      • ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) 도입에 따른 의료 환경 변화에 대한 연구

        In recent years, many computer systems that are used for patient diagnostic and treatment purpose s are being introduced within hospitals. Therefore, being in a position to manage the hospital entirely, efforts to integrate their own unique system into one have started. A system values humans and creates the surrounding atmosphere into one which maximizes the abilities of individuals. For this, a scientific integration management operation system is required. The type of system that is demanded due to this requirement is an ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) system. Lately, even the hospital industry is beginning to show interest in efficient administrative methods. To deliver more predominant medical services, hospitals are trying to introduce scientific administrative methods, whose superiority were proven in enterprises, to the operation system of the hospital organization. ERP values humans over systems, and within a superior system, emphasizes the efficiency of the organization. This sort of process does not just evaluate and manage the working abilities of individuals, but provides an advanced working environment that increases the abilities of members within the organization by fold. Therefore, this research estimates through questionnaires and introductive cases how the introduction of ERP may change the work of customers within hospitals such as the radiologic technology department, and how it may also change the environment of medical services, thus striving to create a radiologic technology department that will not fall behind the times.

        Hospitals these days are trying to introduce the a practice has recently been generalized in the test or diagnosis process, where test results and images from different test labs are interlinked together. This process is identical to that of physical aspect in EMR process, which computerizes the paper results within the hospital. One of the prerequisites for the process of computerizing test results is the interface between clinical test devices in the test labs. However, due to the variety of prescription inputs, disparity of test result papers, complexity of job in test labs and diversify of interfaces among the different devices, interconnection with the hospital information system is a complicated job. A universal control of clinical test devices which have independent communication protocols has become possible by connecting them with an interface workstation. As for the patients, waiting time for test has been reduced, and, thanks to the synchronized result retrieval system, it has become possible to check the test results on the very day of the test. As a result, the length of hospitalization has been reduced, too. In terms of workflow, as the transfer of charts and transfer of result papers are separated, the embarrassing job of collecting result papers has disappeared. As patients' test appointment and the results processing can be made on-line, extra work for doctors have disappeared. And, thanks to the computerization of test results information management, the job of statistical processing has become convenient.

        Recently, there has been a rapid increase of interest in u-Health systems or instruments. The importance of testbeds has been discussed deeply also. However, beyond laboratory or ward environments, testbeds covering metropolitan area cannot be found easily. Moreover, there has been few papers which discuss the results of testbed operations for various instruments in different age groups. In this paper, the results of testbed which operated in Daegu metropolitan area are discussed and improvement directions to strengthen the competitiveness are proposed using user analysis. In particular, the results of trial services using the u-Life support instruments (medication reminder, falling safety phone, bio-patch and shirts, etc) for super aging societies in the near future are discussed.

      • GRID 기반의 분산형 의료영상 저장시스템 설계 및 구현

        Modern hospitals have been greatly facilitated with information technology (IT) such as hospital information system (HIS). One of the most prominent achievements is medical imaging and image data management so-called Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). Due to inevitable use of diagnostic images (such as X-ray, CT, MRI), PACS made tremendous impact not only on radiology department but also nearly all clinical departments for exchange and sharing image related clinical information. There is no doubt that better use of PACS leads to highly efficient clinical administration and hospital management. However, due to rapid and widespread acceptance of PACS storage and management of digitized image data in hospital introduces overhead and bottleneck when transferring images among clinical departments within and/or across hospitals. Despite numerous technical difficulties, financing for installing PACS is a major hindrance to overcome. In addition, a mirroring or a clustering backup can be used to maximize security and efficiency, which may not be considered as cost-effective approach because of extra hardware expenses. In this study therefore we have developed a new based on grid of distributed PACS in order to balance between the cost and network performance among multiple hospitals.

      • 비선형 Look-Up Table을 통한 영상 화질 개선에 관한 연구

        The role of radiology department has been greatly increased in the past few years as the technology in the medical imaging devices improved and the introduction of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) to the conventional film-based diagnostic structure is a truly remarkable factor to the medical history. In addition, the value of using digital information in medical imaging is highly expected to grow as the technology over the computer and the network improves. However, the current medical practice, using PACS is somewhat limited compared to the film-based conventional one due to a poor image quality. The image quality is the most important and inevitable factor in the PACS environment and it is one of the most necessary steps to more wide practice of digital imaging. The existing image quality control tools are limited in controlling images produced from the medical modalities, because they cannot display the real image changing status. Thus, the image quality is distorted and the ability to diagnosis becomes hindered compared to the one of the film-based practice. In addition, the workflow of the radiologist greatly increases; as every doctor has to perform his or her own image quality control every time they view images produced from the medical modalities. To resolve these kinds of problems and enhance current medical practice under the PACS environment, we have developed a program to display a better image quality by using the ROI optical density of the existing gray level values. When the LUT is used properly, small detailed regions, which cannot be seen by using the existing image quality controls are easily displayed and thus, greatly improves digital medical practice. The purpose of this study is to provide an easier medical practice to physicians, by applying the technology of converting the H-D curves of the analog film screen to the digital imaging technology and to preset image quality control values to each exposed body part, modality and group of physicians for a better and easier medical practice. We have asked to 5 well known professional physicians to compare image quality of the same set of exam by using the two different methods: existing image quality control and the LUT technology. As the result, the LUT technology was enormously favored over the existing image quality control method. All the physicians have pointed out the far more superiority of the LUT over the existing image quality control method and highly praised its ability to display small detailed regions, which cannot be displayed by existing image quality control tools. Two physicians expressed the necessity of presetting the LUT values for each exposed body part. Overall, the LUT technology yielded a great interest among the physicians and highly praised for its ability to overcome currently embedded problems of PACS. We strongly believe that the LUT technology can enhance the current medical practice and open a new beginning in the future medical imaging.

        일부대학생의 생활습관과 골밀도의 관계

        청소년기에 형성된 골밀도는 25세에서 35세 전후로 최고치가 되며, 형성된 골밀도는 중년기와 노년기에 감소된다. 골밀도 감소는 골다공증의 발생과 골절 위험성 증가 등을 유발하여 사회적인 건강문제로 대두되고 있다. 골다공증은 사전 예방이 매우 중요하며, 골밀도가 감소되는 중년기 이후보다 골밀도가 형성되고 최고로 발달되는 시기인 청년기에 적극적인 관리와 예방이 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 대학생의 골밀도 상태와 생활습관 및 신체활동과의 관계를 파악하여 골밀도 향상을 위한 자료 개발에 도움이 되는 시사점을 도출하고자 일부 대학생 119명을 대상으로 골밀도 측정과 생활습관에 대한 설문을 실시하여 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 대상자의 일반적 골밀도 상태는 정상 88명(73.9%), 골감소증 29명(24.4%), 골다공증 2명(1.7%)으로 정상이 가장 높게 나타났으나 골감소증도 다소 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 성별에 따른 생활습관과의 관계에서는 음주 경험, 흡연경험, 운동 경험이 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 음주경험, 흡연경험, 운동경험이 있는 경우는 남학생 군이 모두 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 일반적 특성에 따른 골다공증 상태와의 관계에서는 성별과 흡연경험이 집단 내에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 성별에서는 남학생에게서는 골감소증이 가장 높게 나타났고, 여학생은 정상이 높게 나타났으며 이는 통계적으로 유의하였다. 흡연경험에 따른 골다공증 상태에서는 흡연경험이 없는 군에서는 정상이 가장 높게 나타났고, 흡연경험이 있는 군에서는 골감소증이 가장 높게 나타났으며 통계적으로 유의하였다. The bone mineral density built in adolescence and college term is formed to the highest level between 25 years old and 35 years old and the formed bone mineral density is decreasing in the middle years and senescence. Decrease of the bone mineral density causes Osteopenia and an increase of dangerousness of a bone fracture which become social health problems. This research is to give guidance for the right living style by surveying the relation between the bone mineral density and college students' life. The result is like below. First of all, most objects of the research were insufficient of quantity of motion and the diet they have was consisted of instant food. It was far from the right living habit and exercise and the bone mineral density was also low. Second of all, male students showed more osteopenia than female students in this research and the smokers' bone mineral density was lower than nonsmokers, which proved that smoking in adolescence was related to the bone mineral density. Finally, the opportunistic eating and living style and the excessive diet and unequal caloric intake caused by the notion of preference for a slim person are considered to be the main reasons for the decrease of the bone mineral density.

        염화알칼리토금속 화합물에 도핑된 $Eu^{2+}$ 이온의 광발광 및 광자극발광특성

        염화알칼리토금속화합물에 Eu 이온을 첨가하여 $MCl_2:Eu^{2+}$(M = Ca, Sr, Ba) 형광체를 제조하고, 제조된 형광체의 광발광(photoluminescene) 및 광자극발광(photostimulated luminescence ; PSL) 특성을 조사하였다. $MCl_2:Eu^{2+}$(M = Ca, Sr, Ba)형광체의 광발광 및 광자극발광 파장은 주 모체의 양이온의 종류에 따라 조금씩 이동하였다. $CaCl_2:Eu^{2+}$ 형광체의 최적 제조조건은 $Eu^{2+}$ 이온의 농도가 0.5 mol%, 소결온도와 시간은 각각 $745^{\circ}C$, 45분이었으며, 이때 발광파장범위는 $365{\sim}388\;nm$, 피이크파장은 370 및 380 nm이었다. $BaCl_2:Eu^{2+}$ 형광체의 최적 제조조건은 $Eu^{2+}$ 이온의 농도가 0.5 mol%, 소결온도와 시간은 각각 $905^{\circ}C$, 45분이었으며, 이때 발광파장범위는 $370{\sim}460\;nm$, 피이크파장은 398 nm이었다. $SrCl_2:Eu^{2+}$ 형광체의 최적조건은 $Eu^{2+}$ 이온의 농도가 0.5 mol%, 소결온도와 시간은 각각 $840^{\circ}C$, 45분이었으며, 발광파장영역은 $380{\sim}440\;nm$, 피이크파장은 407 nm이었다. $MCl_2:Eu^{2+}$(0.5 mol%)(M = Ba, Sr) 형광체는 약 $0.25{\sim}200\;mGy$까지 선량 범위에서 선형성을 나타내었으며, 상온에서 $SrCl_2:Eu^{2+}$ (0.5 mol%) 및 $BaCl_2:Eu^{2+}$ (0.5mol%) 형광체의 광자극발광 강도는 상온에서 120분간 각각 60%, 40% 감쇠하였다. In this study, $Eu^{2+}$ ion was used as an activator in order to enhance the PL(photoluminescene) and PSL(photostimulated luminescence) intensity of $MCl_2:Eu^{2+}$(M = Ca, Sr, Ba)phosphors and the chracteristics of PL and PSL of the phosphors were investigated. The emission of $MCl_2:Eu^{2+}$(M = Ca, Sr, Ba) phosphors shows a shift wavelength when the host caution changes. The optimal preparing conditions of $CaCl_2:Eu^{2+}$ phosphor were 0.5 mol% of $EuCl_2$ and the sintering temperature were $745^{\circ}C$, 45 min. in $H_2$ atmosphere. The PL and PSL spectra of $CaCl_2:Eu^{2+}$ locate in the range of $365{\sim}388\;nm$, peaking at 370 and 380 nm. The optimal preparing conditions of $BaCl_2:Eu^{2+}$ phosphor were 0.5 mol% of $EuCl_2$ and the sintering temperature were $905^{\circ}C$, 45 min. in $H_2$ atmosphere.
