The positioner is an essential component of the control valve which is used to control quantity of the liquid in the pipe of chemical plants. In this paper, the experimental methodology for current pneumatic positioner was developed for the investigation of the static and dynamic characteristics of the positioner. The methodology was applied to evaluate response characteristics of two different positioners, which are current model in market and newly designed model. The experimental results of these two models were compared and analyzed.

It is important to get an accurate information of underground facilities to manage that, so some methods of detecting location are used to obtain the information of underground facilities. In this study, a magnetic method to detect underground facilities was developed. Using the magnetic method, underground facilities can be detected by a detector and the magnetic marker which is a permanent magnet and used to marking the location by attaching underground facilities. A proper characteristic of the magnetic marker was optimized by maxwell 2D magnetic field analysis tool, a test field was constructed with the magnetic marker, PVC pipe, and steel pipe under ground 1.5m, and the detector was made by modifying a common ferromagnetic detector. Magnetic strengths of the magnetic marker were measured by the detector at each location in the rest field, and analyzed by magnetic field analysis tool in the same condition. In the result, the 1.5m underground pipes were qualitatively detectable. The steel pipe was more detectable by ferro-magnetism. The developed magnetic method can be applied to maintain and manage underground facilities.

In this paper, a DC potential drop measurement system was used to find the position of the flaw on a simple thin plate. Four-point probe test was evaluated and used for this study. In the four-point probe test, the more distance between current pins provides the more measurable scope, the less voltage difference, and the more voltage difference rate. In the other hand, the more distance between voltage pins provides the less voltage difference and the less voltage difference rate. An optimized four-point probe was applied to measure the relation between voltage and the relative position of flaw to the probe. The Maxwell 21) simulator was used to analyze the electromagnetic field, and it showed that the analytical result was similar to the experimental result within 11.4% maximum error.

In this study, the ring tensile test at the high temperature was suggested to evaluate the hoop tensile properties of small pipe such as the cladding in the nuclear reactor. Using the Arsene's ring model, the ring tensile test was performed at the high temperature and the data was calibrated. From the numerical analysis, LCRR(load-displacement conversion relationship of ring specimen) was determined at the high temperatures. We can obtained the hoop tensile properties at high temperature by means of applying the LCRR to the calibrated data of the ring tensile test. From the result, it was observed that the strength decreased as the temperature increased, and the elongation dropped around 400℃. Additionally, there was a difference in view of the shape of fractured surface and the fracture mechanism between at the high temperature and at the room temperature.
평행부를 갖는 링 시험편의 인장특성 평가방법에 관한 연구

In this study, we tried to establish the method of evaluating the tensile property of the ring specimen of Arsene which have gauge length. For this, we verified the effect of central piece by FEM before we made central piece, pins, clevises and ring specimens for ring test. Pre-test was carried out with thses specimens and the devices and proper tensile speed and stable contact condition was determined. The result of main test was calibrated by the curve of deformation of device and compared with the result of FEM. Finally, a proto-master curve which is able to convert ring test data to tentile property was shown and the distribution of the hoop stress on all ring tensile process was observed by FEM.
