A building energy performance certification and disclosure system aims to increase the market value of energy efficient building and to induce energy efficient investments by making owner disclose building energy performance during building transaction. This policy has been widely adopted in many countries worldwide, and also enforced in Korea from February 2013. The purpose of this study is to suggest strategies to improve operational rating method in building energy performance disclosure system and to discuss a few requirements to be considered in developing operational rating method. Operational rating methods of Display Energy Certificate, Energy Star Portfolio Manager, Energideklaration, and Nabers energy rating were investigated and analyzed. Grading criteria and performance index, energy benchmarks, and energy normalization methods should be developed to improve the operational rating method.

Recently, many researches of the alternative and renewable energy have introduced due to the increasing oil price, the limited natural resources and the environmental pollution. In case of hydrogen energy, it has some merits, which can be substituted the existing the fossil fuel because of no contaminants from the combustion and the chemical reaction. We have been developing 1kW Hydrogen Linear Generator. In this paper, the thermal characteristic of this prototype linear generator has been investigated and obtained reliable analysis results comparing with experimental measurements. Especially, it is predicted that in case of 1kW, 60Hz test sample, the results satisfy with the temperature standards of H type insulation, which is shown average 69.0?C temperature distribution at the coil.

Modular systems are widely used in various building types including housing, dormitory, and barracks. Steel studs have many advantages over other materials as construction components of modular buildings in terms of seismic performance, durability and maintenance. However, steel stud modular systems also have weakness in condensation resistance due to high thermal conductivity of steel. The purpose of this study is to investigate the condensation resistance of steel stud wall corner details in modular buildings by thermal simulation. The condensation resistance was evaluated by temperature difference ratio according to ISO 13788. The result showed that there was little difference between the alternatives of adding cavity and insulation. Separation of interstitial steel studs showed outstanding effect on the improvement of temperature difference ratio.

Synchronizer ring performance is strictly required in order to extend manual transmission oil drain interval. Zn type additive, which is used as dispersant and anti-wear additive instead of SP additives in manual transmission oil. is applied to improve Synchronizing function and durability. But only Zn type additive is not suitable for high torque transmission because it has not good extreme pressure characteristics. We research on the synchronizer friction and extreme pressure properties in according to change additive types. As a result. it was found that the use of non-active extreme pressure and friction modifier additives has benefit in the improvement of synchronizer friction characteristics and durability.

A transformer is a device that changes the current and voltage by electricity induced between coil and core steel, and it is composed of metals and insulating materials. In the core of the transformer, the thermal load is generated by electric loss and the high temperature can make the break of insulating. So we must cool down the temperature of transformer by external radiators. According to cooling fan's usage, there are two cooling types, OA(Oil Natural Air Natural) and FA(Oil Natural Air Forced). For this study , we used Fluent 6.2 and analyzed the cooling characteristic of radiator. we calculated 1-fin of detail modeling that is similar to honeycomb structure and multi-fin(18-fin) calculation for OA and FA types. For the sensitivity study, we have different positions(side, under) of cooling fans for forced convection of FA type. The calculation results were compared with the measurement data which obtained from 135.45/69㎸ ultra transformer flowrate and temperature test. The aim of the study is to assess the Fluent code prediction on the radiator calculation and to use the data for optimizing transformer radiator design.
