Microwave sensors are unique in their capability to provide timely information under conditions when other sensors are rendered inoperable by the weather. But, resolution with microwave sensors normally is poorer than with sensors operating in the optical and infrared region. Thus, a radar in which a synthetically long apparent or effective aperture is using to increase a resolution. This paper describes the fundamentals and effective application of the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) which is one of the promissing microwave sensor for earth observation.

The latitude and longitude coordinates are used in order to indicate the horizontal position of stations, which have been existed on the earth surface. In this paper, the latitude and longitude coordinates of the stations are computed by means of Schreiber's method. And the value today in our country is compared with the each result of Schreiber's method and that of Gauss kruger projection. As the result of comparsion and analysis, it is discovered that Schreiber's method is more accurate than that of Gauss kruger projection for the calculation of the latitude and longitude coordinates.

In order to obtain exact location information from the map which has different reference datum, we have to do coordinate transformation from other to reference coordinate system we use. In this paper, in order to evaluate accuracy between two maps have different ellipsoid, it is studied theory of map projection and coordinate transformation. Then, select maps about same area, select points which can be recognized on the maps for accuracy evaluation. After obtain coordinates about the points by TM projection and UTM projection, evaluated accuracy between TM coordinates, after to do Two-dimensional coordinate transformation, and after coordinate transformation from UTM to TM. As a result of this study, the maps which have different reference datum can be used if the exact transformation parameters can be obtained and applied.

Due to an urbanization phenomenon which is caused according to a large selecting land development of a city area drained by river, the keeping gate phenomenon is changed and the flood damage is happening near city river. Recently, many research to reduce such city flood damage for the prevention have been achieved, this study proposed to analyze and arrange pattern of disaster and systems designed plan and establishment further scientific, prompt service of disaster. With GIS technique for decision-making offer the necessary preliminary data(hydrography data, satellite images, DEM, etc). In order to forecast the flooding area of research object area and offer various information which can reduce the flood damage to many users, this study constructs the disaster management system using Internet GIS.

In this study, Close-Range Photogrammetry has produced some good effect on speedy spot investigation, quick settlement of traffic stagnation along with specialization efficient investigation and provention of Twice accident from traffic accident with ease as compared with conventional methods in analysis of traffic accident by tapes. Because further advantages over traditional method, a method in analysis of the traffic accidents was tried to be make a proposal in the stereo models pictured by a stereo camera then composing some plane figures which show vehicle models concerning the accidents, abstracting some needed informations from the resultants. And the cause of traffic accidents was tried to be make a proposal as analysis.
Data Exchange between Cadastre and Physical Planning by Database Coupling

The information in physical planning field shows the socio-economic potentials of land resources while cadastral data does the physical and legal realities of the land. The two domains commonly deal with land information but have different views. Cadastre has to evolved to the multi-purpose ones which provide value-added information and support a wide spectrum of decision makers by mixing their own information with other spatial/non-spatial databases. In this context, the demands of data exchange between the two domains is growing up but this cannot be done without resolving the heterogeneity between the two information applications. Both of either discipline sees the reality within its own scope, which means each has a unique way to abstract real world phenomena to the database. The heterogeneity problem emerges when an GIS is autonomously and independently established. It causes considerable communication difficulties since heterogeneity of representations forms unique data semantics for each database. The semantic heterogeneity obviously creates an obstacle to data exchange but, at the same time, it can be a key to solve the problems too. Therefore, the study focuses on facilitating data sharing between the fields of cadastre and physical planning by resolving the semantic heterogeneity. The core job is developing a conversion mechanism of cadastral data into the information for the physical planning by DB coupling techniques.

현재 수치지도의 수요와 필요성은 날로 급증하고 있다. 현행 실시하고 있는 국립지리원의 수치지도화 사업은 이런 시대적인 요구에 발맞추어 그 사업이 실행되어지고 있으며, 거의 마무리 단계에 있다. 그러나 수치지도의 필요성에 비해 정확도 평가는 잘 이루어지고 있지 않다. 이 연구에서는 수치지도의 제작공정과 정확도 평가에 관한 연구로서 수치지도가 가지고 있는 제작과 정상의 특성을 분석하고 국립지리원에서 규정하고 있는 수치지도 오차한계를 근거로 정확도를 평가하였다. 첫째 기존의 종이지도와 수치지도의 제작과정을 비교 검토하였으며, 둘째 수치지도상에서의 오류를 GEOCONV프로그램을 이용하여 수정하였다. 셋째 정확도 평가의 기본이 되는 검수점의 측량과, 검수점의 오차량을 조사하였다. 넷째 오차량을 근거로 국립지리원에서 제시하고 있는 오차한계내에 있는지를 검토하였다. 이런 공정 및 평가에 관한 연구는 수치지도 제자의 효율성과 정확도 검증면에서 활용방안을 제시하였다. Recently, Digital Map is increased rapidly by a demand and necessity. The Digital Map Enterprise had reached a working stage to keep in step with the demand of time. It now is ready for completion. But the valuation of accuracy has nat been completed rather than necessity of Digital Map. In this paper, it analyzed Digital Map the character of manufacture process as a study on manufacture and the valuation of accuracy. It estimated error limit of Digital Map according to the rules to show National Geography Government. First, it compared Paper Map with Digital Map a study on manufacture process. Second, error of Digital Map was revived by using GEOCONV program. Third, it made a vigorous examination of a survey and error of Check Point to prove the valuation of accuracy. Fourth, it investigated the amount of error to belong to error limit of National Geography Government. A study on Manufacture and estimate proposed how to practice a part of accuracy estimate and usefulness.
