Bayesian neural network를 활용한 화재 오인식 개선 연구

현재 딥러닝 모델들의 잘못된 예측으로 간혹 사고가 발생하고 있는 게 사실이다. 특히 화재 및 재난의 경우에는 피해 규모는 상상을 초월할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 화재와 같이 Data 수집이 제한되었을 때 화재의 인식률 저하를 개선하기 위하여 BNN(Bayesian neural network)의 방식 중 하나인 MC(Monte Carlo) dropout을 활용한 화재 오인식 개선에 관해 연구하였다. BNN이 화재 인식 후 불확실성의 분포가 클 때 화재일 가능성이 작다고 판단하여 CNN의 화재 판단을 보류하는 방식으로 화재 인식률을 개선 시켰다. 총 100개의 학습되지 않은 이미지를 활용하여 CNN 방식과 BNN + CNN 방식 사용 시 추론 결과를 서로 비교하였다. 그 결과 약 13%가 불확실성이 높아 개선된 추론 결과를 얻었다. 전체 데이터 확인 결과 4% 정도 에러를 고려하면 CNN에 비해 약 9% 정도 개선된 결과를 얻었다. Accidents sometimes occur due to incorrect predictions of current deep learning models. Especially damage from fire or disaster is beyond our imagination. In this paper, we studied recognition rate improvement using Monte Carlo (MC) dropout, one of the Bayesian neural network(BNN) methods to improve the low recognition rate of fire when data collection is limited, such as a fire. When BNN recognized fire and the uncertainty distribution was large, it judged that the probability of a fire was low and improved the fire recognition rate by suspending CNN's fire judgment. One hundred untrained images were used to compare the inference results when using the CNN method and BNN + CNN method. As a result, approximately 13% had high uncertainty, resulting in improved inference results. As a result of checking the entire data, considering the error of about 4%, the results were improved by about 9% compared to CNN.

가공열처리한 316L 스테인리스강의 기계적 성질과 감쇠능의 상호관계

This study was carried out to investigate the relationship between the mechanical properties and damping capacity of thermo-mechanical treated 316L stainless steel. Dislocations, ${\varepsilon}$ and ${\alpha}^{\prime}$-martensites were formed by thermo-mechanical treatment, and the grain size was changed from micrometer to sub-micrometer by 5-cycled thermo-mechanical treatment. The volume fraction of dislocations, ${\varepsilon}$ and ${\alpha}^{\prime}$-martensites was increased, and grain size of austenite increased and lengthened by the with increasing cycle number of thermo-mechanical treatment. In 5-cycled specimens, the volume fraction of ${\alpha}^{\prime}$-martensite was more than 25% and the less than 5% of volume fraction of ${\varepsilon}$-martensite was attained. With increasing number of thermo-mechanical treatment, hardness, strength and damping capacity were increased, but elongation was decreased. Damping capacity was increased with increased hardness and strength, but decreased with increased elongation, and this result was the opposite tendency for general metal.

Yeasts Associated with Roots of the Endemic Plant Mankyua chejuense

BACKGROUND: Identification of endophytic yeasts inhabiting the internal roots of the Mankyua chejuense tree requires techniques involving biotechnology. There is a need for a culture-based method to isolate and identify yeast strains associated with M. chejuense. METHODS AND RESULTS: We spread homogenized M. chejuense root samples onto glucose-peptone- yeast agar containing antibiotics, Triton X-100, and L-sorbose. A total of 152 yeast isolates were obtained and identified via phylogenetic analysis based on ITS gene sequencing. The results revealed that the root-associated yeast species included the genera Cyberlindnera (140 isolates), Candida (11 isolates), and Kluyveromyces (one isolate). Additionally, three yeast isolates showed high bioethanol production. CONCLUSION: We identified the specific yeast community associated with M. chejuense roots. These yeast isolates may have industrial applications as bioethanol producers. Our findings revealed that Cyberlindnera isolates included C. suaverolens and C. satumus, while Kluyveromyces isolates showed high bioethanol production.

국내기업은 수출시장에서 원가중심으로 가격을 설정하거나, 경쟁상황 또는 수요를 고려하여 가격을 결정하는 시장중심 접근방법을 활용하고 있다. 여기에 덧붙여 가격결정을 위한 시장정보의 수집도 가격결정 전략의 한 차원으로 파악되었다. 다음으로 세 차원의 가격결정 요인을 이용하여 수출기업을 세 그룹으로 나누어 각 그룹에 속한 기업들의 특성을 파악하였다. 원가중심 전략의 기업들이 비교적 수출비중이나 상표인지도 등에서 앞서는 것으로 나타났다. 수출성과는 경제적인 지표뿐만 아니라 경쟁사에 비해 수출 성장률이나 이익률을 어느 정도 달성하고 있는 지로 파악하였다. 수출성과 면에서는 기업들 간 유의적인 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 이와 같은 결과는 어떠한 가격전략을 사용하는지가 수출성과에 큰 영향을 미치지 못하고 있음을 보여주는 것인데 이는 기업이 내부나 외부환경에 적합한 가격결정 접근법을 취하고 있지 못하는 데 기인하는 것이라 할 수 있다. 환율변동에 대처하는 방식에서 원가를 강조하는 기업들은 해외투자, 제품의 고급화, 선물환 거래를 다른 수단보다 선호하며, 시장을 강조하는 기업은 제품의 고급화, 해외생산 순이다. 이는 해외투자의 수출관련성을 잘 보여주며, 비용을 줄이거나 시장에 가까이 가려는 해외투자 동기를 반영한다. Korean firms are using cost-based pricing or market-based pricing strategy to set export prices. Also, market intelligence is considered as a dimension of constituting pricing strategy. Three factors related to export pricing are used to group the firms. Three clusters are defined and their characteristics are analysed. The cluster of cost-based firms has higher export intensity and brand recognition than others. However, their is no difference in export performance between the clusters. It suggests that those firms are not pricing their products effectively to achieve firm objectives under changing internal and external environments. To deal with appreciation of the won, firms employing cost-based pricing prefer foreign direct investment, product differentiation, and forward contract to other options. On the other hand, firms emphasizing market-based pricing frequently use product differentiation and foreign direct investment.
