joint and proximal interphalangeal joint improved as much as 25°, 15°, respectively. And the flexion contracture degrees of the 5th finger's metacarpophalangeal joint, proximal interphalangeal joint and distal interphalangeal joint improved as much as 15°, 10°, 5°, respectively. The Tubiana’s stage of each finger decreased from 4 to 3. Conclusion : This study suggests that acupuncture, moxibustion and bee venom pharmacopuncture could be effective for patients with Dupuytren's contracture.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to report the effect of Oriental medicine on spontaneous osteonecrosis of the knee. Methods Patients received Oriental treatment such as Bee-Venom therapy and acupuncture & moxibustion. The improvement of the pain intensity and recovery of gait was observed. Results During five weeks of treatment, patient``s knee pain and gait disturbance were improved. Conclusions In this case, Oriental treatment on spontaneous osteonecrosis was effective to reduce pain and recover gait. (J Korean Med Rehab 2015;25(2):189-196)
