농촌마을의 환경색채 개선에 관한 연구 - 경주시 농촌마을의 건축물 지붕 색채를 중심으로 -

농촌은 친환경적인 생활, 전통문화의 터전, 마을 공동체 형성의 상징으로서 공익적 가치가 높아지고 있으며 농촌지역의 체험 관광수요의 증가로 경제적 활용성이 높아지고 있으며 이에 농촌경관을 보존하고, 쾌적한 환경이 되도록 환경 및 공간 전체를 각 지역의 특성에 적합하게 정비할 수 있는 접근방법의 도입이 요구되고 있다. 농촌의 자연경관과 인공경관의 색채의 부조화는 곧 자연의 경관을 해치는 요소로 작용하므로 경관요소의 적절한 색채선정이 필요한 시점이다. 하지만 농촌의 급진적인 발전에 의한 무분별한 계획은 기존경관의 환경색채와 조화를 이루지 않은 색채 요소를 증가시켰고 그 중 가장 넓은 면적을 차지하는 건축물 외장 색채의 경우 주로 원색을 사용하고 있어 경관을 저해하고있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 농촌마을에 적합한 환경색채를 추출하기 위하여 국내·외 선진 사례를 연구하였고 기존마을의 상징성을 분석하여 이를 바탕으로 농촌마을과 조화를 이루는 색채 범위 내에서 건축물 외장 개선 색채를 선정하고자 한다.

농촌의 자연경관과 인공경관의 색채의 부조화는 곧 자연의 경관을 해치는 요소로 작용하므로 경관요소의 적절한 색채선정이 필요한 시점이다. 하지만 농촌의 급진적인 발전에 의한 무분별한 계획은 기존경관의 환경 색채와 조화를 이루지 않은 색채 요소를 증가시켰고 그 중 가장 넓은 면적을 차지하는 건축물 외장 색채의 경우 주로 원색을 사용하고 있어 경관을 저해하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 농촌 지역의 건축물 지붕 색채의 문제점을 객관적인 방법으로 분석하기 위함이다. 따라서 환경 색채와 조화되는 색채 범위 안에서 추출된 색채들과 `전통적 농촌마을`에 대한 형용사 이미지를 조사하였고 이를 비교해 봄으로써 현재 농촌마을의 건축물 지붕 색채의 문제점을 도출해 보았다. 그 결과 현황 색채에서 고채도의 원색들은 대부분 농가의 지붕에서 추출된 색채이고, 이 색채들은 `전통적 농촌마을`과 관계성이 낮은 형용사 색채와 비슷한 범위로 나타났다. 따라서 현재 농촌 마을의 농가 지붕 색채가 주변 환경과 조화를 이루지 못하고 있으며, 색채 개선을 통하여 자연을 포함한 주변 경관과 조화를 이루는 지붕의 색채 선정이 필요하다고 판단되었다. Discordant colors of natural and artificial landscapes in rural area damages scenic beauty. There is a need to select proper colors for enhancing visual elements in rural areas. However, recent rapid developments in rural areas have increased the incongruity of colors not suitable for the surrounding environment and largest of which, building exteriors colored mostly in primary colors, are inhibiting the scenery. The purpose of this research is to analyze the problem arousing from the colors of rooftops in rural areas. This research has extracted colors which are in harmony with the environment and have searched for images of traditional rural village. And by comparing the colors and the images we have picked out the current problem in the colors of rooftops. As a result, primary colors with high chroma were extracted mostly from rooftops and these colors showed low relativity with adjective images of traditional rural village. Therefore we came to a conclusion that the current rooftops are not in harmony with surrounding environments and there is a need to select proper colors which are in harmony with its surroundings.

Sustainable rural life, the foundation of traditional culture, the village community development as a symbol of the growing public activities and tourism in rural areas are experiencing increased demand and to introduce the approaching method to suitably organize the whole space to fit into the characteristics of each region is being demanded in order to preserve the rural area and to make it a pleasant environment. Rural area’s natural landscape and artificial landscape’s clash of colors are effecting the element of harming the natural landscape, so it is time to select the colors for landscape materials. However, indiscreet plan due to rapid development of the rural area has increased the color materials that don’t harmonize with the current landscape’s environment color and it is taking the biggest space which hinders the landscape because it is using primary colors on the buildings because it is easy to percept. Therefore, in this research, in order to extract the suitable environmental color, I have done a research on both domestic and foreign advanced cases and after analyzing the existing village’s symbols, based on this, I would like to select the colors within the range that harmonize with the rural village to improve the building colors.
