Among lots of North-western Asian countries, the distortion of Korean history which is lead by China and Japan has become a serious problem. Japan distorted the Korean history over 4 times by the contents of their students' textbook, and China made it by the project called 'Dong-buk-gong-jung(東北工程)'. This project is aimed to claim that Koguryo(高句麗) and Balhae's(渤海) cultural properties are theirs. Japan and China are very closely connected with Korea, not geographically but also historically for a long time. Under this special condition, now they are about to get involved in troubles. We are facing the age that one country must have the power to keep its history, as the territory. This article will show how Japan distorted the Korean history in their textbook, and how China is proceeding their 'Dong-buk-gong-jung' project to promote the incorporation of Koguryo and Balhae's history. It is prospected that their historical perversion would continue. Therefore, I would like to offer solutions to deal with these issues, not only for a short term but also a long-range plan.

A hybrid fiber-optic sensor system which combines fiber Bragg grating sensors and a Michelson interferometer has been constructed and evaluated for condition monitoring of large scale wind turbines. In order to measure multiple stresses applied to wind turbines such as strain, temperature and vibration, the system uses single broadband light source. It addresses both types of sensors, which simplifies the optical setup and enhances the cost-effectiveness of condition monitoring system. An athermal-packaged FBG is used to supply quasi-coherent light, of which coherence length is about 3.28mm, for the Michelson interferometer demodulation. Experimental results demonstrated that the proposed fiber-optic sensor system was capable of measuring strain and temperature with measurement accuracy of 1pm. Also 500∼2000Hz vibration signals were successfully analyzed by applying FFT signal processing to interference signals.

We propose a fiber grating sensor system for condition monitoring of large scale wind turbine blades. For the feasibility test of the proposed sensor system, a down-scaled wind turbine has been constructed and experimented. Fiber grating sensors were attached on a blade surface for distributed strain and temperature measurements. An optical rotary joint was used to transmit optical signals between the FBG sensor array and the signal processing unit. Instead of broadband light source, we used a wavelength-swept fiber laser to obtain high output power density. A spectrometer demodulation is used to alleviate the nonlinear wavelength tuning problem of the laser source. With the proposed sensor system we could measure dynamic strain and temperature profiles at multi-positions of rotating wind turbine blades.

A novel fiber-optic sensor, which is based on Fresnel reflection measurement, is suggested for condition monitoring of electric power system. The sensor head is constructed by covering a fiber end tip with thermo-sensitive epoxy polymer resin. The different thermo-optic coefficients of optical fiber and polymer resin change the intensity of Fresnel reflections from the interface. The temperature can be calculated by monitoring the variation in the Fresnel reflection intensity. The temperature sensitivity could be improved by adjusting the ratio of the curing agent. In order to evaluate the feasibility of the sensor head, temperature measurements were performed in 45∼115 ℃ temperature range. From the experiments, the proposed sensor successfully measured and recovered the temperature information and the linear-fitted value of R2 was 0.99759.
