An absorption heat pump cycle has been modeled and simulated to analyze the system performance of water-cooled, series-flow, double-effect absorption heat pump, which can be applied to a direct gas fired cooling system with the medium range of cooling capacity (15RT level). Effect of absorption cooling system parameters, such as concentration difference, inlet temperature of cooling water, 1st generator temperature, leaving temperature differences of condenser and evaporator and efficiency of solution heat exchanger, has been investigated in the view of system cooling performance.
HCFC-22 냉매사용 차량냉동시스템의 증발 열전달에 관한 실험

An experimental study has been performed to identify the evaporation characteristics of HCFC-22 for transport refrigeration system. Heat transfer coefficients were measured in a horizontal, smooth evaporating tube with an inner diameter of 10.7mm and a length of 2.8m. The refrigerant was heated electrically by surface-wrapped heaters and uniform power is applied along the tube. The entire tube was divided into 7 sections. Surface temperatures of tube and refrigerant temperature in each test section were measured. Pressure drops in each section and the inlet pressure were also measured. The mass flowrate of the refrigerant was controlled and measured. A single tube evaporation test was conducted for different ranges of mass flux of refrigerant, heat flux of evaporator and condensing temperature of transport refrigeration system. The evaporation heat transfer coefficients of HCFC-22 were compared with predictions from the well known Chen's correlations. Averaged heat transfer coefficients in this experiment range from $2kW/m^2/^{\circ}C$ to $3kW/m^2/^{\circ}C$. Most of the experimental results differ from the predicted ones by less than ${\pm}30%$.

The airflow characteristics in both the upper plenum and the clean space of clean room are investigated by measuring the pressure distribution of the upper plenum and the velocity profile in the clean space, at the various conditions of the supplied airflow rate, the volume of upper plenum and the air supply type. The performance of vertical air supply type and horizontal air supply type is analyzed in terms of the airflow uniformity which is frequently used in indicating the clean room performance, and the relations among the volume of upper plenum, the supplied airflow rate and the airflow uniformity are confirmed. The results of this experimental study can be applied to the designing of the upper plenum of clean room.

Experimental data are reported for charging and collection of NaCl aerosols in the 0.03- to $0.2{\mu}m$-geometric-mean-diameter range in 2-stage parallel-plate electrostatic precipitators. The NaCl aerosols are generated with geometric standard deviation of about 1.74 and particle generation rate of about 10^9 particles/see by the constant output atomizer and injected into the air flow in the clean wind-tunnel. The 2-stage parallel-plate electrostatic precipitator installed in the test section of the wind-tunnel is operated with a positive corona discharge. The NaCl aerosols in the channel flow are sampled and transported to the aerosol particle number concentration measurement system by using the isoaxial sampling and transport system constructed based on the Okazaki and Willeke design. The aerosol particle number concentration measurement system measures the size distribution of submicrometer aerosols by an electrical mobility detection technique. It is confirmed from comparing the measured collection efficiencies in this study and the predicted ones by our previous theoretical analysis that the predicted collection efficiencies agree well with the experimental ones. It is also found from the comparison that below about $0.02{\mu}m$ all particles are not charged and the uncharged particles are not collected, and consequently 2-stage parallel-plate electrostatic precipitators are not suitable for that particle size range.
