Strategic Approaches for Enhancing Electrical Conductivity in Molecular Doping

Organic conductors have recently drawn significant attention due to their potential applications in optoelectronic devices. The use of molecular doping to achieve an electrical conductivity of >100 S·cm<SUP>-1</SUP> through efficient charge carrier generation has been restricted to conjugated polymers (CPs) composed only of thiophene or its derivatives. In this contribution, a novel conjugated CP, containing both electron donating isoindoloindole (IDID) and thiophene moieties, was designed for a molecular doping platform and characterized primitive doping characteristics through molecular sequential doping. To maximize doping efficiency, new doping approaches, such as sequential cascade doping and hybrid doping, were devised, and both provided outstanding electrical conductivity, over 600 S·cm<SUP>-1</SUP>. The properties of doped CP film, such as carrier densities, mobility, and conductivity, were directly quantified using Hall effect device, and its thermoelectric performance was characterized.
ATM 네트워크상에서 EFCI와 ER을 결합한 ABR 트래픽 제어에 관한 연구

ATM 네트워크상의 ABR 서비스는 네트워크 상에서 예약형 서비스가 사용하고 남은 대역폭을 활용하여 데이터를 전송하는 방식으로 제어정보를 전송하는 피드백 매커니즘을 사용하여 네트워크상의 정체를 제어한다.<br/> 본 논문에서는 ATM 네트워크 상에서 효율적인 정체 제어를 위하여 ABR 트래픽 서비스의 전송률 제어 방식인 EFCI와 ER방식의 장점을 결합하여 네트워크 정체 상태에 따른 적응적인 제어방식을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 제어방식의 주기적인 특성과 전송된 셀의 양을 분석 제시한다. One of the main features of ABR service is the employment of a rate-based flow control mechanism, and congestion control plays an important role in the effective and stable operation of ATM networks. Feedback from the network switches to the end system gives users the information necessary to adjust transmission rates appropriately according to the current networks load. Congestion controls by feedback mechanism are classified as EFCI and ER mode.<br/> We analyze the performance of EFCI and ER and propose a new ABR traffic control strategy by integrating EFCI and ER modes to improve the traditional traffic control. Through the distributed simulation, the performance improved by the proposed control strategy is analyzed.
PC-1D 도핑프로파일에서 BSF 후면전계효과에 따른 P타입 결정질 실리콘 고효율 태양전지에 관한 연구

BSF 후면전계효과는 태양전지의 개방전압 증가를 결정하며 효율에 매우 중요한 요인이다. 본 연구에서는 p-type에서의 후면전계효과를 확인하기 위해 PC1D 시뮬레이션(Simulation)을 통해 p+ 영역의 표면농도와 깊이에 따른 전기적 특성을 분석 하였다. 최적효율을 찾기위해 면저항을 30{Omega}/{square}으로 고정하고 깊이와 표면 농도값을 가변하였다. 최적화 결과 표면농도값이 작아지고 깊이가 커질수록 효율이 좋아지는 경향이 나타났으며 Peak doping=5{times}10^{18}cm^{-3}, Juction depth=12.52um에서 최고효율 19.14%를 얻을 수 있었다. 본 시뮬레이션을 바탕으로 실제 태양전지 제작 과정에 적용 가능하다. p-type 태양전지 제작에서 후면의 p+ 영역의 깊이를 증가시키고, 표면 농도를 낮추는 공정을 통해 효율향상을 기대 할 수 있다.
제2형 당뇨병 환자에서 메트포르민 병용 시 DPP-4 억제제 복용에 따른 당뇨망막병증 발생 위험

This study examined whether using dipeptidyl-peptidase-4 inhibitors (DPP4i) increases(or lowers) the risk of diabetic retinopathy compared to sulfonylurea (SU) or thiazolidinedione (TZD) as an add-on therapy to metformin (Met) in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). A nationwide, population-based cohort study was conducted using the Korea national health insurance claims database from 2011 through 2015. From the cohort, 146,137 adults with T2D were identified as having been treated with oral glucose-lowering agents (DPP-4i, SU, TZD) in addition to Met therapy between 2012 and 2014. Cox regression analysis was used to calculate hazard ratios (HR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) for diabetic retinopathy. Total 16,517 cases of diabetic retinopathy occurred; 9,721 in DPP-4i+Met group, 659 in TZD+Met group and 6,137 in SU+Met group. The crude incidence rate was 54.8 cases per 1,000 person-years in DPP-4i+Met group compared with 47.1 in SU+Met group. Compared to SU as an add-on therapy to Met, DPP-4i significantly reduced the risk of diabetic retinopathy: the adjusted HRs was 0.87 (95% CI, 0.84-0.90). People with diabetes are at high risk of developing diabetic retinopathy. Since diabetic retinopathy is a serious complication that affects vision, managing diabetic retinopathy can improve the quality of life for diabetes patients. Our study showed that DPP-4i did not increase the risk of diabetic retinopathy compared to SU when used as a combination therapy with Met.
