Since the beginning of 1970s, pre-installment sale system of an apartment house has been settled down with legal basis. This pre-installment sale system has been introduced to stimulate housing supply under the circumstance of chronic housing shortage. But recently, our capability of housing supply has been sufficiently brought up. So no more special favor in supporting housing supplier is needed in housing installment market. In some case, such as housings supplied by public corporation or redevelopment process, post-installment sale is compelled by law. In this context, this study aims to review the policy issues in switching pre-installment sale system, and to estimate the results of returning to post-installment sale system
