Purpose: The purposes of this study were to 1) draw the core teaching competency for rotating faculties according to procedures of teaching at AFNA, 2) identify the difference of perception level between faculties and cadets and 3) evaluate educational needs for teaching competency. Methods: Behavior event interview(BEI) was conducted by distinguished rotating faculties. And then criteria and items were developed after core competence was examined at each procedure. After verifying the content validity, the data was collected from the whole rotating faculties(n=20) and cadets(n=286). Results: 34 teaching competency criteria and detail items which developed by each procedure verified the validity and reliability. There were the differences in the perception level between faculties and cadets. Also in each group the difference of importance and current level was significant. There were various education needs in general areas; Plan, Do, See procedures for faculties and cadets. Conclusion: The findings of this study demonstrate that the core teaching competency which was developed in this study will be useful for job training for new professors. This study also has a great significance in the aspect of presenting practical directions on preparing and monitoring of learner-centered teaching.
철학에 있어서 의식의 중요성: 교육적 성찰 실천의 역할

이 연구는 교육철학의 철학적 실천이 개념분석 및 논증과 같은 합리적 추론의 실천을 넘어서, 우리에게 교육적 가치를 부여하는 인식론적이고 존재론적인 지식의 형식을 낳는 비추론적 실천을 포함하는 사례를 제안한다. 이 연구는 지식 생산과 의식 상태 사이의 우발적 관계를 보여주는 의식 상태의 중요성 이론에 근거하여 이 사례를 제시한다. 하나의 사례로, 비이원론의 선(Zen) 철학과 비이원적인 경험의 실제를 사용함으로써, 이 연구는 교육철학의 영역에서 이러한 비합리적이고 비추론적인 철학이 오늘날의 험난한 세계에 필요한 공감, 지혜, 관용,용기의 비범함을 가진 인간성을 함양하는 중요한 교육적 과업에 효과적으로 참여하도록 유도할 수 있음을 주장한다. In this paper, we make the case that the purview of philosophizing in philosophy of education needs to extend beyond the rational discursive practices, such as, notably conceptual analysis and argumentation, and to include non-discursive practices that would yield epistemic and ontic forms of knowledge that are of educational value to us. We base this case-making on the primacy of states of consciousness thesis that shows the contingency relationship between knowledge production and states of consciousness. Using Zen philosophy of nondualism and practice of nondual experience as a choice example, we argue that inclusion of such non-rational and non-discursive philosophies in the purview of philosophy of education would allow us to effectively participate in an important educational project of cultivating humanity imbued with extraordinary degrees of compassion, wisdom, generosity, and courage, so needed for today``s troubled world.
사관생도의 주관적 안녕감에 대한 다집단 요인분석: 사회적 지지와 기본심리욕구만족을 중심으로

Purpose:The purpose of this study was to investigate the influencing factors of subjective well-being, which ROK military cadets were feeling. The authors assumed that the cadets`` subjective well-being would be increase when they met their psychological needs consisting of autonomy, competence and relatedness with social support from their peers, family and the faculty. Method:Samples included 1,044 female and male cadets, ranging from freshmen to senior, from three different military academies including the AFNA. The participants responded to 81 item questionnaires measuring their perceived social support, basic psychological needs satisfaction and subjective well-being. As a way to see the causal relationship among the three variables above, the Structural Equation Modeling Techniques were used. Results:As expected, causal relationships were found between the social support, basic psychological needs satisfaction and subjective well-being with the Structural Equation Model. Among others, autonomy was found to be the factor which significantly influenced on all the three elements of the cadets`` subjective well-being, life satisfaction, positive and negative affect. Conclusion:In order to improve the level of their cadets`` subjective well-being, ROK military academies should make an effort to develop a psycho-social supporting system.
