This paper considers the integrated process control procedure for detecting special causes in an ARIMA(0,1,1) process that is being adjusted automatically after each observation using a minimum mean squared error adjustment policy. It is assumed that a special cause can change the process mean and the process variance. We derive expressions for the process deviation from target for a variety of different process parameter changes, and introduce a control chart, based on the generalized likelihood ratio, for detecting special causes. We also propose the integrated process control scheme bases on the future loss. The future loss denotes the cost that will be incurred in a process remaining interval from a true out-of-control signal.

This paper considers the integrated process control procedure for detecting special causes in an IMA(1,1) process that is being adjusted automatically after each observation using a minimum mean squared error adjustment policy. When the control chart signals after the occurrence of a special cause, the special cause will be detected and eliminated from the process by the rectifying action. However, when the elimination of the special cause costs high or is not practically possible, an alternative action is to readjust the process with appropriately modified adjustment scheme. In this paper, we propose the readjustment procedure after having a true signal, and show that the use of the readjustment can reduce the deviation of a process from the target.

The process controller in the adjustment procedure is often used effectively to control the process level close to target when noise is present and unremovable. Examples of the robust controller are single EWMA controller and double EWMA controller. Double EWMA controller is designed to reduce the offset of the process deviation, which single EWMA can not eliminate. In this paper, the two controllers are modified by taking EWMA of the original controller to reduce the adjustment variance, which may become excessively large when the two given controllers are implemented. It is shown that the EWMA modification of the given controllers is successful in reducing the adjustment variance, while the mean squared deviation increases slightly.

In the plating process of the IC chips for the printed circuit board manufacturing, specification limits for the plating thickness are usually given but its target is not specified in most cases. When the target is not specified, the center point of the specification limits is used instead. When the process capability is large, however, the use of the center point for the target is not the best choice in the context of the total cost. In this paper, the total cost is defined in terms of the production cost and the loss function, and then the optimal choice for target is studied in order to minimize the expected loss. As a consequence, the optimal choice of the target reduces the expected loss significantly, while reducing the process capability slightly.
관리도에서 Markov연쇄의 적용: 복습 및 새로운 응용

Properties of statistical process control procedures may not be derived analytically in many cases; however, the application of a Markov chain can solve such problems. This article shows how to derive the properties of the process control procedures using the generated Markov chains when the control statistic satisfies the Markov property. Markov chain approaches that appear in the literature (such as the statistical design and economic design of the control chart as well as the variable sampling rate design) are reviewed along with the introduction of research results for application to a new control procedure and reset chart. The joint application of a Markov chain approach and analytical solutions (when available) can guarantee the correct derivation of the properties. A Markov chain approach is recommended over simulation studies due to its precise derivation of properties and short calculation times.

Variable sampling interval(VSI) and variable sample size(VSS) control charts vary the sampling rate for the next sample depending on the current chart statistic. This paper develops EWMA charts with the VSI and VSS features, and investigates the effectiveness of these charts in context of an economic model. The economic properties of these charts are evaluated by using Markov chain methods. The model contains cost parameters which allow the specification of the costs associated with sampling, false alarms, and operating off target. This economic model can be used to quantify the cost saving that can be obtained by using control charts with the VSI and VSS features instead of with the fixed sampling rate(FSR) feature, and can also be used to gain insight into the way that control charts with the VSI and VSS features should be designed to achieve optimal economic performance. The economic performance of X─charts with the VSI and VSS features is also considered.

In the process of investment negotiation, the investor and the enterprise have different opinions causing conflicts. Therefore, we need an objective standard to mitigate the conflicts between the investor and the enterprise, and need to make constant improvement to achieve a rational investment. Therefore, this paper presents an investment negotiation model which enables investment allocation regarding the core competences among companies. The presented model can mitigate the structure of conflicts between the investor and the enterprise considering idiosyncratic investment that is caused when the core competences is converted into power, and could be used in forming sustainable optimal alternatives in the process of dynamically changing negotiation.
소방공무원 국가직화에 따른 소방조직운영 효율화 방안 연구

본 연구는 국가직화 이후 소방조직운영 효율화에 대한 실증적인 조사를 통해 소방조직운영 효율화요인과 수준의상호인과관계를 규명하여 효율화방안을 제시하는데 있다. 연구 결과 소방조직운영 효율화방안에 대한 인식에 영향을 미치는 유의미한 변수(p < .05)는 조직구조·기능, 조직체계, 채용, 승진, 전문교육·연구, 직무분류, 운영 법·제도, 개인업무환경, 직장내부환경 요인으로 나타났다. 회귀분석 결과 효율화수준에 가장 영향을 미치는 요인은 중앙소방조직, 직장내부환경 요인이었으며, 이를 바탕으로 분석한 결과 중앙 및 지방 소방조직 구조 및 기능 개편, 소방기관의 조직 및 지휘체계의 일원화, 소방공무원 전문화로 소방조직운영 효율화수준 향상, 법·제도 및 환경적 여건등의 개선방안을 도출하였다. This study aims to investigate the interrelationship between the efficiency factors and the fire service organization’s levelof operation through an empirical survey on the organization’s efficiency after nationalization. The results of this studyshowed that significant variables (p < .05) affecting the perception of efficiency for the fire service organization’s operationwere organizational structure and function, organizational system, recruitment, promotion, professional education andresearch, job classification, operation law and system, personal work environment, and internal work environment factors. The regression analysis results showed that the most influential factors on the efficiency level were the central fire serviceorganization and internal environment factors. Based on the analysis, the following improvement measures were derived. The improvement of structure and function of the central and local fire service organizations; the unification of theorganization and command system of the fire service organizations; the improvement of the efficiency level of the fireservice organization operation by Specialization Fire Officers; the law・system and environmental conditions.
