Recently it has been focused that the automobile engine has developed in a strong upward tendency for the use of the high viscosity and poorer quality fuels in achieving the high performance, fuel economy, and emission reduction. Therefore it is not easy to solve the problems between low specific fuel consumption and exhaust emission control at motor cars. In this study, it is designed and used the engine test bed which is installed with turbocharger and intercooler. In addition to equipped using CRDI by controlling injection timing with mapping modulator, it has been tested and analyzed the engine performance, combustion characteristics, and exhaust emission as operating parameters, and they were engine speeds(rpm), injection timing(bTDC), and engine load(%). From the result of an experimental analysis, peak cylinder pressure and the rate of pressure rise were increased, and the location of it was closer toward top dead center according to the increasing of engine speed and load, and with advancing injection timing. The combustion characteristics are effected by fuel injection timing due to be enhanced the mass burned fraction. Using the engine dynamometer for analyzing the engine performance, the engine torque and power have been enhanced according to advancing the fuel injection timing. In analyzing of exhaust emission, there has been a trade-off between PM and NOx with increasing of engine speed and load, and with advanced injection timing. The experimental data are shown that the formation of NOx has increased and PM, vice versa.

Since the oil shock of 1970′s there was a strong upward tendency for the use of the high viscosity and poorer quality fuels. Therefore the misfiring engine occurs due to the decrease of quantity injected for lean burn and emission control in Compression Ignition Common Rail Direct Injection diesel engine. In this study, it is designed and used the test bed which is installed with fuel injector controller. In addition to equipped engine using CRDI by controlling the injection timing with mapping modulator, it has tested and analyzed the engine performance and combustion characteristics, as it is varied that they are the operating parameters: fuel injected quantity, engine speed and injection timing.
SI 가솔린 엔진의 과급 및 흡기가 엔진 성능에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구

In this study, it is designed and used the test engine bed which is installed with turbocharger, and in addition to equipped using by oxygen adder. It has been controlled the oxygen volumetric fraction of intake air chrge, and supercharged flow rate into the cylinder of SI 4-stroke engine, and then, has been analyzed engine performance, combustion characteristics, and exhaust emission as analysis parameters. The tested parameters were the oxygen fraction and the variation of engine speed and air-fuel ratio.

Compression ignition diesel engine can reduce carbon emission than gasoline engine in case of high efficiency, output and durability. So, compression ignition diesel engine is used in various fields such as automobiles, industries and so on. Due to reducing of emission exhaust by Developing of injection and combustion type of diesel engine, emission of pollution substance is developed compared the past. Moreover, its efficiency and reduce of carbon emission is better than gasoline engine and it is used in power source of industries, transports and others because of its high efficiency and durability nowadays. In this study, we experiment by making and designing of compression ignition diesel engine witch has air-cooling, 2 cylinder and 2 strokes.

수중운동이 허혈성 뇌졸중 유발 백서의 하지근육 및 운동기능회복에 미치는 영향

Purpose: This study is intended to examine the aquatic exercise on the improvement of muscle atrophy and motor function in an ischemic stroke model induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion. Methods: We used 60 Sprague-Dawely rats which were divided into 4 groups; the subjects were divided into group of 5 rats. Group I was a group of high dose aquatic exercise after inducing ischemic stroke; Group II was a group of low dose aquatic exercise after inducing ischemic stroke; Group III was a control group, Group IV was a sham group without ischemic stroke. Results: Muscle weight of gastrocnemius muscle was significantly difference in Group II compared to Group III on 8 weeks(p<0.05). For the changes in relative muscle weight of gastrocnemius muscle, there was significant increase in Group II compared to Group III on 8 weeks(p<0.05). For neurologic exercise behavior test, Group II generally had the highest score, compared to other groups. The results of behavior test that Group II improved in degeneration and inflammation of muscle fiber and decreased in destruction of nerve cells and cerebral infarction, indicating a similar state of muscle fiber and brain to Group III. Conclusion: Based on these results, aquatic exercise may improve muscle atrophy and contribute to the improvement of motor function.

Recently the automobile engine has been developed in achieving the high performance, fuel economy, and emission reduction. In a conventional spark ignition engine the fuel and air are mixed together in the intake system, inducted through the intake valve into the cylinder, and then compressed. Under normal operating conditions, the combustion is initiated towards the end of the compression stroke at the spark plug by an electric discharge. Following inflammation, a flame develops and propagates through this premixed fuel-air mixture. Therefore the state of mixture is very important in the combustion and emission characteristics. In this study the combustion and emission characteristics were tested and analyzed with changing the mixture composition and engine operating parameters in order to improve the combustion and performance in engine.
